America's Best Contacts

I purchased 3 pairs of glasses from America's Best. They offered a package that was a pretty good price based on the checking that I had done at other places. The person who helped me with placing the order was very nice. She told me it would take 7 - 10 business days to get the glasses, but usually it took less time. She also told me she would follow up on Monday with the doctor so I could order contacts. I never heard anything further from her.After 8 business days i called the store and asked about my glasses. I was told one pair had arrived, one pair was on it's way and the other pair was just completed yesterday and had not been shipped. I explained that I was only able to come in on a Saturday and asked if all 3 would be there by then and was told quite curtly that she did not know. I was welcome to call back tomorrow and check if they were in. When I asked which pair was in she said she had no way to know that. In other words, don't bother me, I don't care. Unfortunately, I don't always get the sense that some of the employees are very interested in customer service. Follow up and follow through is almost non existent, no matter how much they promise they will take care of things and no matter how nice they are.So bottom line, is it a good deal? Yes I think the prices are pretty good, but frame selection is limited. And do not expect to get glasses at the advertised prices of $69.00 unless you need a simple single vision pair of glasses with no tint, scratch protection or anything extra.I have ordered glasses from them 3 times and not once have the glasses arrived in 7 business days. More often it is closer to 3 weeks, so if that is not a problem for you, then you will be satisfied. I have also had to send most glasses back at least once to be redone. That can happen anyplace, but the problem is that you have to wait another 2 - 3 weeks to get them again.Overall, I would recommend this business if you are not in a hurry for your glasses, do not expect much in the way of customer service and understand the chance of getting glasses for the advertised price is very small.

My husband and I went in on the same day. He received his glasses in 6 days. My glasses arrived on the 9th day....unfortunately, they did not tint my sunglasses. I paid for the tint, but they didn't write it on the order. They told me they would put a "rush" on my sunglasses (which is 4 business days). It's been 1 week, so I phoned them. My glasses won't be in until the middle of next week. Customer Service at this facility is terrible!

I have gone to Americas Best For almost 20 years. They are fast and efficient and always very courteous to me. I would not go anywhere else. The price and quality are great!
Anywhere you go, each place charges an upgrade for bifocals, special tenting, scratch resistant. So I am definately happy with the service and quality of my glasses. I would never go spend $300.00 at some optical where I can get two for less than what anyone else would charge me for some place else.

I took my mother and I to get glasses. The doctor was great, but the staff really sucked! I ended up spending over 500.00 on glasses for me and my mom. Beware that 69.00 and 99.00 deal it is bull! And still to this day I have not got my mother's glasses back it has been almost 3 weeks. I found out that I could have gotton a pair of my glasses tinted ,I found this out thru customer service(when I finally got thru after 15 mins. hold time), but the sales lady never offered or said anything then on top of that the sales lady charged me for an 15.00 exam that I didn't get. There was no call to say the glasses were on back order. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I am to the point now I will just pay for the exam and get my money back for the glasses. It's not worth my time. Stick with the professionals(not America's Best) and when it seems to good to be true most likely it is.

America's Best located north of 88th Ave and Wadsworth Blvd is anything but the best. They were to provide eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses for a simple prescription (they did the test). The glasses were delayed over 3 weeks, when they arrived they were broken and had to be reordered. The next order was 2 weeks late. The glasses that arrived were in the wrong frame. They had order the clear glasses in the sunglasses frame. Now the original frame chosen was sold out and a new frame had to be selected. The incorrect glasses were sent back and the sunglasses arrived but without the tint. The store tinted them in shop, instead of at the factory as promised. 5 days later the clear glasses arrived. Glasses promised in 2-3 days with 7 days maximum took over 7weeks!! Both glasses frames broke within one day. The store repaired them. I registered this complaint with the store and received a 50% cash refund. Very nice solution to the problem. However, as glasses are a necessary part of life for the wearer; I cannot recommend this shop. We spent over $175 on a 2 for $99 offer. Use caution!
