Buying an engagement ring can be a very stressful experience. After talking to my friends who have gone through the process, I was a bit hesitant to even start looking. Like many others my age, I went straight to google for some advice on the manner. I typed in "best jeweler in Denver" and the # 1 hit was Laurent Diamonds on city search. After reading a few reviews, I thought I would start there. Shortly after arriving at Lauren Diamonds I realized that the google search could not have been more accurate.
I expected, from my friends influence, that I would be pressured into buying right from when I entered the store OR that I would not get good service because of how young I appear. Neither of these preconceived notions could have been more wrong. The first thing that was said to me as I started to look at diamonds is that I was not expected to buy for some time and that it could take weeks to figure this all out. I was also told that they would like to keep me below my preestablished price range. They stayed true to all of their promises and I never felt nervous about any part of the process.

It ended up taking me about 5-6 weeks to purchase the ring. I am very happy with the help I received and I the ring is perfect.
The only thing that shines more than the diamond, is my review of Lauren Diamonds. Thanks for making this a stress free process.

I never felt pressured...I explained what she wanted, I explained my budget concerns, and I explained what I would like to get, and they made it happen. They brought in rings specifically for me to see and the same with the diamonds...I sat there for hours learning about diamonds and they were super patient. No hassles, no pressure, no hurrying. They told me to take my time, leave my checkbook at home until I was confident in my decisions. They also were much more affordable than other jewelers...low overhead Gary (the owner) explaines. I felt like I MATTERED, here is the owner sitting with me for hours on end so I would be comfortable...AWESOME. They even stayed late one Friday night and then hand delivered it to my office so I could have it sooner than later (Gary again). GO HERE they are AWESOME and I THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Really happy we went here. Read the reviews and we swung by and felt very comfortable and confident in Gary and his staff. They LISTENED to what WE wanted, not twhat they wanted to sell. We saved a boatload of money so we are upgrading our honeymoon....Thanks Lauren Diamonds.

I shopped around, went to Cherry Creek, (way too much money), went to the mall, (ne personal service, kinda rude) went to "designers" (way too expensive and uppity attitude) then went to Lauren Diamonds...(awesome). The showroom was fun, not stuffy. The staff, helen and gary were easy going, no pressure, (told me to leave my checkbook at home), extremely informative, we spent 2 hours there with our questions, and affordable. Gary explained that they dont have a lot of overhaead, so they dont have to charge as much as others...made sense. Helen knew what we wanted and they found it al in a matter of a few days. We bought all our rings there, our diamond and we think we probably saved 1800.00 or so. IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET, GO HERE, JUST LOOK, IT WILL BE WORTH YOUR WHILE. And free beer!!!

From the moment you walk in the door Helen and Gary make you feel at home. The glass of Johnny Black didn't hurt either. As alot of the other reviews say there is absolutely no pressure to buy. One of the first things out of Gary's mouth was that he wanted to make sure I knew that you didn't need to get a diamond to get engaged. I thought, what a fantastic idea but I was pretty sure my fiance wouldn't agree. From that point on though, we looked at multiple stones and multiple settings. Many of these I had pulled from other jewelers websites. He was able to get me exactly what I was looking for and at a great price. I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone there and I haven't. One of my friends as I write this is down looking at an anniversary ring for his wife.

I think the only possible thing I could thing of that was negative about my experience was the lack of ice for my scotch. But Gary told me he was working on this. Now that is what I call service.

Lauren Diamonds was the seconds jeweler I went to and it was night and day. Gary (the owner) took plenty of time to sit down with me and walk me through the entire process and never made me feel stupid. Helen (my salesperson) was awesome as well. I came in with a time frame and he said that would be no problem, I had a budget and that was no problem, I had specific ideas and that was no problem. I needed to come in on a Saturday and they stuck around after closing since I was stuck in the mountains. Who else would do that?

I came out with a much better diamond than I thought possible and all of my fiance's friends are jealous and some of her guy friends made comments about how I am ruining it for them. My advice, go see Gary. I never felt pressured to buy anything and it was always pleasant in the shop. The Coors light didn't hurt either. We will be going back for our wedding bands.

We shopped, and shopped, and stopped by Lauren's and was amazed at 1) how low key, but professional they were, 2) how informative...they sat with us for over an hour, we had beers ( i had wine) and they explained everything to us, showed us books, articles, and anything we ever wanted to know about diamonds. ( Gary says the more you know the better you can make a decision) how true. 3) and Price. We did not buy anything on our first visit, but they said tell us what you want and we will find it, we left some info and some pictures of rings I liked. They called a few days later, we went in and it was exactly what we were looking for, in our budget, and could be ready when we wanted. We think we saved almost $2200.00 for the exact same thing, EXACTLY THE SAME. We highly recommend this store, they are nice, well priced, great quality and we just love them... so THANK YOU SO MUCH

When we decided to create our own unique wedding set (engagement and interlocking wedding bands) Lauren Diamonds was wonderful. They sent us to a CAD designer who took a lot of time to sit with us and design EXACTLY what we wanted. Then Lauren Diamonds created the perfect set for us. The bride loves it and shows it off as often as she can. The groom shows it off often too!
Helen also went out of her way to help the bride find the perfect wedding day jewelry. In a display case was a pair of earrings the bride fell in love with, and Helen called the maker. He worked with Helen to create a matching necklace, using stones that were sentimental to the bride and groom. The bride received SO many compliments on it on her wedding day.
Thank you for so much hard work and for making us feel like we were the most important people you were working with. We are so pleased and have recommended to many friends to come to Lauren Diamonds; and will recommend many more!

Before looking for an engagement ring, I had spoke to many of my friends who had gone through the process and heard mostly horror stories of their difficulties in finding a jewlery store that they were comfortable with. That is until I spoke to a co-worker who said, "Go to Gary at Lauren Diamonds. That's the ONLY place to go. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else. That is THE place." After hearing my co worker's glowing remarks about Gary and his staff and looking at some of the reviews here, I decided to make it my first stop- and I didn't need to look any further. From the minute that I walked in, I was treated with great care and respect. Helen probably saw how anxious and nervous that I was, but she settled me down and made it such an easy and even, dare I say, pleasurable process. She listened to what I was looking for and found me the right diamond, as well as putting it in the setting that my girlfriend wanted. I'm not one who would usually write a review, but when I receive amazing service I like to share it with people. I train people in providing excellent customer service, and I am very particular in the places that I will spend my money. Unfortunately, we live In a day and age where most businesses lack great service and value, however, it is definitely not missing here. Lauren Diamonds exceeded my high expectations. Wanted to drop a little note recommending Gary and Lauren Diamonds to anyone shopping for an engagement ring. I was a complete novice at the whole experience and Gary "held my hand" through the process to the point of offering to go to other jewlers with me if I found a better deal. We looked at at least 20 diamonds before selecting the perfect stone. Gary was extremely flexible with his hours and his time to help me get my ring in the timeframe I needed it. My fiance loves it and gets tons of comments about how beautiful and unique her setting is.

Gary was very helpful on diamond "education", our first visit lasting 2 hours with very helpful diamond information. (he will also give the pros and cons of every choice of metal for the band) He will find or make the ring you are looking for and will order any requested diamonds. No diamonds were set without my own viewing and approval with the option to have Gary keep ordering more until I found exactly what I was looking for and within price range. Price is much lower than high end jewelers for just as nice or nicer rings! Thanks Gary, JB & JB. (one day you'll realize the Yankees are the way to go)

I looked everywhere for my bands, I asked around and several people said, "GO TO GARY"...I wish I started there to begin with. I was concerned at first because the prices I was being quoted were considerably lower, and you get what you pay for...but the quality was excellent, so I bought from LAUREN DIAMONDS and saved enough to pay for most of our honeymoon...I did have to wait 4 days to finalize my purchase, as Gary orders the products directly from the manufacturer, but he only charged me 10 % over cost, It was way worth it. Also, I got great seats to the Avalanche as a Thank You, ITS YOU I SHOULD THANK...So I wrote this, GREAT JOB...WE WILL BE BACK AND WE WILL TELL OUR FRIENDS

This review is long overdue as Gary and I worked together on my wife's anniversary ring for three months last Fall. I originally called and made an appointment with Gary, telling him I wanted to create something nice but am quite inexperienced with diamonds. We sat together for 4-5 sessions, talking rings, diamonds, sapphires and baseball, not always in that order. He's a Red Sox fan but I over-looked that. I told him my budget and he cut that by more than half! Downselling a jewelry client? Well, after we came up with something we kind of liked, we sat back and mulled it over, than started again because after the education he gave me, I was able to get a better vision. Told him what version 2.0 was, which he really liked and then met with the person doing the work. He made one suggestion that would help me for the long term of the ring and we created it. My wife's 10th anniversary ring was a success, I looked like I actually knew something about jewelry and Gary threw in dinner for us! Saw the disgruntled customer experiences on Citysearch and you probably get that in all business but all I know is, I am happy, my wife loves her new ring and when I am ready to upgrade (jewelry, not wives!), I'll be back in the shop, sipping a cold one with Gary, creating a little more magic.

If you are just picking jewelry out of a case or ordering it out of a book, this place is probably fine. But if you want custom jewelry made, stay far away! We originally went in to see Gary in August of 07. We showed him pictures of rings we like and came up with the design of the ring. He said it would be 3-6 weeks for the wax to be made, then we would approve it and the ring would be cast. He said he would call us and keep us informed, never did. We called and called and went in to see him numerous times. He kept saying he was working on it. We eventually even picked out the diamonds without seeing the wax. Once again he said he would call. We waited and waited, finally we called him, and he acted like it was our fault for not being in touch. This was about five months after we first went in, still no wax. Eventually we called and said we were getting impatient and he said ok I will have the ring finished for you next week, and he would call. He never called and so we decided we were done and would be taking our business elsewhere.

Beware because Gary really puts on an act and tries to be your best friend when you come in for the first time. Then he seems to fall off the face of the earth.

Lauren Diamonds is the place to go in Denver. We went to another jeweler in Denver and they laughed us off, they were not interested in what we were looking for, nor our price range. Then I called a jeweler from Minnesota that my parents trusted and always used. They strongly recommended Gary and Lauren Diamonds. It was the best advice we could have been given. Gary was fantastic, he really listened to what we were looking for and helped us to find the absolutely perfect ring. Lauren Diamonds made very little on our purchase, but they treated us like we were buying a 50,000 dollar, 8 carat ring. But best of all, there was NO pressure for us to buy, upgrade, or add to it. Buying an engagement ring should be a meaningful and special experiance and Gary made it just that. Moreover, we picked it up today and it is absolutely gorgeous. More beautiful than I ever imagined it would be.

If you are looking for beautiful quality jewelry, great prices along with exceptional service, Lauren Diamonds, Ltd. is a must!! Located in downtown Denver, easy to find, parking is a breeze. The owner Gary is so personable & helpful. My husband & I live approximately 2-1/2 hours away from Denver. The only day we could make the trip to Denver was on a Sunday afternoon. Gary met us with a smile, offered us a beverage, & spent around 2 hours with us. **I called Gary a few days afterward to ask a couple of questions, he wasn't in--but, his helpful staff transferred me to his cell phone so he could answer my questions. Now where else can you get service like that??!! Our hats are off to you Gary & staff!

My fiance, with Gary's help, picked out the perfect diamond for me-they spent over 2 hours looking in one sitting! My fiance decided to put the diamond on a generic band and have me come and pick it out. Gary was there to help every step of the way-no matter what! He found the perfect band for me and gave me an excellent! deal. He was very flexible and he made sure I had it in time to show my family. He and the rest of the staff are very friendly. Looking for an engagement ring isn't supposed to be an easy thing. However, Gary of Lauren Diamonds made the process painless and yes enjoyable. My GF and I went looking for a ring together as I have no idea about rings and the engagement, after 4 years of dating, obviously wasn't a big surprise. Gary greeted us warmly and gave my GF and I some cold Coors Light to drink while he finished up with another customer. While waiting we checked out his awesome collection of memorabilia and looked at some books with rings. Gary is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. You don't feel like he is trying to sell you something. In fact you feel like he is helping you make the best decision for yourself. The prices are amazing due to the fact that this is an inconspicuous location in a high rise building downtown. What he saves on rent (Don't get me wrong the building is very nice) he passes on to his customers. I had him mount an inherited stone in a Ring that my GF picked right out of his case. He gave us an amazing deal even after I revealed to him that I was a Yankees fan. After mentioning this Gary went in the back room and came out in a Vintage Red Sox Hat and Jersey. Gary and I talked sports, music, and beer in addition to talking rings. The process that I was so worried about turned out to be a great time.

Once the ring was ordered Gary did an excellent job getting it to me very quickly. It looks great. I plan on going back to Gary for our wedding rings because everything about the Engagement ring process went flawlessly.

So guys don't be afraid to start looking for rings. At worst you'll get a few free beers and an excellent experience. More then likely you'll get an amazing deal and great memories as well.

I recently proposed to my girlfriend of three and a half years. I searched on my own and thought I was doing great. I also called many stores with particular thoughts in mind. When I called Lauren Diamonds, I got intouch with the owner, Gary. One of the first things Gary said to me was, I wil do whatever it takes to get your business, and to keep it for life. I also want your familys' business, and your friends business. From then on, I thought there had better be some extraordinary customer service from this company. I am telling you that my expectations were not only met, but also exceded. What I was looking for was one of a kind, with my own personal touch. Gary helped me achieve that through whatever means necessary. From shipping multiple stones so that I may view them, all the way through the final product, and a personal call just to make sure everything went as planned and if my now fiancee was pleased. Some of the benifits are a credit line at 0.0%apr for one year, insurance, and the piece of mind knowing that he personally stands behind all work preformed. In my opinion, Tom Shayne, Jarred, Zales, or even Bailey, Bankes and Biddle cant offer me anything even close to comparison to what Lauren Diamonds has and will in the future. I am proud to say me my family and any referral I can give will always go to Lauren Diamonds. We are lifetime customers.

Valentine?s Day 2007, I was shopping for a gift. The next day it broke. When I took it back to Gary, he said he would give me in-store credit. I gave him a 2nd chance & decided I would buy her an engagement ring, had been planning. Picked out a ring & ordered it & I was happy that Gary said he would guarantee his product. 6 months later it broke & he refused to honor his guarantee. I opted not to work with him and we decided to use another jeweler. We brought the ring to his store and requested a full refund . October, 2007. (10-4-07) my fiance talked to him & he proceeded to yell at her about how dishonest she must be & that we must have done something to break it. A fool knows a brides? engagement ring is not something she continuously exposes to acid or chlorine, which is Gary?s accusation of her. This is not only rude and inappropriate, but unprofessional. 4 months later, the ring is still in his possession. He claims it's repairable, however other jewelers specifically told us it's NOT. (1-24-08), talked with him again. He got angry & told me he would win any court battles, due to his ?numerous? attempts at solving the issue & also that ?No one cares about your ring?. I think many brides care. (1-25-08) Talked again and he told me "no promises", he told me he would call me-never did. Gary will debate my story, saying he has offered in store credit for the ring and that it was in good condition when he sold it. After this and the original piece have broken, he has proven to be untrustworthy & I have no desire to work with him. If Gary tells you something, I would caution you to not believe a word he has to say about what he offers you & his policy on returns. Gary has proven to be a dishonest, unreliable, unprofessional, pathological liar with no moral compunction against thievery. He will follow through with very few of his promises and is not qualified to offer a product he refuses to guarantee. If you would like this story with details post & I will send it.

What an amazing shop! Lauren Diamonds has given us great service and beautiful jewelry over the last few years, and when my finacee purchased my engagement ring, Gary really went out of his way to WOW me. Now we're shopping for wedding bands, wedding-day jewelry, and bridesmaids gifts and as usual, we're finding high quality items at great prices. Gary has a a theory that it's worth every bit of his time and effort to give exceptional customer service and low prices because he plans to make life-long customers out of us. It worked! We don't shop anywhere else! :O)

My experience with Lauren Diamonds was simply superior to the competition. For the last couple of months, I've checked out several other stores beginning my search for the perfect engagement ring and with this being my first time looking into this type of purchase, I wanted an education among other things. Gary did an outstanding job explaining not only his business, but more importantly, the things to look for in a band as well as a stone. And with the ideas from my girlfriend already in my head, Lauren Diamonds was able to create EXACTLY what I asked for and do it in a timely matter. Atmosphere was relaxed, no high pressure sales tactics... these folks really know how to support a customer. There's no doubt in my mind that I will be back!

My Husband actually picked out a new wedding set for our anniversary and I was completely blown away. At first I was a little upset because by the looks of this ring it was not something that would fit into our budget in any way, shape or form, however, I fell in love with it and decided not to discuss what he spent.

Well, I pay the bills, so when I ran across the receipt I could not believe such a magnificent diamond could be so affordable. (Don't tell anyone...People think I am rich now!). To give you an idea, my ring has appraised for more than twice what I spent. I am not one to take time for reviews, but my husband said the service was excellent and the process was effortless so Lauren Diamonds is worth writing about. Gary Casey (owner of Lauren Diamonds) was an integral part in helping my fiance pick out my engagement ring. At every visit even before the ring was purchased, he was gracious, enthusiastic, and incredibly helpful. Six months later we returned to choose our wedding bands, and again Gary went above and beyond to give us the best price on the rings we had our hearts set on. Unbelievable savings even on our budget! We'll be faithful customers for every anniversary, holiday, and every other jewelry occasion. I worked with Lauren Diamonds on consigning my old rings. They were wonderful! Gary the owner mailed out 1 ring to Austin TX for me and handled all the shipping details. I was in a pinch for my own ceremony and they made sure I had a ring that very day for my ceremony. I have never seen such wonderful customer service these days. I will use Lauren Diamond for every jewelry need. Their inventory and service are second to none!

Lauren Diamonds was the best experience I could have hoped for. Gary was not only helpful, but informative and understanding. He listened to all my needs(actually my fiancees), and found us the best ring at my budget. I never felt pressured, except from my family, of course, and the whole experience was painless. I went to all the different stores, and saw all the options and scary sales techniques, and finally ended up at Lauren Diamonds. I could have saved gas money, time, and a few headaches had I just went to Gary first. Most importantly, my fiancee is extremely happy with my choice, and is proud to say that she has the best ring of not only our friends, but of her oil and gas colleagues, that make the big bucks. We heard that Lauren Diamonds gave a 2% cash referalls, so we checked them out, while talking with them (they are really nice and casual , we felt no pressure whatsoever), we found out that they also donate 5% of the sale to a charity of my choice, we thought that was cool. We did take our time and shopped around, but ended up buying from Lauren Diamonds (Gary Casey was the manager) and we figure we saved about 1300.00 from the next lowest store. ALSO, the store is fun to go to because it is covered with autograhed albums and photos from everyone and they served my wife champagne and I got a Heinekin...good job LD. A++

My friend told me about Lauren Diamonds, so I decided to check them out! The selection they have is wonderful, and the staff was helpful, (not pushy like some jewelry stores). I didn't feel like the staff was trying to get me to purchase something just to make a sale!! Compared to the other Denver area jewelers, we found the quality higher and the prices much lower. We compared and did our homework. We felt extremely comfortable in the store and the staff was very helpful. Gary really believes in customer service. He went out of his way to make sure we got more than we expected for our money. we had a difficult time getting a diamond in our budget, and the staff at Lauren Diamonds went out of their way to get us our stone. They called many other jewelers in other states and a great deal on a diamond, then they custom built our bands for less than they cost at the mall stores, we have custom built, one of a kind bands and saved about 2700.00 dollars. A+++, thank you gary casey and staff

We went to 3 or 4 stores for our rings, and the totals were close to 5700.00 for both of us. We got the exact same rings at LAUREN DIAMONDS for 2300.00. I couldn't believe it. I am so happy we found them, it payed for our honeymoon.
