I wtne to Dr. Carnes for a Root Canal in Jan. 2006. It did not work, so he suggested I have an Apicoectomy. I agreed, as I was in a lot of pain. About 30-60 seconds BEFORE he began this surgery, he mentioned that "I could be numb in the lower mouth/jaw area for up to 6 months." I couldn't very well jump up and out of the dental chair, and obviously, went ahead with this surgery. From this procedure, I have Trigeminal (sp.) Nerve Damage in my lower jaw. I have been in chronic, excessive pain for over 5 years. I have seen so many Dr.s, an Acupuncturist, etc. I've lost count. Today, and for the past 5 years, I have to take very strong and expensive narcotic pain medicine, and will most likely have to continue this for the rest of my life. I have been told that this nerve damage will never get better. Dr. Carnes basically ruined my life and I am going to try to seek some sort of damages from him. I have endured such pain, suffering, and mental/emotional issues from this; it is the worst thing that could have ever happened to me.

Dr Carnes has done dental surgery & root canals on my teeth over the years with very little discomfort, caring prompt follow through. This experienced dentist puts you at ease from your first appointment answering your questions, using high tech X-rays & equipment showing you exactly what the problem & solution is, and then taking care of the problem fast, correctly, comfortably for the patient, and even calls you to be sure you're ok. His partners Burqueist & Graves are terrific too.

PROS: specialist, open, caring
