this is for Anthony's at Clinton so of Arapahoe. \nUsed to be my favorite pizza in Denver. However..... Ordered home delivery about two months ago, pizza arrived with way too much green pepper and it was more or less dumped on one side, crust was doughy - and it was cold. This for over $20.00! \nEvery one makes a mistake, so hoped that was all it was and wrote it off.\nOrdered a small pepperoni pizza a few weeks ago for $20 plus. (no coupon) Arrived cold, doughy and about three slices of pepperoni. I am so disappointed! Used to love their pizza, but no more.

In 2007 and 2008 they had the best pizza in Denver, in my opinion. I went there today and was disgusted. The pizza was extremely greasy and the quality of the cheese and toppings were poor. Totino's offers a better pizza product.

Usually don't care for pizza chains, so today was the first time I tried Anthony's....LOVED the pizza! Got the thin crust w/ my own toppings - meatball, tomato and mushrooms and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Esp loved the fresh tomatoes and really crispy crust. Will definitely be back! Went to the Stapleton restaurant & am looking for others near home.

I can't speak for other stores but Downtown we pack house for 3 hours straight 11-2... lunch rush is crazy but we do our best while sweating over a 650 degree oven to bring you Denver's best Pizza. I wouldn't have worked there for over 10 years if I didn't love the smiles we put on our customers faces when they come in for their fix once, twice, three, sometimes five times a week. I may not know everyones name but I do know what they want when they walk through the door... We do our best to keep up with the volume of work but sometimes we don't have a chance to even clean up til after the rush dies down...sorry guys. I have eaten at Abos and Famous and I still say we take it. If your complaining about the customer service your probably the guy who relentlessly tried to take other peoples slices and finally got yelled at! Thx for the love Denver.

Pros: Fast, Cheap, great pizza!

Cons: Cranky pizza girls like me!

I do not understand the hype? This is by far the worst franchise in town. Why does it get such high marks? Do not waist your money here. The place is a mess, the food is not that good and service is a joke. Denver is this the best pizza you can offer?

I hate calling Anthony's. They make me feel like they are doing me favor by taking my pizza order! Always rude on the phone.\r\n\r\nI would never order from here again, if it wasn't for my boss, who loves their pizza...I don't get it.

A 9.4 are you kidding? This pie is truly overrated. I have tried the food at their numerous locations. It?s all the same. The service is to the point of being disrespectful and I will never return. Why does the Denver area love this FRANCHISE?

This pizza is highly overrated. The downtown location is OK, but still sub-par. The pizza over-greasy and the quality of the cheese was poor. I then gave them another chance. \r\n\r\nOne day I tried the franchise on South Federal Boulevard. The food was horrible, the service was to the point of disrespectful and the store was dirty. I believe Denver residences need to reevaluate there choice for the best pizza in their town. \r\n

A New Yorker could come to Denver, make pizza using the exact same ingredients and the exact same methods, and you'd still have snobs complaining it ""just ain't da same."" Well, I'm not from New York, but have been there before and tried their pizza, at a spot recommended by a New Yorker, born and bred. The difference between Anthony's and that place? Not much. They both offered NY pizza, which means an unimaginative pie consisting of some cheese and too-sweet sauce spread over a glorified tortilla of a crust, so thin that you have to eat it like a paper airplane. If you want good NY-style pizza that any honest person would say tastes like the ""real"" thing, Anthony's is the way to go, but if you want good pizza in general, find a Chicago-style pie.

wow the pizza was HUGE and the cheese was cheesey!!!! i live in texas and there are a lot of ""wannabe"" pizza spots, but nothing like this! the service was fast and straight forward but the food makes up for the lack of super kindness and amount of sitting space. i highly recomend this joint for anyone in the neighborhood looking for a good slice with the feel of the bronx, NY. Oh! and they make the pizza right infront of you! good small show! hope i was some help!!!!

I've had Anthony's pizza before and it is good but I went to NY for the first time last April (2005) and had real NY pizza for the first time. I must say it's nothing like (and better than) any pizza I've tried in Denver but Anthony's is the closest for CO.

While visiting from NY, I tried Anthon's due to its high rating. It was all wrong. This pizza my taste like NY pizza, but not good NY pizza. This is not at all a representation of real NY pizza. Anyone that rates this high has never had NY pizza or has been away so long that they forgot what good NY pizza really is. The sicilian was premade from a factory, not the way it is truly made and the sauce taste like pasta sauce, not pizza sauce. Pizza sauce is sweet not filled with spices to the point of covering up the tomato flavor. Not highly approving of this pizza.

So OK I haven't tried them all but it's the best I've found in CO... \n\nThat's not saying much. If you compare it to true NY pizza, it's a 3 on a good day. But if a round trip ticket to NY for a pie is to pricey, consider it a 10 for CO.\n

Talk about great pizza - yes real fold the slice in two kind of pizza. The Kind of pizza that leaves flour on your clothes from the dusting. Crisp crust with ozzingly good cheese. You don't have to add anything to the pizza, just cheese is awesome. As for atmosphere who cares when pies taste this good and cost less then chain delivery. I eat often at the DU location on Evans and there is seldom a seat to be found - kidds play pool and the adults have great conversation. The best!

Anthony's pizza is one of the best pizza joints in town. Only go if you are hungry. When you order a large, it is unlike any other large in town. It is oozing with tons of cheeese and sauce. Anthony's Pizza is decent. Being a native Manhattanite, I was tempted to stop by seeing the NY style pizza sign. My pizza was okay, better than anything you'll get in Indiana but a total flop in NY or NJ. My pizza was a lot greasier than anticipated, so nasty that it soaked threw two plates and a napkin. After sopping up a good pecentage of the grease the flavor was pretty decent. The Cicilian slice was a bit better than the Neapolitan. It was huge and the sauce had a distinct flavor that was tasty. Overall I'd give Benny's a 5. It may be the best pizza west of Youngstown, OH.

As an East Coaster, Anthony's has the best New York style in town. Perfect cheese/sauce ratio. Crust is thin, a bit chewy, a bit crunchy--perfect! They also keep a healthy supply of garlic powder, oregano, red pepper flakes- things us east coasters feel are essential. Being able to buy by the slice is also key. The only problem is there isn't an Anthony's near Applewood!

Anthony's is, without a doubt, the very best New York-style pizza place in town. It's great by the slice, and they'll also make you a whole, full-sized pie. You can also get calzones, some types of pasta, or a meatball sub, but pizza is king. \n\nI personally really like the atmosphere, but others may find it excessively grungy and run-down.
