Im so glad that I finally found a place like Granite Depot. I moved to Denver about a year ago to take a new job a restore an old house. I havent had a lot of free time or a ton of money so I looked around at various home improvement stores when I could. Most of them seemed to have either bland or little inventory and I was expected to arrange for various contractors to finish the jobs. I wanted my kitchen counter tops completed first because the old ones were so bad I hated cooking at home. I was told about an area that had a row of granite shops but they were mostly rundown buildings with tired old inventory and (again) I was expected to do all the leg work. This ala carte pricing is pretty confusing and expensive, not to mention youre never sure whos ultimately, if anyone, taking responsibility for your project.

I was watching channel 9 one day and Denise Plante said her mother had just had a great experience with Granite Depot. They have a beautiful showroom at I-70 and Monaco and an amazing warehouse with thousands of granite slabs. No samples I was able to pick the exact pieces that were going into my kitchen. More importantly they had trained and professional desgners that took care of everything.

Granite Depot is obviously the busiest place I went to and I had to wait to be professionally measured and my installation took about a month to complete. Well, despite that frustration it's right what they say about the best things being worth waiting for. Thank you Granite Depot, my kitchen is beautiful and Im cooking at home again!

As I write this I have been waiting for 10 hours for Granite Depot to install my granite. The lack of communication and professionalism of this company is unparalleled from any company I have ever dealt with. Excuses were rampant - machines break down, we had bad people working in customer service that we have fired. I have heard it all! Whether I love the granite after the install is almost a moot point - it will take a long time not to think about this horrible experience every time I look at my kitchen counters. So beware - spend your hard earned money somewhere else. I wish I had. Spending thousands of dollars to get treated like this is definitely more than a disappointment. Guess that's the last time I listen to Tom Martino.

My wife Holly and I were Granite Depot customers before we were their spoke persons.

I endorse them because I see their work every day and believe in what they do. As Colorado??s best one-stop-shop for direct importing, selection, price and installation, you can trust Granite Depot.

I??ve been fighting for consumers more than 30-years utilizing Radio, TV, Newspapers, Magazines and the Internet. My ??Troubleshooter? brand has garnered millions of loyal fans.
My Exclusive Referral List background checks all sponsors and continually monitors them for compliance to a strict code of ethics and excellent customer service. Sponsors also sign an agreement that they will solve consumer problems to our satisfaction or they will be removed from the list! A long ago I realized I needed to do more than simply expose ??bad guys?.
While I consider my work exposing unethical businesses important, I feel it is just as important to promote the "good guys"?. like Granite Depot.

What a treat! Granite Depot saved my Christmas. I??m new to Colorado and the house I purchased needed a lot of work, but I wasn??t expecting to host a holiday party this year.
I needed my kitchen and bathroom counter tops replaced in a hurry so I asked one of my new co-workers where to go. She said Granite Depot did her kitchen before Thanksgiving and it turned out great. I went into their big showroom off the highway and met with one of their design staff. They had a huge selection and did the installation themselves. Anyway, a few days later someone came out to measure and then Robert (the installer) and his assistant did a fabulous job with the installation. They were conscientious, and the workmanship of the installation was excellent. I would also like to comment that the person who came out to do the template was also great! (I forget his name). And I love having a real sink!! What a treat! (not that 4" deep piece of you-know-what that the cheap builders install). I still need to get my master bathroom and laundry room done, but Granite Depot has really transformed my kitchen into the favorite room in the house! Warm regards, Rochelle R

I wanted to take the time to tell you how much I have enjoyed working with you and your team. This was the first time I had ever had the chance to do a kitchen remodel and my brother had me prepared for the worst- not getting what I would want, having to pay too much, etc. So when I stopped in and had the chance to work with Deb, she quickly laid out a floor plan for me that was both functional, economical, and affordable. I got exactly the style I wanted and now have so much more space than the original kitchen ever had. Plus, it is BEAUTIFUL! She was extremely patient with me as we worked through items that are standard but unknown to me and when I left I could not be happier about what was going to be ordered and installed. With the changes between that date and the final order, all of those were made and resulted in beautiful additions to the loft.

I also want to tell you how great it has been working with Dallas. He is ALWAYS there when he says he will be, extremely efficient, careful not to damage anything in my loft, was willing to go early to partially demo the job so my pipefitter could get in to install the new gas line and conscientious in his follow up and getting in touch with me at every step of the process. When I stopped in to see him the day of the installation and found he was going to be the ONLY person doing it, I had no hope he would actually be able to complete the work in one day- wow, he not only finished hanging what he had but also even had to dummy space for the remaining cabinet so my granite date would be retained. He followed up with me multiple times letting me know about things that did not get finished (missing cabinet, need to align doors, the number of pulls I would need to get for him to install and the end etc.) so that I would not "freak out" when I got there to see what remained. I trust him completely with this project and thoroughly enjoyed working with him.

I have so enjoyed this process and remain incredibly impressed by the communication between all three of you to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible.

Thank you and please thank both of them for all this effort. I cannot wait to see the final product and know I will have wonderful opportunities to show off you work to all my friends when they come to me in my new home. Sandy

We love our new "Cabana" color granite. We were new shoppers to granite and to Granite Depot. What a great experience, they were so much help to us and yet let us just look around and find out what we really liked. Our new granite kitchen and powder bath counter tops were installed by three very knowledgeable young men... they did a great job on both rooms. I do not remember all their names, but the one in charge said he was the brother of the owner. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Granite Depot... I'm sure we will shop there again soon.

I own multiple homes and am a frequent "fix & flip" customer. Purchasing granite is not one of my favorite things to do, as it entails getting numerous companies involved just to complete the installation. This was my first trip to Granite Depot, as their advertising lured me in, and it will be the first of many. Kate, the sales manager, assisted me through the process and I am thuroughly pleased with the end result. Each time that a question arose the staff was right on top of it. Kate was professional in each aspect of the word and has earned my repeat business. I will be back soon!

My wife Joy and I really appreciate the assistance Granite Depot provided in the selection and purchase of the countertops for our Grand Lake house.

It was fun working with Granite Depot as their product knowledge, abilities to quickly understand our situation and bringing about the decision made was a special display of a true professional business. We appreciate their efforts and are looking forward to a successful installation. Dan J Wilhelm ?? Grand Lake

We had a great experience with granite depot! We were surprised to see how easy it was to get our granite counter tops. We picked them out with assistance and designer knowlegde from our sales rep and they did the rest from fabrication to instalation. They kept in contact with us until our job was complete and it turned out wonderfully!

Thanks for the wonderful job that your company did. We never used or even shopped for granite before. Your walking us thru the process and the following thru are questions was great. We're so happy that everything happened just the way it was scheduled. The plumber and the installers were on time and did a great job... the kitchen looks new again. We would recommend Granite Depot to any one that is looking to put in counter tops or other kitchen products.

I found these guys on Tom Martino's website and they did an amazing job. It was a little hard to find them because they have moved from their old building on his site to the corner of I-70 and Monaco. But, they had a huge selection and good pricing. My kitchen was installed this week and they used and extra piece of granite from that job to do my bathroom for free.

Our experience with Granite Depot has been incredibly frustrating. Our first mistake was making full payment before the work was complete.

When the template maker finally made it out he said the fit below the existing backsplash would be tight, but that the granite would fit below the existing backsplash. When the installers came out the granite would not fit beneath the existing backsplash. It looks like perhaps the template maker measured the front board on the existing countertop and not the actual thickness of the existing counter top.

The only way to get the counter top to install was to let the installers remove the bottom row of tiles in the backsplash. Then of course we had gaping holes because big chunks of drywall come off with the tile. There had been no indication that this would be a problem and was not in our original plan.

So our next step was to deal with a messed up backsplash and we had a holiday party coming up so there was a hard deadline. We made repeated calls to Granite Depot to fix the backsplash and make it right and every day we were promised they would call us back but nobody did. Finally my wife asked to speak to a manager and stated she would not hang up until somebody spoke to her. Kate Uhlar (sales manager / assistant to president) answered the phone and basically told my wife there wasn't really anything they could do. My wife mentioned that after the fact she had looked at reviews online and if she had seen the negative reviews she was finding she would have never used Granite Depot. Kate responded that they have an A rating with the BBB. To that my wife responded that she would be filing a complaint with the BBB. It was only at that point the Kate changed her tune and Granite Depot started to do anything to help us get our backsplash finished. They finally agreed to use remnants from another installation at no cost and fix our backsplash.

We continually told them that there was a hard deadline to have the installation complete by 12/9/2010. They scheduled the installation for 12/9. We warned them a number of times that this left no time to recover from any problems they might run into but the promised everything would be fine. When the installers arrived they had no plan to deal with the grout line between the granite to be installed and the existing tiles above it and they were stating we would need to find a way to deal with the grout line even though they had promised everything would be complete today. Do these people have a clue? I would say NOT. Finally they decided they would try to match caulking with the existing grout and fill the seam. What should have occurred is they thould have removed the existing grout and refilled in the grout. This may be OK temporarily, but we will probably need to have this redone at some point.

Finally, looking at the positive reviews for this company, it is interesting that on July 5, 2010 Kate Uhlar (one of the managers we have been trying to work with) gave a raving review for the company. Many of the other positive reviews were also during July 2010. You be the judge.

I give 5 STARTS to GRANITE DEPOT. Me and my wife have not skills when it comes to updating our home. We had a hard time finding a company that would take care of all of our needs from beginning to end. Granite Depot has by far one of the Best Granite Selections in town and best of all they can handle your project from beginning to end. All I had to do was place the order and they handled the plumbing, old counter top removal & disposal, getting accurate measurements, and installation of granite. I even got a FREE Stainless Steel sink and edge upgrade on top of the discount I received on my material.

My husband and I had been researching granite for years now, yet were not financially able to afford it. We were able to complete our kitchen and two bathrooms for thousands less than our other quotes. The experience was great and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be buying from them in the future for our next home!??

My wife and I had been shopping for granite here in Denver for some time, until we paid a visit to Granite Depot. We found a color that we loved (Kalahari) that we hadn't seen anywhere else. We purchased and were templated the same week. We were able to participate in the layout process and got to choose exactly how our kitchen would look. The installation crew was on time yesterday morning and worked very hard. We received a call from the customer service department that afternoon, to ensure that we were happy. As business owners ourselves, we are firm believers that when you encounter an excellent experience you should boast about it, this was exactly that from start to finish! Thank you Granite Depot!

Pros:Friendly, knowledgeable staff, large selection and excellent service (they were open on Sunday), and they own their own fabrication shop.

Cons:We drove across town to visit them, but now wish we had gone there first.

Granite Depot lived up to their word...
My granite was installed yesterday by Tony and Joe from Granite Depot. I wanted to compliment them on their professionalism, and amazing work. They stayed beyond normal working hours to make sure there was no stone left unturned. My place looks great, and the granite is beautiful. I know that I was probably a pain to work with, but ultimately Granite Depot lived up to your word, and completed my project within the agreed upon budget. Undoubtedly you will receive referrals from me, as people will want to know about my gorgeous counter-tops.

Granite Depot recently installed new kitchen countertops in our home, and we are very pleased with the results. The overall process was professional, complete and well-cordinated.

We appreciate the owner's personal involvement in inspecting the counters.

Your installation crew, Ben and Al, did and excellent job. We also appreciate the follow-up by Eric in Customer Service.

We are enjoying our beautiful new countertops!

We bought granite countertops and floor tile from the Granite Depot on Stapleton. The countertops and the installation went great. However, the tile, which was large and rectangular, was bowed in the middle; meaning, when layed in a brick pattern, there were humps at every joint.

The tile setters tried for a day and a half to lay this tile. They tried adding extra thin set, they tried propping the low parts up with pieces of cardboard, before telling us how much trouble they were having and saying they just couldn't do it. The job was a rather large one, over 600 square feet, and they couldn't get two courses to look right.

We called Interceramic, the manufacturer, and told them of the problem. They are the ones who gave us the term "bowed", and they said to call Granite Depot and take the tile back so their rep could see it. Then we called Granite Depot and they too said to bring it back.

Now, we're talking about over 3,000 pounds of tile, so this is no small task. When our contractor took it back, they started telling him there was nothing wrong with it and he needed to take it back with him.
This is after they used their fork lift to take it off his van. He called me and said they wouldn't give him a paper saying they received it, so I told him to leave and I would take care of it.

We then went to the store and Ruth was very "nice" to us. She got a level and we showed her how uneven the tile was. She agreed that the rep should look at it. We asked her for a receipt and she brought one to us. I asked her why she wouldn't give one to Juan, our contractor. She said she was getting him one, but "you know he only understands English when he wants to".

We had special ordered this tile and waited over two weeks for it to come in. We were in the middle of a large remodel project, and there was no way we could stop, reorder the same tile, wait another two weeks and hope the next tile would not be bowed again; so we went to a tile supplier and bought "off the shelf".

We were eventually told by our sales person, Kate, that the rep agreed with us and the tile is in fact bowed and that they would be issuing a full refund.

Two weeks later, and no refund in sight, we called again and spoke with the owner Andrew. He said Kate never said we were getting a refund and that we were calling her a liar for saying she did. He will not have a respectful conversation on the phone and screams and is very sarcastic.

My only recourse was to call the credit card company and have the invoices charged back to them. I'm sure they will fight this and it will likely end up in court. We told them if they would refund the charges, we wouldn't ask for the money we spent for transporting the tile back and forth to them, and for the day and a half of labor we paid the workers to try and work with faulty materials.

When you buy granite from them, there are multiple pages with multiple places you have to initial statements saying you understand that granite is not man-made and that there may be imperfections. When you buy tile, there are no such statements.

Richard and I want to take this opportunity to thank Granite Depot for the great job they did. It was so very nice of them to take the time to come out to our home to take the right measurements and then to have them work as hard as they did to make our dream of granite counters come true.

I have given their names to everyone who asks about our experience and I hope that Granite Depot's business will countinue to flourish at their new I-70 & Monaco location. Granite Depot should give classes on customer service, Granite Depot is the best and so very good at what they do.

Thank you for all of your kindness, we are so very greatful to Granite Depot and incredibly delighted with our "new" kitchen.

I know that typically people only let you know when things go wrong, that's why I make a point to let people know when things go right! Both the installers and plumber were very polite and did such a great job. They should all be commended for their professionalism. It has been our pleasure to work with everyone at Granite Depot so I'll send anyone looking for counter tops their way.

DO NOT PAY IN FULL TILL THEY COMPLETE THE JOB!

I paid in full (over $4,000) about a year and a half ago and they messed up their paper work and brought the wrong color of granite (supposed to be Tan Brown but they brought New Venitian Gold). LIke those two colors are even close! I would not accept their screw up and have kindly worked with them for over a YEAR and now they don't want to finish their job because they already have my MONEY!

Terrible customer service, Laxadasical attitude, I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GD again.

There are other installers in Northern Colorado who are less expensive for identical job. (Boulder Granite and Hunts Custom Stone to name a few)

We finally decided to update our 1990's HR kitchen. We bought the house about two years ago and it had the typical "honey" oak cabinets and cream color laminate counters.

I've been shopping around at home improvement stores and little shops almost since day one. It seemed like everything was either over-priced, outsourced or I needed to be a contractor to get it installed.

We bought new cabinets and counter tops from Granite Depot over Memorial Day and had everything installed before the July 4th weekend.

They had the best prices, service and selection. Granite Depot did everything for us including saving us a ton of time and money.

Granite Depot had to do a lot of extra work to get my home ready for my kitchen and bathroom countertops.

I thought the fabrication and installation went incredibly smoothly and I loved how they matched up the counter tops with the back splash.

They did my tile, granite, cabinets and plumbing. I??m very grateful that I didn??t have to run all over town to get this stuff done.

I visited Granite Depot this passed weekend. Even though they were still in the process of moving they were very helpful and friendly. The new building has a lot to offer as far as colors and styles! I was very happy with the whole experience.
