I have been to most of the steak houses in Denver, and I have to say, Brook's is the cream of the crop. I have gone to Brook's for both celebrations and business dinners, and I have always left full, satisfied, and impressed. The staff

Great wine selection (I think they have close to 800 on the menu!) Everything is delicious. We had the ahi tuni, shrimp scampi, filet mignon, and baked bri. It was all good. It is a little pricy but the food and the service is excellent and worth it for a special occasion.

This place is upscale and their food is terrific! I went on the way to the theater and it was great to get all dressed up for a 'fancy' night out. My meal was perfect. Keep in mind, this one is pricey...comparable to prices at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

Once again I have been awed by the dining experience at Brooks Steak House. In business I have had the opportunity to travel and dine with the finest. Brooks provides high quality entree's paired with a wine list that is second to none. After dining with Brook's for the past two years I once again was provided exceptional service by ( Del Mar ) a young man that is engaging and professional .

This is an independent Steak House and I highly recommend it.

We have been to Del Friscos and Mortons and found the food superior at Brooks. Prices are high given the outdated decor and casual dining atmosphere.

We have been Brooks customers for years and recently have been disappointed with the experience. Based on their high prices, we cannot recommend dining there.
Recently we visited on a Saturday night. We asked for help selecting a wine, and we were told that there was no Sommelier on duty. On a Saturday? To me this indicates problems with management.
Other than that, the lobster was great, steak was so-so, service was OK, bread tasted day-old, vegetables were undercooked, and the creme brulee was very good.
No longer a good value.

Four steaks as tough as leather. My feeling is three strikes and your out. We were a party of six and ended up with four over cooked, low quality, gristly pieces of meat. I used to be a fan of Brooks, I have however noticed the quality is just not there anymore. The waitress confirmed my sentiments saying that " she has been hearing more and more complaints" (we tipped her well, the poor thing). Our side's were cold and tasteless. All in all one of the wost dining experiences we have ever had. Make room Capital Grill there will be six of us.

I love Brooks Steakhouse! The food is good and the service is awesome. A couple of reviews have said that it was too pricy, but on the contrary to those statements. Don't go to Brooks if your usual eating budget is McDonalds, that is just stupid. Brooks makes amazing steaks and the service is great! It is great for a romantic evening and also, in some rare cases, good for kids, it is really the kids behavior, but if you have good kids it is great! Hope this helps!

We've driven past Brook's for years and always meant to stop in. Of all nights, we decided Valentine's Day was the night to give them a try. What a nice surprise! We made reservations two days prior and yet were not on the list. The front desk never skipped a beat and made every effort to get us in. We sat at the bar for awhile and I had a very yummy lemon drop martini (Good, but not the best I've had - Cheesecake Factory at Park Meadows has Lemon Drops to die for!.. I digress.) While sipping our drinks I noticed how quickly and efficiently the tables were being turned. The restaurant is warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hostess came and found us just as we finished our first drinks. We were seated in what appeared to be a banquet room obviously set up for the expected increase in diners. Still very comfortable. The service was fabulous - attentive and friendly. The food was just as we had expected. The steaks were perfectly prepared. No seasoning or frills - just the way they should be. Brook's is not cheap - however not as pricey as Del Frisco or Morton's for the same service and quality of food. To be honest, I did not hold out much hope of getting great service or food on such a busy night. But Brook's got it right! We'll be back.

We visited Brooks for Mother's day and the two fillet mignones were OK. We ordered three prime rib dinners and took two bites and ate no more. Called several days later to inform Brooks of the issue and they were in total denial and said there was nothing they could do because we didn't complain at the time and that no one else had complained. Oh so maybe because nobody else complained my complaint was not valid, huh? It was Mother's day and I didn't want any conflict. I explained to Leslie that I was not looking for anything free and at that point she offered us a gift certificate. No thanks. Any how everybody makes mistakes, it is only the pros that are smart enough to admit it. Avoid this place. Childish behavior in management...you know the drill.

Cons: steaks were so tough, the steak knifes were, ineffective.

Being from Texas, my husband and I eat steak a lot. This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. I was very disappointed in the steak. Like another reviewer said, they was no flavoring or seasoning. It was as if they threw a steak on and charred it. We both had bone-in ribeye ($33). I thought mine was too charred, my husband liked his, but he eats his medium rare. Mashed potatoes were nothing special and the broccoli was just steamed...nothing special. The one good item was the creamed corn. Even the s-berry shortcake was just okay. The restaurant is beautiful though.

My brother and I dined here two Sundays ago and had the VERY well valued 16oz Prime Rib Dinner with a crab cake appetizer. Items perfect in every way..especially when washed down with Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Service OUTSTANDING. Chef even gave us side of creamed "corn off the cob". Mmmmmmm. Also visited by the Rest. Manager twice at our table for conversation. Our party continued in the Cigar Cellar where the Bartender did attend to our every need. We had a wonderful cognac each sporting a very generous snifter pour accompanied by our own DM cigars. We were very delighted with the "hug you" feeling of the chairs...simply no better quality. After 4 hours in the establishment it was time to go. Paid bill and remembered that we had wanted cheesecake. Manager comped those and we departed...fantastically satiated. Alreading in process of organizing another function..with more buddies.

I wasn't that impressed with this restaurant. I was excited to go here after all the reviews I read. The food was ok. Nothing amazing by any means. The steaks were tender, but lacked flavor. This place is very expensive. I was almost shocked to see how much one steak costs, since everything else is a la carte. I've had better in Denver and most likely won't be back due to price and average food. The restaurant was decorated nice, upscale, but I couldn' tell if you were suppose to dress up or if it was casual.

Brooks is a wonderful place and we were fortunate
enough to experience it twice within the last three
months. The food was out of this world and our
waiter (Chris) treated us like we were his only table
both times he waited on us. He entertained my whole family and made the evening. I highly recommend Brook's!

Denver has so many great steakhouses, it's hard to choose a favorite. Although I read a lot of reviews about the irregular service at Brooks, the night 8 of us celebrated a 30th wedding anniversary, you would have thought we owned the place. Outstanding service with just the right attention, and the food was top shelf...definitely a keeper!

Great food, the steaks are so tender they melt in your mouth and very attentive service. The one problem, as with all other Denver high end steakhouses, is the wait - we had a 7:15 reservation but did not sit down until 8:15!

Fine dining, not so much, but it's a steak house. Excellent and attentive service (Lisa was outstanding). The Brooks salad was as good a salad as I've ever had, textures and tastes that blended extremely well. The steak was cooked as ordered entirely edible. The lamb chops were among the better I've had. A good bottle of Italian Red (Monte Christa) rounded out an overall pleasurable dining experience. Escargot was also excellent.

I ate at Brook's for the first time back in October of 1998 while I was in Denver for a convention. To this day, I have never forgotten the steak I had there! My mouth still waters when I think of it, and it remains as the best steak I have ever had. I am so glad that we recently moved to Colorado Springs, so I can go back Brook's whenever I crave a good steak feast!

Brooks looks like many other steak houses dark wood paneling, subdued lighting, white tablecloths, booths, etc. which leads you to expect a great steak. This is where your vision and expectations break down. Although there are many steak selections on the menu, there are only 3 that are prime. The rib eye, porterhouse, and a NY strip. No prime filet?! In addition, they were a little on the small and thin side. Not what you come to expect from a great steakhouse. It is not so much that you want a lot of steak as it is that you want one big enough and thick enough to get cooked correctly. The appetizers and salads were very good. Can you believe the onion rings were the frozen variety! The service was just right. The wine list was a little pricey but well populated with very good wines.

We had heard of Brooks, and as we drove into Denver from out of state, we stopped at Brooks for basic information about the restaurant. Having driven 13 straight hours and dressed in wrinkled, dirty sweat clothes, they still insisted we looked fine. Upon entering, the atmosphere was beautiful and we would have felt totally out of place except that the staff treated us as if we were Heads of State. The food was excellent, and we plan to drive back to Denver JUST to eat at Brooks! This time we shall dress a bit more appropriately, though, but I don't think Brooks would mind if we didn't.

I've visited almost every major steakhouse in this town, and Brook's is my choice for best steak. The meat is SUPERB. Bottom Line. The ambience of the place isn't anything special, but the food and the service are impeccable. They also serve good crab and lobster, and if your meal is anything short of perfect, the management will make it right for you. If what you want is the best piece of meat in town prepared perfectly, this is your place.

I enjoy everything about Brook's Steakhouse!
I frequent this restaurant at least three times a month. Normally, I am too busy to write to search engines but I read a bad review about Brook's and I had to step in. If you want to be treated as though you are the only customer in the restaurant, like royalty for a day, then this is the place for you. The service and food is unmatched with any other steakhouse in the city!
I love the treatment there so much that I expect the same service everywhere I go. Unfortunately, what Brook's does naturally, that is giving impecible service and a quality dining experience, does not filter through the work ethic of other steakhouses. I've been to Del Frisco's they care about themselves and the dollar, not the person, or the steak.

I am disappointed to see Brooks merit only a #7 on the top 10 list of steak houses in Denver. Although a little higher priced then say Outback - their food is consistently out of this world. Their filet mignon can be cut with a fork and literally melts in your mouth. You haven't eaten well in Denver if you haven't had a chance to visit Brooks yet!

I'm sorry, but if the editors had a good meal at Brooks it was because they knew who you were and they tried harder. I have tried Brooks 4 times and all 4 times were a bust. Bad service, rude treatment twice, cold food twice. Worst was the wine steward bringing a differant vintage other than I ordered and starting to open without showing me. When I insisted he fessed up to the bottle being a differant (more recent) vintage, very unprofessional.
