TOMMY KNOCKER THEIVES! You do not want to eat or drink here in this Idaho Ravine unless you enjoy getting ripped off. They will cheat you out of your meal money and they will steal your money, your hard earned money off the bar

So a friend and I went stopped into Tommyknocker Brewery after hiking and sat at the bar and ordered dinner and a beer. The bartender was extremely unfriendly. Not only did he engage with us only when he absolutley had to, he seemed hostile. He was also like this with other customers, he seemed annoyed when people spoke to him. A very icy and impersonable ass. Don't order your beer from the red headed bartender with black glasses. Yikes!??

Love the buffalo burgers here - done just right. The maple beer is great as well, very buttery and smooth. Cozy and friendly atmosphere, great service.

I stopped in this place with my niece on the way home from a day on the slopes, on a recommendation to try the mashed potatoes! They were awesome! If all you stop for is potatoes, it's worth it. The rest of the menu is good and the prices are decent too. It's very conveniently off I70, so if you're stuck in traffic, stop in and enjoy!

My friend and I took a tour of the brewery with a very informative brewmaster who was happy to answer all of our questions. The restaurant is in the same room as the brewery and had better than the average offerings from a bar type menu. The nachos were some of the best I've had. They offer a sampler of 10-11 of their beers for $12.95, which was a great introduction to their products. The maple nut brown is especially good - I lament it's not available where I live.

Pros: Beer, Inexpensive

Named after the mining gnomes elves that allegedly aided the town's 19th century miners, this is a fine example of what a brewpub should be. For starters, the building is a 100-year-old former hotel loaded with rustic charm. It's now been…
