So I've never been to this place. I'm looking for somewhere special for my best friend and I to get pedicures before her wedding. I'm reading all these reviews and I'm sorry but these people are writing their own reviews. If you notice on almost all the uber-good 5 star reviews there are very similar grammatical errors. Granted, we all have typos here and there, these just seem obvious to me. Maybe some people got lucky and really did have good experiences here, but I'm skeptical. The 5 star ones sound like commercials or something they'd put on an ad. I'm not buying it and I'll never go to this place as long as I live. Good luck.

I recently went to Rain Spa to see Kelly for my first Brazilian. I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought. Nothing like what you see in the movies. She was very comforting and wanted to make sure I was doing alright. It was nice to know that she was so concerned. We talked the entire time and she really made the time fly. Kelly uses a special hard wax which makes the "pain" so much better. She also followed up with at-home care instructions. I am so thankful that I found Rain Spa. I am surprised with all of the negative review, I really enjoyed myself. They even have free parking in the back!!

Of all the spas that cherry creek has to offer, don't choose this one. The owner performs services she's not licensed for. She's crass, opinionated and completely unprofessional. How she stays in business is a wonder. There's another spa 1/2 block away.

I actually went to this place about a year ago. I booked a facial, massage and pedicure. I had been having a really tough time at work and was looking forward to a few hours of relaxation. When I first arrived the receptionist and owner were sitting at the front desk. I was right on time. They told me have a seat and they would get me for my facial soon. The only place to sit was on this small sofa behind the small front desk. The owner was looking at news articles on the computer. After about 10 minutes of me sitting there the owner stood up and said that she would be doing my facial and we were ready now. Ooook. I thought that was weird but whatever. The facial was pretty good. However, I had some blemishes and she used this laser thing on me and promised me that it would help out a lot. For the next 3-4 days my face was red and splotchy, and the blemishes didn't look any different. Then I had my massage, which was lovely. I forget the lady's name, but it was really nice. For my pedicure I had the owner again. We were chatting and I told her about my situation at work. She said I was overreacting. I didn't really appreciate getting her opinion on the matter since I didn't really ask for it and HELLO, I'm the client...just agree with me! She did the same plastic bag thing to my feet as one of th other reviewers wrote about. When I got home I found all of the polish to be smeared. I was dissapointed. I thought about calling to have it fixed, but decided I'd rather not have to go back there. I mean, my overall experience was OK...The place is basically an old house and it is kind of dingy. I didn't think it seemed dirty or anything though. I guess go at your own risk. Looks like people's experience's have been 50/50 if they are all REAL reviewss.
Thanks.

This is no ordinary salon. If you are simply looking to get pampered, don't come. Because you will be not pampered but spoiled! Everything form the way you are greeted to at the door, wonderful hospitality, to the wonderful tequinique's that are used to soothe away the most intense stress, expect to be fully relaxed and even rejuvenated! This salon is raising the bar in Colorado. By far and away the best Pedicure I've ever had.

One of the best spas I have ever been to. I mean this place really left me with a scent to remember. Upon entering, I felt extremely welcomed and the staff was really attentive. It's a total relaxation paradise. My aunt, Debra referred me to Rain Spa and I definitely owe her one. I finally found my cup of tea in Denver. This place just has all the right vibes. I really enjoyed myself at this spa; my massage was the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was just so relaxing and cozy. I will definitely return; thank you. The lady that helped me, Nancy was great. I have been to several spas in the area and none compare to the fantastic service I received here. I could feel all of the positive energy flowing after my massage experience. Very professional and much needed relaxation obtained. Absolutely excellent!

Okay so I went into Rainspa for some treatments. I receieved a gift certificate from my kids and was excited to finally have some "Me" time. When I arrived I was impressed with the area only to walk into what looks like a run down old house. They had old heaters heating the room and they were eating up front. NOT PROFESSIONAL at all. I mean it was on the tables they give manacures on... REALLY? The receptionist was very sweet and offered me some tea and then chatted with me for a bit.. but I expected a mamosa or something elegant besides a plastic cup. She seemed a little out of place. She was dressed professional, very pretty, while everyone else wore regular clothes. It just looked tacky. Jeans and tennis shoes?? I went downstairs to recieve my massage. When I saw the rooms I was discussed with how dirty and cramped everything looked. The whole place just looked so cheap and run down. I have to say my massage from Dawn was wonderful very sweet women, but I was so disqusted with the place I just wanted to leave. I decided to finish my services. Facial from Tammy (wonderful lady). I then went to recieve my mani and pedi from Nancy. After chatting for a few minutes I absolutly couldn't stand her. I didn't like the way she spoke to her employees as well as how rude and opinionated she was. She was to busy gossiping about her employees and past clients. Im the client.. have some class please! Sad thing is.. she was the owner!! She smelled like cigerette smoke which Im allergic to and I felt so dirty just sitting where they ate there lunches earlier. When she went to dry my nails, she pulled out a plug in dryer that looks like she puchesed from Walmart. Come on! Your going to charge so much and then cut corners on your service?? My girlfriend booked an appointment and I told her to cancel immediately! So thats why Im posting this. Save your time and money. And if you already went.. shower and scrub really, really hard!

Hmmmm...I have a feeling that Rain Spa writes their own reviews. Based on my experience, these 5 star ratings seem a little over exaggerated...

I visited Rain Spa briefly while visiting for the DNC. My schedule was hectic so I didn't have much time but I was able to get an appointment quickly, my masage therapist was on time and very welcoming. The massage was out of this world, hands down I don't think I've ever had one better. The staff was so down to earth and very eager to make my experience a pleasant one. If I'm ever back in Denver, I'll certainly return to the Rain Spa. It is a gem in the middle of a busy spa district.

I read with some interest the review which appeared in Citysearch on March 8, 2008, posted by ?fargo1234".

I found this interesting because I was a client of Rain Spa on the date in question, March 8, 2008. After reading the review, I wondered if these young women had indeed been at the same place as I. Then I remembered the women coming in and accepting the hospitality offered by Rain Spa, including the various teas, fresh squeezed orange juice, and the pastries. I was there for over an hour enjoying the peace, quiet and tranquility of the facility.

I was first introduced to Rain Spa via a gift certificate I received over three years ago. I have been using the services ever since, have referred several clients and have given gift certificates to others without question or hesitation, and will continue doing so.

The facilities have always been spotless - inside and out. I hope that fargo1234's ruthless and unfounded review gets little notice as it is deserving of none, and should be put in the trashcan...

Day at the SPA...more like day at the ZOO. I had 4 friends visiting from out of state and I was embarrassed that this was ranked as one of "Denver's best spas". When we walked into Rain Spa we thought we were in the wrong location based on their website. First of all the facility was absolutely disgusting, dirty, clutter everywhere, out-dated equipment, and the employees were dressed extremely unprofesional. With our first impression, none of us even wanted to go into the rooms. We contemplated cancelling our appointments, and had it not been for the 1/2 price charge we would have. Once inside the treatment rooms there was no relaxation involved. Rooms were in the basement small, cramped, some didn't have doors and the walls didn't touch the ceilings so you could hear the services going on around you and the people upstairs.
My friend's massage, facial, and pedicure were all interrupted at one point or another. The owner, even took a call from a complaining client which led to only one foot get messaged and scrubbed. At the end of my pedicure she wrapped my feet in plastic bags promising me it would keep my polish from smearing. Once I removed the plastic bag I realized her "little trick" hadn't work and my polish was smeared all over my feet. I called to get a partial refund and I was told it was unfair to them because we didn't tip them enough. The prices are comparible to four star spas. The robes provided had holes in the butt, were tattered and you had to sit in the front lobby while wearing them. We were required to wait up to an hour between services. They were extremely undetstaffed. There were two of us in pedicure chairs while the employee went back in forth to each of us during the service. This Spa practices false advertising, and should not even be called a spa. We were there for 5 hours, for services that should have taken three or less. Needless to say, it was not the relaxing day with the girls that I had hoped it would be.

So.....my friend and I received a wonderful gift of getting massages. We are both estheticians that love what we do and know how to take care of our clients. The only time we could get a massage was on a monday. Great so we scheduled them. First we found out that there is only one massage therapist on that day. Ok fine we could deal, we would just sit a read while we waited for eachother. We got there and come to find out one of us would have to leave for an hour because she had to lock up. Are you kidding me! Good Lord I'm not going to steal anything! I don't know any spa that would make you leave. I came all the way down from colorado springs and didn't feel like walking in the cold for an hour. So I left while my friend got her massage. I was not about to get my massage and let her touch me. When my friend came out she was not pleased by her service. And while getting her service she had the nerve to talk about me and saying how I had an attitude. I'm a very understanding person and I think anybody wanting to come and relax and have an experience would be upset and have a little bit of an "attitude". Well needless to say DON'T GO! Oh yeah and she's the freaking OWNER! That should tell you of what kind of place she's running. And go ahead and respond how ever you like. I've noticed quite a bit of spas are shutting down in Cherry Creek, with service like yours, I'm sure you place isn't far behind from being shut down!

I went to this spa with a close friend. We both got swedish massages and our experiences couldn't have been more different. I had Amanda and she was awesome. It Very relaxing and she didn't talk through the whole thing. The music was soothing and the place had a nice ambience. My friend however had another person do her massage (I can't remember the woman's name), but said she talked through the whole thing and was anything but relaxing. Overall, I would go again, but make sure to book an appointment with Amanda.

My husband and I have been visiting Rain Spa for years, we've felt for a long time that it's Cherry Creek's best kept secret. We wanted a place that we could go as a couple, but we really wanted a neutral environment that was not too femine or masculine so we could both enjoy it. I thought I would never be able to get my husband to a Spa, but he has never passed up a massage at The Rain Spa. After visitng some of the trendy spa's of the moment, we found Rain Spa to be our perfect fit. Cherry Creek has changed a lot in the past few years, but Rain Spa has always delivered. I've been giving my family gift certificates for holidays, and they've loved the spa just as much as we do. If I could reccommend my favorite treatments, it would be the manicure/pedicure combo, while my husband claims the swedish massage is his cure all for stress. Even when our life has changed, i.e. job changes, kid stresses, moving, Rain Spa has been there to give us the jolt of life we need. As long as they keep on delivering, we'll keep on coming back.

I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. Don't go here! I went there for a brazilian and got Kathy. The front desk assured me she was very good, even great. I've had brazilians before and was familiar with the waxing procedure. Not so here. She was very chatty, to where it was awakward. Then didn't remove all the hair. I had to shave! Not what I wanted. I'll take my money somewhere else.

My first impression was rather disappointing. While the receptionist was friendly, the rest of the staff, who were sitting at their desks when I walked in, were rather cold. The rugs were in dire need of vacuuming and there was only one small wicker "sofa" in which to sit on while I waited for my appointment. From the reviews I had a expected a serene escape, but it was not that at all. I did find the massage was very good, as well as the facial, but I just could not get past the disappointment of the establishment itself. It's hard to get past first impressions in this spa. I've been to other spas and while this was not the worst I've been to, I'd just rate it average.

I came in for a brow wax about a week ago and wasn't very impressed with the spa at arrival, but I figured I needed them done so I stayed. I asked the esthetician to not take too much of my brows considering they were already thin. When I finally got up I was HORRIFIED!!!! All of my brow was practically gone and she didn't even mention how bad they turned out, when she obviously knew I was dissappointed. I complained to the front desk, but they still charged me for it. Do not go here if you want your eyebrows done!!!

I visited Rain Spa Bodyworks this past weekend and I must say that it was a truly, enjoyable experience. While most of the other spas I have visited have been somewhat cold, Rain Spa truly was a place of warmth and kindness. I love the decor and it truly feels like home. The services are amazing and the staff was professional. I highly recommend this spa and I know that I will definitely be going back.

I'm used to going into posh Cherry Creek spas, were appearance comes before service. I loved the comfy feeling of Rain Spa, and the staff was all too nice. It was clean and ordely and the products are professional and all smell great!! I would definitely recommend the MINT-CHOCOLATE pedicure and manicure and the massages are great too. I will definitely be back again. LOOOVED IT ALLLLLL!!!!

It was clean and ordely and the products are professional and all smell great!! I would definitely recommend the MINT-CHOCOLATE pedicure and manicure and the massages are great too. I will definitely be back again. LOOOVED IT ALLLLLL!!!!

Pros: parking behind building, friendly staff

Cons: NONE

I recently visited Rain spa. It was amazing! My husband bought me a Gift Certif. which was a wonderful surprise and a great idea. For a unbelieveable price I had a whole day at the spa. My morning started out with a body scrub that was heavenly it was followed by a lavender steam which relaxes you so much, I than recieved a deep tissue massage from Danelle which was wonderfuly perfect after the steam treatment. My facial was really relaxing, it was so comferting, warm, and peaceful. I highly recommened getting a facial if anything you will love there massage and hidden little extas. The pedicure and manicure were wonderful and what a way to end the perfect day. When you visit this place. "YOU WILL LOVE IT"!!!!!! Just a little tip they have parking behind there place.

I went to Rain spa a few weeks ago for a facial and for a pedicure. Both women were friendly and informative. It was my first facial and she was very upfront about the process being painful. The woman that did my pedicure was actually the owner and she was so great to talk to. I wish they had knocked the price down for my brow wax since they only tweezed.

I booked here based on the reviews and rating which must have been inflated. I went for a manicure for my wedding. I arrived on time but had to wait 10 minutes while the entire staff ate sandwhichs. My aesthetician even said, "do you mind if I finish my lunch?" And then ate slowly, chit chatting with her co-workers. The manicure that followed was by far the absolute worst I've ever had. She used too much lotion and ridge filler - both of which were all gunked up in the cuticles by the time she finished. I even asked for my money back which I've never done before. The girl who refunded my money was very rude and sarcastic, she seemed shocked I would dare ask. I'll never go back. I have no idea why it has such a high rating on Citysearch.

I was looking for a spa with great prices, exquisite services and a welcoming environment and staff for my maitron of honor and myself. Not only was my schedule fully accomodated, my maitron of honor and I had a manicure and pedicure that was the best I have ever had. I have had nail services at almost every spa and salon in Cherry Creek and I was pleasantly surprised that Rain Spa delivered the best results. I was with Nancy and my maitron of honor was with Karina, both women were obviously very good at their craft. The environment was relaxing, funny, pampering and best of all fun! It will be one of my best memories when I think back to my wedding. In the future, I wont be going anywhere else.

Immediately after entering the Rain Spa I was relaxed and comforted by the environment. The entire staff is so friendly - not snotty at all - and all the people working there are very knowledgable. I love the atmosphere - it's not cold and sterile like so many places. I would definitely recommend this spa.

This is a nice spa in Cherry Creek with a down to earth crowd and great service. If you don't want ritzy but you do want nice and comfy and clean this is the place. The folks are sweet and easy to talk to, nobody snooty hear but they are good at what they do and use great products.

What a pleasure to finally find a spa focused on wellness, not fluff. I just had a package of services at Rain Spa (viche wrap, massage, facial, pedicure), and I feel not only pampered and relaxed, but better physically, mentally, emotionally. I really appreciate the friendly, warm atmosphere and the skill of all the therapists. And the viche steam wrap was definitely my favorite! Thank you!

I was VERY impressed with the spa and the skill and knowledge of the staff. I did the Grape Escape spa package. The massage with Nancy was amazing, my skin was glowing after the facial with Christina, and my nails were flawless after the manicure and pedicure with Britney. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is down to earth. Definately not the uppity, stuffy spa atmosphere that is indicative of other spas. They have made me a customer for life!

I was very nervous about going to a spa because it was my first experience, but after my kids gave me a gift certificate, I thought I'd give it a try. Luckily, the women at Rain Spa made me feel incredibly welcome. My scrub was unbelievable and the water feature table-was amazing. Secondly my massage from Melody was so wonderful I forgot about all my stress, she was gentle but not distant and really concentrated on the parts I expressed concern about. My facial was with Amy, she made me forget about the little sting of a peel by making good conversation. My manicure and pedicure with Nancy was a great way to end my day because she was really charming and funny! I will never forget my great experience and I wanted to show thanks. I will never go anywhere else if I do it again.

Using a gift certificate I can tell you that this was at best a moderate experience. The facility was very small and disorganized, not very professional with the staff wearing faded jeans and talking in loud voices about their personal problems. My pedicure with Lisa was wonderful and my facial OK, but all the other services were hard to relax during as there was so much commotion going on. I didn't hate it, but I definately didn't leave feeling relaxed.

We went for massage and salon appointments on a Friday afternoon. The massage was ok, but the room was cramped and you could still hear everyone talking in the front lobby from the treatment room. Not exactly a quiet, relaxing environment. I was hoping to have a place to shower before/after the massage, but I was not offered that amenity. Even worse, I scheduled an hour massage that ended up being more like a 45 minute massage because we started late (though we did arrive on time)!

I have only the highest of praises for the staff at Rain Spa on how welcoming they are to their male clients. I have been a client at the Rain Spa since they opened and have always felt welcomed, even though I am a male. All treatments from massages to waxings to manicures are avaliable to both male and female clients. The staff is relaxed, fun, and professional. I encourage all people to try out the Spa, especially men, you will leave feeling relaxed pampered and looking forward to your next visit!

Nancy (the Owner) takes great pride in offering the best/innovative treatments out there. From a manicure to a massage, the services are top notch. I can't wait to try them all.
