.

I rented here for about nine months, and left due to adopting a new puppy and wanting to give him a home (with a yard, no elevators, etc.)

My living space WAS lovely (I lived on the west-facing side of the building so the floor-to-ceiling windows on that side had gorgeous, very well-lit views, I had a large living room, and a large master bedroom), I'm afraid that Patrick, the manager of Americana Condominiums, made it absolutely uncomfortable to live there. Even now, after I've moved out, he still unfairly references me in monthly newsletters without my knowledge or consent.

It all started when I adopted my dog, who neither I nor the Dumb Friends League knew had separation anxiety and liked to bark when left alone. When I came home from work after that first day, I had a note on my door threatening to fine me, the woman who I was renting from (who owns the condo), and to call animal control to have my dog "removed." Patrick said it was my "final warning" before those actions were to be taken. When I called to apologize (being as I had no idea he barked) and ask if I could recieve a FIRST warning before a final one, he told the woman I was renting from that I was mean and proceeded to never call me -- about anything -- again.

I tried crating the dog, using sound therapy, and a citronella collar, all to no avail. I wrote letters and gave my contact number to my neighbors to let me know if my dog acted up. My wonderful neighbors helped me out and called me if they heard anything (which only occurred on one more ocassion). Patrick, however, failed to tell me anything.

Now I've been informed -- by one of those wonderful, former neighbors -- that when she called and complained on that initial day, he took one of her quotes out of context and published it in the monthly newsletter (not to mention he published it the month AFTER he knew I moved out). She apologized profusely for contributing to the story. Patrick has not.

Do not move here if you would like to live your life without worrying what the manager is saying and/or doing behind your back. There should be a certain maturity level when one manages a 9-story condominium building. Unfortunately, Patrick lacks this maturity level.

Pros: Nice square footage, nice mountain views/patio

Cons: Manager is rude and immature
