.

When my floors received water damage from frozen pipes, I chose Guy??s Floors. The company??s fine reputation and the promises I received convinced me that my floor would be restored to its original condition. In January, 2009, the representative explained that with the sanding Guy??s completed on my kitchen floor, my floor would dry out and could be successfully refinished after testing for moisture content. Guy??s refinished the floor in April 2009. By June the kitchen floor was crowning. I was assured that the floor could be re-sanded and the problem would be taken care of; my floor just hadn??t dried as much as they had thought.
The floor was redone in December 2009, which allowed several additional months for drying. I was unable to use my kitchen or my basement office with ease for an entire week during the second sanding and treatment of the floor. Unbelievably the floor is crowning again. The workmanship was so poor that Guy??s workers gouged the floor while re-sanding and laid down an uneven finish. Furthermore I learned that the floor probably still has not dried out entirely, after 15 months, and may continue to warp and crown. I have received not only extremely poor service from the staff, but bad advice. The floor should have been replaced.
I would not recommend that anyone use Guy's, they seem to be unclear about what needs to be done and do poor work.
