1 Stars: WORST PLACE EVER! VERY RUDE!!! (by christinetim)

I went to this place the first time, and was talked into spending $650 on diagnostics, which they couldnt find anything wrong, and I still had the SAME problem as I drove off. They overtightened the oil filter, which didnt even need to come off in the first place, and then yelled at me and hung up on me after calling me names because Dodge couldnt get it off either, so we all must be stupid. Anyway, the only reason I came back a second time was because when I was there I entered their fish bowl drawing and actually won $50 towards free repairs, so I decided to get an oil change on my car with it. Grease monkey always charges around $35, and the dealership charges $19, so I figured this would fit under my $50 winnings... So I got there at 7am, my car was the first in there, and as of 11:30 pm I was still waiting. Well, my car was finally done but RAY wouldnt let me leave because he said I still owed money. They wanted to charge over $69 for my oil change!!! Why??? because I won the drawing, they still wanted to get some type of money out of me??? I figured so. Anyway, I was waiting patently and was standing by the counter trying to get out of there since I had been there 4 1/2 hours for an oil change already, when RAY came out yelled in my face in front of other customers and a delivery guy, telling me to get the hell out and never come back, that my time isnt important to them and how dare I come there and be in a hurry, and i dont like the amount they charged me, look for a bill in the mail, and I will go to court if they dont get paid, and so on... I am only 5 ft tall and maybe 100 lbs, I never even complained about the wait or the bill amount, I just wanted to get out of there already, and He was so in my face I actually thought I was going to get pushed. I left litterally crying! I am telling you, NEVER go to these people! RAY the so called christian owner is the most rude and threatning person I have ever come across in my whole life. Not to mention the rip offs he charges!!! BEWARE!!!

My father and I actually worked for Mr. Payton. He not only degrades his customers but also his employees. Several times I would hear him yelling at people in general. My father slaved himself to Ray for a little over a year before he threw his hands up and said I dont need this. I left due to the stress level in the shop. I would walk in and Ray would be yelling at someone on a constant basis. Its sad really. And his poor wife I love her dearly, I cant believe that she has not walked away herself. My father had gone weeks without a paycheck and having Ray state that my father owed him money. When my father did go to get his tools and such Ray threw a massive fit and told my brothers and father to get off his property. The police had to be notifyed for my father to get his thousands of dollars worth of tools. How petty. And how Christian of him. Again I would like to state that Ray's wife is a doll and I would do anything for her but when its come's to The King's Garage NO WAY!!!! I would not recommend this buisness to anyone..

The owner Ray is quite possibly the rudest person I have ever encountered in business. He acted like a child and hung up on me multiple times, he also informed me to "shut my mouth and listen to him because he will be the one doing the talking." He demanded cash after already agreeing to payment with a credit card over the phone and then made things difficult for us to pick up our vehicle so he would make more money in storage fee's. I would never recommend him to anyone unless you like being scammed and treated horribly then go for it.

I am still in shock over a terrible experience my husband and I had here last year. We had our car in The King's Garage for almost 8 weeks with NO answers as to what was wrong or what could be done. The business was very unresponsive and condescending when they did talk to us. The initial estimate was reasonable, but when we FINALLY got word from Ray, the owner, about our options for repair, the actual cost was thousands more than the estimate! My husband knows a thing or two about cars and knew we were getting scammed. When we told Ray we wanted to take our business elsewhere, we ended up getting yelled at, insulted, and had Ray hang up the phone on us more than once in an angry rage. He will not listen to reason. We ended up literally loading our car (in pieces) with our own hands onto a tow truck and having it towed across town where another garage (Keep Kool) completed the job within a week for less than half the cost of King's Garage. Keep Kool also offered a warranty on their work which they have stood behind, and they have done a great job with our car. I would recommend taking your car to Keep Kool for any job....AVOID THE KINGS GARAGE!!

Great place if you like being ripped off!To say Ray Payton is a scam artist would be a huge understatement. This guy would rip off his own grandmother. Absolutely every word that comes out of his mouth is a total lie and if you believe him then say goodbye to your hard earned money.It is hard to believe that any place could possibly stay in business by being so deceptive to their customers.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Ray, the owner of this business is going bankrupt. Because he has made poor decisions in running his business during tough economic times he has chosen to now try to take everybody down with him. He has filed me with collections, damaging my fragile credit, for a non-existent debt. His collectors have been extremely rude and he has himself been a nightmare to deal with. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE KINGS GARAGE!!

This business did work that I did not authorize, and still charged me. Plus, they "couldn't find what the problem was with my truck", but still charged me $250 for "diagnostics". Avoid this place, please!
From the lies we were told (owner, Ray, said there were no used engines avaliable for our car) to the time it takes to recieve promised correspondence (6 weeks for an explanation of options for repair) to the RUDENESS (he yelled at me and my fiancee, and hung up on us BOTH at separate occasions) THIS WAS THE WORST BUISINESS EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Please avoid this shop, and the owner, who will talk your ear off trying to upsell you into thousands of dollars of extra work. Thank God we got it out of there in pieces before it could get any worse!
