I have played here for years and i love it. A lot of people complain about this place because the dont have it their way. Not only have i played here but i used to umpire, and let me tell you, even though there are disagreements there are always solutions. There needs to be some solutions about keeping the fields a little better but I wouldnt play anywhere else

Pros: huge affordable beers

Cons: field not maintained well

I have played here for at least 18 yrs and have to say management doesn't manage the owner does. If you have a problem it doesn't get resolved. Schedules are always messed up and you do play the same teams over and over. This place can be great but it won't unless the owners have their youngest son run it full time and everyone else butts out including mom! Fields are fields, umps are umps..what matters is the how the leagues are run and they aren't run well. If you just want to play and don't care about anything else then it's cool.

Pros: You can play a lot of games since no one checks rosters

Cons: You play the same teams over and over and scheduling sucks

I have to disagree with the above review. I played in a softball country operated league that was on the same night as a Sports Monster League. For one, Softball Country does not pay the umpires. If you are in a regular league, the teams are required to cover the umpire costs, $8 per game. As for Sports Monster leagues, Sports Monster takes the responsibility of paying the referees.

Softball Country is one of the best places you can play for competition and fun. They are also very affordable, around $300-400 for 30+ games. Finally, they have a liquor license, meaning you can drink while you play!

This place is terrible to sign your team up for. This was our teams first year together and we went on sports monster to sign up. We got stuck in softball country and wow is it bad. They don't have nearly enough teams for a full leauge. Our league has 4 teams so we constantly play the same people over and over. They charge even the players to get in everygame on top of paying the fee to enter the leauge. Then the schedual is constantly messed up and the wins and losses are way off. One week they just cancled the whole thing because they did not have enough money to pay the umpires and people to run it. They wait till its practically pitch black to turn the lights on because there to damn cheap to turn them on any sooner. They only good thing is that there beers are huge and only $4. Find somewhere else to play like a city league or something becasue this place is worthless.
