We have been going to Farmer's Inn for over 30 years, and it is the best Mexican we can find anywhere! They have the most flavorful green chili with wonderful strips of green chilies in it. And I believe the flavor comes from the chilis and not a bunch of spices thrown into a pot.
Our favorite is a smothered burrito. Wow
We used to live in Greeley and went often. Now we live in Estes Park but we travel of La Salle for the green chilli when we can. D & J

Lunch-time at the Famer's Inn means large protions of good food at very special prices. They have two specials for lunch every weekday at only $4.99 (as of mid June 2007.) That price includes a drink, which can be a soda, beer, iced tea, or even a mini margarita. They serve tortilla chips and two different salsas (one a little hotter than the other) with lunch. The servers, most of whom have been there for several years) are very friendly, and professional.
The only complaint I have is their unwillingness to split checks. They will give separate subtotals, though. It just makes it a little tough if you're in a group and not everyone pays the same way.
I have eaten dinner there quite a few times, too. In fact, my wife and I often drive over from Longmont for dinner or meet friends there

For those of you worried about making the drive to LaSalle... Don't be. It's only 13 minutes from The center of Greeley and well worth the drive. I have chosen to spend several of my birthday dinners here (discounted food for the birthday boy). It's not exactly authentic Mexican food, but is a great example of what real Colorado Mexican can be.

There's a seperate bar area but don't forget your DD, it's on the highway.

Getting there for the first time can be tricky... take the phone number or a map. Fromm Greeley/Evans on HWY85, it's on the left side and tucked behind the main strip of buildings. If you pass Subway, you've gone too far.

Pros: Value, Flavor

Cons: Can get busy on weekends

One of the best Mexican food restaurants in the Greeley area. There food is very inexpensive, you get a lot, and it tastes great. The service is perfect and fast. I have been eating there for at least 10 years and would highly recommend it to anyone. Try the big round burrito, its one of the best items on the menu and have you leaving there stuffed!

I have been a patron at this resturant since I was a little girl. Their food is excellent and is a local secret. They charge a decent price for their food (drink and lunch for about $6.00) and you get a TON of food, and you can't forget their free chips and salsa.

They recently redid the inside to make it nicer looking and it paid off. Services is generally fast, unless they are really really busy. Avoid Friday's and Saturdays in the evening if you hate a wait. Tuesdays are Marg nights and their Margs are excellent.

Highly recommend this resturant if you want good Mexican Food for a small price (much better than chain mexican food resturants).

PROS: Great Food, Hometown Atmosphere, Low Prices
CONS: None

Family owned and operated for many years this resturant offers low prices and a large amount of food. Mexican food that is not overly spicey. Location is to far away from other events. They do offer a small assortment of NON-mexican based foods. They have both a formal dining area and a bar area. Great drinks.

PROS: Great food for a low price
CONS: Location is the only minus here, not directly in the Greeley Area

I think this is a really good place to eat. The food is good, and the staff is always friendly. Very inexpensive, and not to far from Greeley. I think if you havent tried it, you might want to consider it :)

Message from Farmers Inn

Farmer's Inn in LaSalle has been family owned and operated by Cecil Vigil and his family for over 20 years. They've been serving delicious and notorious Green Chili along with their bewitching Margaritas.Thursday night is margarita night... we do take out or you can come in and enjoy the slower pace in downtown LaSalle. Ask about our daily lunch specials and don't forget to schedule your next banquet at Farmer's Inn.We are closed on Sundays so we can watch Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos win their way to the Super Bowl.
