This is a little off the wall place, but it is warm and friendly with good food and good people. The souvlakia sandwich is really good. Ask for the free rice pudding for dessert. It is first rate!

The food was mediocre, the owner rude and unfriendly, the crowd extremely old. There are many better options nearby.

My girlfriend and I had driven by this place and decided to try it out. We finally decided to. The food was nothing special. Also, if you are under the age of 70, you'll find yourself out of place here. On our way out, my friend that I was meeting afterwards called. I told him where we were, and he asked if we could pick him up a breakfast burrito to go from Mercedes that essentially shares a parking lot with the Sunrise.

On our way over, the owner for the Sunrise actually came out and yelled that we had to get out of his parking lot immediately (there is basically one rope separating the two parking areas). We tried to calmly explain we were just in his restaurant, but that we were just going over to get something for my friend. He continued to be very verbally abusive towards us and yelling. By the way, the parking lot was less than half full. We would have considered going back before this incident, but will never return to patronize such a jerk with bad business sense.

Cons: Unfriendly owner, geriatric crowd

I love taking my parents here after church. It's always super packed but you will never wait more than five minutes. Everyone here is wonderful, they are super friendly and very genuine (they are watched closely by the owner at all times to ensure that they treat the customers well). Their food is amazing. It is a Greek/American/Mexican mixture that is to die for. You can get a breakfast burrito smothered in green chili (my Hispanic husband gives it two thumbs up!), or an omlet with fetta cheese. You MUST try this place!

Pros: They have my favorite smothered breakfast burrito!

Cons: None!!

Don't let the converted Burger King exterior fool you... Sunrise Cafe is one of those "neighborhood joints" that will give you a warm tummy and heart at the same time. Sunrise has great breakfast classics and excellent Mexican and Greek dishes too! The huevos rancheros and greek omelette are two plates that will not disappoint. The breakfast burritos are the size of the entire plate and you may need a doggie bag. Be sure to say hi to Gus (the Greek), who owns the place and runs is like a well oiled machine. You won't wait long if he's in charge!
