I have usually found metro to be the best taxi service in Denver. the drivers are great and go beyond their duties. this review is not to criticize drivers, but the customer service order line. in the past week, first my phone number

Why is there not a zero star option? Because this AWFUL company is far worse than the "Eh" represented by one star. I will NEVER waste my time calling Metro Taxi again.

I WILL NEVER Use THIS CAB COMPANY AGAIN! So i called a cab 13 degrees outside to pick up My 3 Year old daughter from School the meter read $3.50 When I got out of The cab to Run in and get my child when I came out after 2min the Meter Said

Consistently I use Metro Taxi to take me from Wash Park to the Down Town area to hang out with friends. I have only good things to say about the company and the drivers.
They always pick me up - they always bring me home, and sometimes

We called to get a cab this morning in Westminster and when the driver showed up the first thing out of his mouth is a complaint that he was dispatched from downtown Denver. Then he has the nerve to ask us if we had asked the dispatcher if their were any cabs in the area before they dispatched him.
Also, he asked us if we were paying by cash or credit. Apparently "credit" was not the answer he wanted because he threw a fit and said that we're only going down the road and it would be a five dollar fair. (By the way, it was over $10, but we refused to pay any more since he wouldn't except credit cards and we only had $10 on us). This really set me off since we already specified on the phone with the dispatcher that we would pay them, with a credit card.
I was very pissed out our driver and told him that he makes all cabbies look bad and that I would call and complain about him. THEN he decides to be nice.
metro taxi does not treat people with respect; they even complain about having to do their job. they do not want my business, so I will not give it to them anymore.

I drove for Metro on and off since 1992,but no more. I quit in 05 for good,I thought....but went back earlier this month due to the economy. Got the physical,the license,did the class,the training,and oops no cabs to drive. "Denver's largest fleet",nearly 500 cabs,and none available. Been trying for 2 weeks. I made a pile of money for this company in the past,but since they dont want anymore of it from me,I'll go give it to someone else. It was a cool company to work for when it was locally owned.

No, worst service I've ever dealt with. I call at 12:20, I'm going to need to be picked up at 12:45. At 1:00 I call, and they tell me it'll be like twenty minutes. Alright, I say. 40 MINUTES later I call again. The lady answers, I tell her I've called twice now and my cab still isn't here. SHE HANGS UP ON ME. Yes, she hung up on me. A paying customer. So I call back one more time, angry, and the guy tells me NO ONE HAS LEFT YET. I found this astonishing. An hour and 20 minutes, and NOT ONE CAR has left?! What kind of taxi service is that?! It's bulls*** (I don't know if I'm permitted to cuss on this website). Just don't do it. Call 303 777 7777 or something. Maybe that'll get you somewhere.

sorry guys but when i state my address and you go 20 miles in the wrong direction as I tell you and your computer in your car tells you to turn around and head in another direction I have trouble recommending you to anybody. I live 3 miles from downtown and you are unable to located my residence, thats bad business. I gave you land marks multiple times and you could not even get close to where i live. i am appalled that you are still in business as a cab company. 21 dollars for what should be 6-10 dollar cab ride give me a break.

I used to work for Metro Taxi. In fact, I worked both inside the building as an employee and outside as an independent contractor. While other companies may deal well with customer complaints and drivers not picking up fares, Metro Taxi only cares for one thing - whether the drivers pay their (very high) cab lease. I was constantly frustrated as a driver by other drivers who would provide poor service with no consequence (except to reduce the overall business for those of us working our butts off trying to provide quality service and make a living.) As an employee, I found that the company cared just as little about its drivers and employees. Employees at this company are paid 50% or more less than what the union employees at Yellow Cab are paid, and it shows. Don't work for this company, don't call this company for service, and don't drive for this company.
