I once met George Clinton there. The store was empty, but there was a line around the block, waiting to see him play at the Ogden. Crazy scene.
Gotta love the "get out of hell free" card, which gives you back like 10% on every purchase. totally huge if you're any kind of a thirsty ear, because, yes, they have 98 cent, and 2 dollar CD's, as well as a really deep rock and "soul" collection, as well as some nice new LP's. Throw in a head shop and a killer music venue next door and, well, there ya go.

For the price of music and videos now a days this is the place to go. They have everything you can think of there and for a good price, better than you would get at target of wal mart.

went here for the first time a year ago before a show at the fillmore - it's been a second home ever since! a great selection to browse for hours, plus the best prices on used cd's.

New Years day was pretty slow and my husband and brother in law found out this independent record store was open and disappeared for hours perusing their 98 cent (yes you read that right) cd racks. They came home with good selections and had a ton of fun! This is on a sketchy part of Colfax Blvd which makes it even more fun. They still sell vinyl too ... a bonus in my book.

Just trying to save musicians a trip. This is listed as selling musical instruments, but it's a CD store. It's also called "Independent." If a chain with only 7 locations counts, I guess they are. You're more likely to find a bong than a gong. It's pretty much like all the other CD stores in Denver. Huge inventory. Mediocre service. Run-of-the-mill selection. Cons: I didn't see any parking.
