i wouldnt say trust worthy or ethical. i would not recomend them.
the reason for this is my car was running really rough and sounding aweful. i droped my car off at 11am for a diognostic and they said it would be a few hours. THE NEXT MORNING i had to call them and ask where my car was. he said they found the cause but it took a while. they said needed a $200 ambient air temp sensor. he said that this would absolutelly fix the problem and the issues with it running rough. i said okay and approved the work. i then showed up later that night, paid, and recived my keys. i went to the car and started it and it was exactlly the same!!! sounded aweful and was running horrible. i went back inside and asked him to listen to the car. he then told me they noticed that and it was my timing chain cover is gone and its my timming chain slapping against the the engine he said it could last 5 miles or at best 20,000 miles at most and then the timming chain would break and my enigine would be ruined. he said that its not worth replacing the timming chain.
this to me is fine and i would have been okay with the answer but i wouldnt have paid $200 for a sensor that would "fix" my problem if my car was only going to last another 20,000 miles at most.
i think they are cheap and they are not honest. a decent mechanic, not even good but decent or at least ethical would have said:"hey its your timming chain there is too a sensor out but the main cause is your timming chain slapping against your engine and it might be time to look at a new car."
instead of screwing me out of an extra $200 for no reason
it might also be relevant to note that the magical part that would "fix" my car was $30 the rest was PURE labor.
(ps i rated one star because the site would not allow me to select one)
So relaxing to have someone so very trustworthy and honest handling problems with vehicles. We have been customers for more years than I can count and friends of my parents have been using Wessbecker since 1970 something! My Volvo indicated engine problems and I was so worried it was a major repair. When I picked up the vehicle I was charged 50 cents. The oil plug gasket was torn...........most other places would have taken me to the bank. Love this family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to Wessbecker for several years now for pretty much all my automotive maintenance needs. I took my 2003 Ford Escort into them for a 90,000 mile service. They replaced the timing belt and several other minor components, and that along with labor came out to just under $300. They also replaced the brakes on that vehicle, which had gone out, on all four wheels at a very reasonable price. When I got my 1997 Saturn SL2 and it developed problems I immediately called them. They have worked on that vehicle twice in the past two months, and both times their service has proven excellent and their price extremely good. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a reliable, affordable mechanic. I plan on using them for all my future automotive needs.
