Shogun Restaurant

Fantastic little joint. Very small, but feels like you stepped out of big old denver and into a little corner of Asia. The portions are fantastically large, prices right on the spot, and the quality is great! I go there every week and have never been disappointed.

We ordered a 32 piece tray of sushi here for take out dinner, and were sick by the next morning! Terrible stomach cramps, headache, chills, vomiting, and the big 'D'. I I called to let them know what happened, and "Kim" said that she would call Seattle Seafood where they order the fish from and see what they said. She called me back to say that I should have gone to the emergency room if I was that sick. Ummmmm, NO! I did not need to go to the emergency room. I explained that she needs to take responsibility for their part in preparing the sushi in an unsanitary environment. I am sure the fish was fresh and met certain standards when it was sent to them, but it is when they did not take proper care of the fish that caused us to get sick. I asked to be reimbursed, that of course did not happen. So all I can do is spread the word of my BAD EXPERIENCE! I guess that is the chance you take with raw fish, but I have eaten plenty of sushi and have never gotten sick until visiting Shogun. I will never go back!

We love to eat here and order out. They have a great sushi platter that is at a reasonable price. The service is great and the owners take pride in what they make. They have a cute Sushi bar that you can eat at. It is such a quaint little restaurant. I would recomend it for a romantic, fun dinner!!
