A top 5 restaurant in aspen for sure! The food is always great. The bar has supurb deals on food and beer. The pizza's always look and taste great. The staff is friendly and are pro's. The style of food is simple with great, fresh indgrediants. You can't go wrong here.

Best dish, tie between the ahi with shrimp sausage and salmon with grilled veggies

4.5/5 stars; there is always room for improvment but not much!

Located at the base of Aspen Mountain, this restaurant has a fantastic environment, with low lighting and italian decor. My personal favorite, the lobster ravioli, is just one example of a delicious italian sophisticated dish served at mezzaluna.

We usually have lunch at Mezzaluna since I love both their chinese chicken salad and their Mediterranean salad so much, but tonight we decided to have dinner there following a concert. At 8:15 the inside was half empty (outside was full) but within 15 more minutes the place was packed.

My husband ordered a curried chicken with flatbread & basmati rice. He enjoyed it very much but wasn't able to finish it as the portion simply was too big. It was neither too sweet nor too spicy, but just right. This presented no problem though. They simply packed up the remainder of the entree and we brought it back to the condo.

I had one of their individual pizzas, something they're known for & for which they have a wood-burning oven. Mine was of pesto, chopped roma tomatoes & pine nuts. The crust was crispy & tasted like toasted bread dough. Actually, they use the same recipe as they do for their home-made bread and just don't let it rise as much.

Mezzaluna is one of those favorites with locals & visitors alike, & deservedly so.

One of the least pretentious places to eat in Aspen! Great bar menu, inexpensive by Aspen standards. The popcorn shrimp and vegetable pizza are some of the finest "bar snacks" you'll ever find. Watch your pizza cook in their brick oven, visit with friends, or chat up the staff for local's insiders tips.

Began with the cardboard chicken spring roll appetizers. The pizza was fairly good. The thin crust was well cooked. Just could have used a little more flavor. The special pasta of salmon in a garlic cream sauce was flavorless, bland, boring; maybe ate a 1/4 of it. The service was definitely lacking, considering the restaurant wasn't even 30% full. All the tables around us were left completely unbussed for the nearly the entire time we were there. A real class act.

You can't go wrong with Mezzaluna. We had a wonderful dinner there. Two of our group liked it so much they went back for lunch. Fresh tasting ingredients in all the dishes. Delicious bruschetta and pastas. One in our group raved over the tenderloin with gorgonzola. The wine list could use some additions. I noticed the bar was very popular for people waiting (hoping) to get a table, and the drinks are well made. We had reservations on a Monday night and were seated promptly, but the place was packed and walk-ins didn't have a chance. Plan ahead and make reservation.
