This little french bakery has wonderful stuffed croissants. They melt in your mouth! Try the spinach and parmesan crossant for a savory treat or the blueberry and cream cheese for something sweet. Open in the morning.

A true French bakery, offering absolutely delicious breads and pastries. They do have 2 little tables by the window, but it's designed more for taking your treats home. Only open in the morning.

Trompeau bakes perfect, crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside bread. The ciabatta and mulit-grain are amazing and inexpensive. Get in early or order ahead.

This is the best bakery for french pasteries. Their crossants are so flaky they melt in your mouth. Their hours are 6 - 1:30 and it is best to be there early in the morning for the best selection because when they run out of something thats it for the day.

When you order croissant at this place, you will get hot ones right from the oven! They are very crispy, flaky, and buttery. They also have filled croissant, quiche, french baggett, and other bread. In my opinion, they have the best croissant in town. You cannot eat any others once you try theirs.

Without a doubt, the best croissant and authentically French baked goods in Denver. Trompeau is more bread-centric than anything else, making it more of a boulangerie than a patisserie. The baguettes are outstanding- hard and chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. But the draw are the croissant. Flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked. Brasserie Felix in Denver serves them on occasion for its weekend brunch and we were immediately moved to track them down without a middle man! The bakery itself is a tiny, local spot which can become chaotic as the morning wears on. Also, they don't have much of a tea selection and were out of orange juice this past Saturday morning at 11ish...but then, that's not what you're going for, anyway! (Added bonus: Animated French conversation can be heard coming from the back, which adds another layer of authenticity to the place).

Pros: Authentic French croissant and breads at exceptionally reasonable prices

Cons: You might be out of luck if you come at the wrong time

The best chocolate croissants in the Denver Metro Area. Light, flaky and tasty, as if they were just flown in from Paris. I bring them to staff meetings and they boost morale. ;) Lots of variety of pastries and breads!! I've often had to wait in a line that literally goes out the door on a Saturday morning. Definitely a must visit!

Pros: Chocolate croissants!!!

Cons: Not a ton of space to sit, eat and hang-out during the colder months when you can't sit outside. More of a grab n' go place.

I came on a recommendation of a friend. Ever since that first experience with the lovely staff from this french bakery I have returned, always bringing a guest so they may also enjoy this little nugget on Evans. I would recommend the blueberry and cream cheese croissants. And the coffee isn't bad either!

Pros: Exceptional bread that is baked daily for dinner that night.

Cons: Small dining area but perfect for a quick stop.

Absolutely excellent food, terrific value! The place is a little cramped, with a tiny display case, and a few tables to sit and enjoy your pastry. The owner/chief worker, Pascal, is a delight, pleasant and helpful, and works like a dog to make exquisite baked goods.

Be sure to go early; it is easy to see why he runs out of certain items, and you'll probably want your food "to go" since tables will be full.
