A great selection of music on display. All kinds of t-shirts, keychains, incense, and more. It's got anything you're looking for.

Anyone that's been to Amoeba in L.A. or San Fran knows what I'm talking about. There's really nothing to compare. The way the music just spreads out before you to the horizon, offering a neverending landscape of possibilities. Well, Twist and Shout compares. A little less expansive, yet pithy-er in its modesty. (Anyone remember the Pearl St. days, with the Discs behind the counter? That was modest!) The DVDs around the walls really kind of make it, along with the fabulous vinyl selection, the separate dance/dj room, and the reconditioned, vintage audiophile gear also available.
This place has been a bastion of the Denver music scene for years, and it's really inspiring to see them in their new Colfax location, alongside the Tattered Cover. If the weekend crowds are too much, though, by all means go long, to the place that is ebony and crimson....

Twist and Shout is a fantastic local record store that has a great selection and a very knowledgeable staff. The store is always clean and organized, which makes finding the CD you are looking for much easier! They have a good selection of vinyl and have recently expanded the shop. I would highly recommend this independent record store to anyone, especially if you are looking to support the local guys!
