I swear that the only people who ever write reviews are those who like to complain! I just went online to find Dari's (Master Tailors) phone number and saw negative reviews and felt compelled to write. I have been going to Dari at Master

Dari's did a phenomenal job on my wedding dress that I purchased at Mariel. He did everything that he said he was going to do and charged me exactly what he said he was going to charge. My dress has a lot of beading on the top...he took that in and it's absolutely seemless. The bottom of the dress had a lot of work with different layers and again...he amazed me. He did a better job than I ever thought anyone would do! I would recommend anyone to go to Dari's for a job well done. He is not the most friendly person at the beginning, but in the end he was very nice...he definitely cares about his work. If you are looking for a job well done, take your clothes to Dari!

PS. I don't know what happened with these negative reviews, but REALLY do not even bother reading them. If I had to do this all over again, I would take my dress to Dari's. I had a wonderful experience with him!

Pros: Dari knows how to Tailor!

Cons: Nothing

I purchased my wedding dress (it was actually a "bridesmaid dress" without a train or beading and made from a cotton lace) from a nice salon in Cherry Creek. I needed basic alterations and because the salon is corporately run they have set prices that a manager confirmed was high. I was quoted $250 and she agreed that for what I needed it could be done cheaper elsewhere. The salon referred me to 3 tailors suggesting Dari's as the best. Dari was fine, definitely not overly friendly. At the fitting we asked what the price would be, he said that it is charged by the hour and he thought it would take about 3-3.5 hours at about $50/hour. Being very easy going I went with it figuring he was respected in the area and a referral. I was given a date to pick it up and when I arrived that day I put on the dress and there were still temporary stitches in it and other things not finished. He apologized saying he just didn't know why it wasn't done. I had to take the time to come back which was slightly irritating. When picking it up he had piece of paper in front of him with chicken scratch all over it and the total came to $300. I was floored this was $50 more than the salon and double what I expected. I asked him for a break down and he didn't have an answer for me, the only thing he could tell me was that to press my vail it was "about" $50. I don't expect things for free but I felt like he took advantage of me. My husband called and tried to talk to him and Dari was completely rude, he told him that he is running a business and can't do things for free. In the end he agreed to refund us $100, a month later it was never refunded and we had to follow up with him to get it done. The main issue here is that he charges by the hour and my dress wasn't even done when I went to pick it up although he thought it was, so exactly how does he clock this "time". When given an estimate of 3-3.5 hours I wouldn't expect the job to actually take 6.

Mariel's, where I bought my wedding dress, referred me to Dari, claiming he was the best in town. I was disappointed to find that the customer service was terrible and his alterations were not satisfactory at all. I had to go back multiple times because he never really changed anything. He was uninterested and did not pay attention to any detail.
He overcharged for simple alterations and when I questioned him on the charges he proceeded to tell me about his financial position and about how wedding dresses were not a profit for him. He also told me that he is not in the practice of keeping brides in the know as to how many hours he is spending on the alterations because then they would not come to him. At the end of the conversation he told me never to come back and to tell my friends that same. All I did was quest ion a $400 (yes $400 dollars!) alteration on a simple wedding dress with no beading, that was taken in less than an inch and hemmed. Not only did he tell me not to come back but he hung up on me! I forgot for a second that I was speaking to an adult business owner and not a child. I am beyond disappointed with both Mariel's and Dari's. If you want to have a pleasent wedding dress alterations experience do not go here! Stick to jeans and dress shirts Dari!

Pros: None

Cons: Bad service, overpriced

I brought a bridesmaid dress into Dari's to have it altered and was very frustrated at the service. I had asked them to save the "scraps" from the dress upon the request of the bride for the flowers, this was not done and there was no apology for throwing them out - even though I saw Dari write this note down when I brought the dress in. I went back when it was supposed to be completed and it was not altered on the right seam (probably because he was not paying any attention during my fitting) so the dress was too big in several places still. When I pointed this out he didn't seem to care and went back to helping one of his other customers. When I did finally pick up the dress (still didn't fit quite right) they charged me an extra $90 for their mistake in not taking it in at the right seam the first time. When I tried to argue that I should not have to pay for their mistake, Dari walked into the back ignoring me and a seamstress said there was nothing she could do. I will never go back - they were unapologetic and rude and way overpriced!!!

This is the first time I have ever taken time to write a negative review but I felt strongly that this experience should be noted.

I was extremely disappointed in the customer service provided at Dari's. On recommendation of the shop where I bought my wedding dress I took it to Dari's to be altered.

At the first fitting the dress was pinned and I was given a date 10 days from when I dropped the dress to return. I was scheduled to have two separate fittings - one after waist line and shoulder straps were adjusted and then a second for a hem. I returned the day of my first fitting and the dress had not been touched. They were extremely apologetic and embarassed and asked me to return the following week. As I was four weeks out from my wedding at this time I indicated this was not an issue. I appreciated their apology and that things happen so re-scheduled for the end following week as I would be out of town until then. I returned the following week and was handed my dress to try on. The dress had not been touched. There was barely a reaction from Dari who actually handed me the dress to try on with the pins in it. When I noted that it had again not been altered all he said was I am sorry.

Had this been something other than my wedding dress this would probably not have been an issue for me however, he did not offer to have it done immediately or guarantee that they could make the adjustments at all. He did not do anything except apologize so I indicated I would take it elsewhere. I am now two and a half weeks from my wedding and am working to find a tailor / seamstress who can quickly make the alterations.
