i think that David Ellis is extremely nice and i had a pleasant visit to his store i came all the way from California and now buy all my jewelery from them

Called D. Ellis trying to locate a larger diamond that might be a better deal than what I had already found. He was incredibly rude and unwilling to give one iota of information. I am located in Cheyenne and do not want to drive all the way down there just because someone is too lazy to take even 3 minutes to answer a reasonable question. I notice he has huge ads in the newspaper and will come to your home if he thinks he can get a steal of a deal buying up estate jewelry.... but can't take a minute on the phone to talk to me. Why would I want to spend my money on this guy when there are so many other more customer service oriented jewelers in need of my business?

I went to six, jewelers to find a white gold band for my fiance,no one wanted to bother to find the style we wanted, and went to David Ellis and not only did we get a fair and honest deal and they will deliver the ring to us in 2 days. All can say is we are completely satisfied and will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

Have lived in Denver for the past 35 yrs. and have made many fine purchases over the years from various jewelers around town and in Boulder. For the most part, have had good service and warm welcomes from most jewelers. However, on the one occasion, (and last, I might add) I stopped into David Ellis Jewelers w/a friend, we were both taken aback at the rude manner in which we were 'greeted' by Mr. Ellis. He must have written the book on 'How to Lose Customers', as he turned us both off w/his abrupt, cocky manner. Needless to say, we left w/o purchasing anything. Apparently this is his regular demeanor as another friend I mentioned this situation to, spoke in the same tone about him. She said some not too choice words about him, and I thought this guy obviously does not know how to be polite and accommodating w/customers. This is one customer who will definitely take her business elsewhere. As for my friend, ditto.

I went into this jewelry store and they were thugs, we dont want new york thugs in colorado. Tell him to leave. He pushes his weight around denver and his customers. He feels like everyone is a peeon. He doesnt like to deal with the older customers. I will never spend any of my money in that store and I agree with the other writers about his aka. What is it really. I have a football friend who has known him for years and says that is not his real name. There you have it, new york style people in colorado. Dont shop at his store. He thinks he has the best jewelry well I went across the street to Gnats and he is the best.

I visited David Ellis Jewelers this past week and was quite impressed with the knowledge, old school service and fun atmosphere. I will use David Ellis as my jeweler from now on!

I called and spoke to David Ellis, as I was interested in selling some diamond jewelry. He was not at all friendly on the phone, and was even sarcastic and condescending. I ended up hanging up on him, and can definitely say I will NEVER shop in his store. East Coast thug...yep, sounds about right.

I shop and visit CC on a regular basis and will no longer frequent Ellis Jewelers. I've decided to spend my $$ elsewhere, as I don't support a former thug from the east coast who is in collusion w//RTD's Cal Marsella and Mike Locke, city mgr. of Lakewood in their attempts to use eminent domain conveniently for their own purposes. The staff at David Ellis made my experience pleasant. They more then met my expectations with their courteous, knowledgeable staff and exquisite inventory ranging from unique jewelry pieces to rare and vintage china and art works. I would certainly recommend them and will certainly look forward to visiting again.
