Putrid, nauseatingly filthy kitchen area. Food tastes like licking a bar-b-q-grill. Wife ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Instead of warning her that they have had complaints earlier, the waiter goes ahead and lets her order it anyway

Regret walking in the door!! While service was mediocre at best, waiter was somewhat attentive, his support staff lacked customer service skills. I ordered burger with no tomatoes (due to severe allergy to fresh tomatoes) and burger showed up with more tomatoes than my wife's had on it. Did they want to see me swell up and croak? Also my son got a grill cheese with moldy bread but of course I didn't see it until he had 2 bites left. They gave us the grill cheese and 2 kids shakes for free. I manage a restaurant part-time and I would have written the whole check off for those issues. I had to ask them not to charge me for the grill cheese. I warned people walking in to turn around on my way out the door.

Pros: On 16th Street

Cons: bad food, bad service

In Short
Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff. Besides fast food staples like hot dogs,…
