Best sushi and sake in Denver. They even made something special that I requested. Nice friendly service.

Calamari was greasy and flavorless. The mango dipping sauce was awful and without flavor. The stuffed scallops had COLD crabmeat inside!!!! I was wondering if I was going to be sick after. Tuna rolls fell apart and were EXTREMELY unfresh.

We went for the Restaurant Week deal, and ended up getting "lost" in the amazing sushi.

Excellent, and unique sushi creations.
John White took great care of us during our first visit. We asked him to "surprise us" and the creations he gave us were off the charts!
We definitely plan on going back for seconds some day.

We asked for a sake recommendation, and were given an excellent recommendation.

Thanks for the excellent experience.

Hapa in Cherry Creek has fresh and pretty good sushi/food (but not as good as Sushi Sasa or Sushi Den/Izakaya Den). It's a hopping joint (no pun intended!) and quite the scene on the weekends, but if you can ignore it and enjoy a great meal, you won't regret it!

Well! I know this is a favorite of LOTS of cherry creek patrons, but I've never been impressed. For what you get for the money, I'd much rather wait in line for Sushi Den, sorry Hapa lovers.

A hip spot to meet with friends for sushi appetizers or dinner before a night out on the town. Be sure to get there early or make reservations on busy nights. Dress to impress. You can get better sushi for cheaper prices elsewhere, but go to Hapa if you want to be part of the scene.

Hapa Sushi sets itself apart from most sushi restaurants found in the Denver Metro area mostly due to its innovative menu. Not only are the item titles creative (try the Foreplay, Green Eggs and Ham, or Booty Call rolls) but the ingredients are too; there's cream cheese, apples, and mandarin oranges. The food is a bit costly, but well worth it. Of the four locations I've been to the one in Cherry Creek and the atmosphere there is great; very modern and sheek yet elegant. I definitely recommend stopping in (or making a reservation because they're very popular) after a long hard shopping day at Cherry Creek Mall.

Editorial from

This hip sushi place is one of Denver's hottest Japanese eateries. The decor is straight up chrome and glass. The chic sake bar and the wraparound sushi bar draw expensively but casually dressed young professionals. Expect a wait,…
