I used to eat at tokyo joe's quite frequently till I decided to check out Tokyo San Bowl. My life has never been the same since. I finally found a healthy fast food place that uses fresh, healthy, real ingredients. The quality and variety is un-matched for this price, not to mention the friendly customer service. I have sense become a regular and I recommend this place to everyone.

Pros: fresh sushi, sushi delivery, customer service

Cons: there arent enough of these places!!

I love this place, the sushi rolls are bomb but the selection of bowls they have too is amazing, all at a resonable price. Great staff too. My friend told me he saw Ted from Bill and Teds excellent adventure working there, thats definitely worth checking out.

I love me some sushi but I have high standards. I'm aware that fast food style places won't provide the same quality as a sit down restaurant but obviously it costs way less so I judge it accordingly. I find the quality here on most of the items to be a bit better than similar places like Tokyo Joe's. However, Tokyo San Bowl comes without the corporate, "cookie cutter" design/atmosphere which really made my frequent stops more noticed/appreciated by the owner who runs that whole place himself. Needless to say, I was impressed by the quality of the food as well as the customer service/hard work that makes that place function 7 days a week.

I will be the first to admit this...this place serves good and healthy food. I have been there a couple times. However, the service on the last visit was horrible. They messed up our meal (gave us the wrong thing) and would not let us exchange it. The person behind the counter was extremely rude. You are taking a chance ordering deliverly because if the order is messed up you will not get it corrected.

If I had to debate between Taki's on Colfax and Toyko San, I would be torn. They pretty seem like the same, same prices, atmoshere, variety. I've been to Toyko San Bowl only a couple of times, and enjoyed it. Would go back again. It never gets crowded, not sure if that's a good sign b/c the location is pretty key.

Pros: Convenient Japanese food, a step above Kokoro

We order from Tokyo San at least every two weeks: they are that good. High quality food at a great price. Their miso soups (regular and ginger) are delicious and full of miso and tofu. Ordering any entree in a bento box adds a small salad with an intensely flavorful dressing and an appetizer like spring or California rolls. This is a family operation, so you might see a small child working on homework while you dine. The dining area is functional but not large. That isn't a problem for us as most of the time we either order and go or have it delivered. The staff is friendly and we have never had a bad meal.
