This is a wonderful museum! So many fun activities and do and learn. There is a life-size firetruck w/lockers of hats and coats to make believe as soon as you step in and even more wondrous activities as you go upstairs. Artists easels w/paper, paints and stamps. Dance floor, magnet board, mini grocery store and deli, forest room and arts & crafts stations!

I went on a free "Target Tuesday" night w/my 2-yr-old daughter and had a BLAST! There were tons of people there, but it honestly didn't seem too crowded. Driving and parking was easy, too. We had a fantastic time. It is well worth the small price of admission they charge!

We took our 4 year old son to the Children's Museum after viewing their website. Thinking that $7 was a good deal, we went around 11:30 AM on a Saturday. This turned out to be a mistake. First of all, this place was completely overrun by kids. I understand that this is the purpose of a children's museum but it was not equipped to handle but a fraction of the visitors. Second, this place was severely understaffed. There was no order. We spent most of the time searching for an opening. If your child is not highly aggressive, they will not enjoy themselves as they will not get their turn in any of the rooms. And do not count on the parents as it seemed they merely dropped off their kids and kept no watch over some of these very rude and misbehaved children. The only saving grace was a firetruck on the bottom floor that our son was able to play on. The idea was great but at the end of the day, we ended up with a son who was very dissappointed. I would recommend that if you wish to visit the Children's Museum to try to do so during the week, perhaps it will not be as crowded.

Pros: Building look great to kids during the approach

Cons: Crowds, understaffed, not enough stations to accomodate

Denver's Children's Museum is one of the best I have been to!

There is so much to see and do. My youngest loved just being able to get his hands on anything.

Great during the week for younger kids, when school is in session.

The Children's Museum of Denver is awesome! I have just as much fun as my 4 year old daughter every time we go. She loves the pretend grocery store area where there are mini grocery carts, mini check out lane, mini cash register and a ton of grocery store items to buy. She could spend all day in there! In the same area is the restaurant where she hands me a menu and everything on the menu is back on the other side of the counter so she can really pretend to cook what I order (plastic food). It is great! She also loves the art area and paints a masterpiece every time we go. There are so many different things to do- I highly recommend it!

The museum is fun for the kids and there are a lot of different areas, but once you get into a room or a section there aren't that many activities to keep them occupied so they end up running from one to the other and then get bored after a bit. I think there could be more things for them to do in each area. Overall though, it kept them busy for an hour.

My kids still love this museum and they are 6 and 8! It has the best hands on things for them to do. They love the grocery store. They have a track that you put metal balls on and watch them go down to the lower level. There are things for kids to do that teaches them about science and nature. Great fun!

I've been taking my daughter to this museum since she was six months old. She's loved it every time. We can spend two or three hours there (and that's a long time for a baby) and she dosen't get bored at all. If you go early the museum isn't that crowded even on Saturdays. They have special activitys every day of the week. I'm excited to see how my daughter continues to enjoy and explore this wonderful museum as she grows older.

Pros: Good from birth up, Good value, Free Parking

Cons: Restaraunt Selection

My toddler loved exploring all of the unique themes and play places in this museum. She especially enjoyed the real fire truck and dressing up like a fire fighter. The only thing that I disliked was that the art area was a disaster and it was difficult to find any clean, unused supplies to make crafts. Also, the grocery store didn't have very many shopping carts and my daughter was disappointed that she didn't get to go "shopping" because they were all being used. Other than that, it's a great place for kids to visit- maybe visiting on a weekday would be a better idea since it probably isn't as busy.

I have children ranging in age from 2-10 and we ALL enjoy the Children's Museum. It is a fantastic outing (especially on weekday afternoons) with plenty for them to do -- and always something new!

I have two children, ages 10 and 3. This is a wonderful place to take them, because they both enjoy themselves every time we go.
We've had two birthday parties at the museum. -It's fun for the kids, and the parents always seem to have a great time as well.
I really like the extra information that the museum provides, like a list of recommended children's books. I feel that they are out to educate parents and kids alike.

We have a membership to the musuem. It is the best membership that you could possbily have with two very active boys. We go there almost once a month, and there is always something new for the boys to see or do. The only set back that they have is the size. It seems crouded at times almost to the point that if their little parking lot is full then we find somewhere else to go. With school kids there and a full lot it seems a hard for my two boys to enjoy themselves.

PROS: Lots of learning and creative toys
CONS: Small

The Children's Museum of Denver is a place where kids can learn and play at the same time. Exhibits vary, and cater to the youngest visitors (infants & their parents), to those who want to explore art and theater.
Multicultural events like "Noon Year's Eve Around the World" allow kids to celebrate the new year Mexican, Japanese and Irish-style.
Lots of cool classes and hands-on displays make for a fun day for kids and their parents/guardians.

This place is fantastic for your elementary school aged child or your toddler. With one hands on activity after another you can spend the whole afternoon here. Crowded on the weekends, great during the week.

I wish we had something this cool where I live. It is like a perment play group. Although I did notice it was very busy on the 8 yr and older sections, the small children's section was fantastic. They have toys, a bridge my son could crawl around on, and so much more. I was secptical when the web site said from birth on up, but it is true, a newborn would have fun at this place. The best part, my son played so hard, he slept through the night!! They could seperate the older kids from the younger kids a little better.

Pros: FUN, FUN, FUN, lots to do, good for any age

Cons: Not much seperation, a little crowded
