These guys suck so bad. The little communist town I live has decided to FORCE me to use them.

I was an EDS customer for almost 3 years. Every time I tried calling their customer service, either the phone rang continuously or some snotty teenager answered. What, they can't afford an answering machine???
Finally, when I canceled my service, there was a balance left on my account. Upon issuing me the refund check, they deducted a $5 "processing fee". This policy is not disclosed ANYWHERE, it's just their "thank you" for discontinuing service.

I have since discovered trash collection companies CAN be professional. Thanks, EDS, I switched to Waste Management.

1/20/2011 I have been very disappointed with the service I have been given from this company. They have missed a pickup at least once a month and this month it has been twice. I have called everythime and it had been taken care of by the next day. Well not this time, I emailed Tuesday night when I got home from work as it was after hours, got no response so I called Wednesday afternoon a supervisor assured me it would be picked up on Thursday. Well here it is almost 5pm and my trash still hadn't been picked up so I called again and the person who answered was very rude. I was put on hold for over 15 minutes while they were supposedly trying to get a hold of a driver, they finally asked for a call back number and that they would call back when they figured it out. I never got a call back and when I tried to call them back it was an automated message saying it was after business hours. It shows throught their service and the way they treat their customers that thay could care less about you as a customer. No wonder they make you pay 3 months in advance at a time. I would not recommend this company for trash pick up unless you like spending your time calling them all the time bacause your trash hasn't been picked up. Ridiculious!!!!!

If you actually want someone to pick your trash up on a weekly basis, this probably isn't the company for you. They miss me at least once a month. And when you call to tell them, they act as though you are lying to them and argue with you.

I have used EDS for awhile. We did not have the missed pick up problems others seem to have had. However, on the few occasions we have needed to contact the company, it has been a day-long nightmare each time. Their phone bank is poorly staffed, if at all, and many of their operators are amazingly rude. We recently moved, and I asked EDS as well as two other local trash companies for quotes at the new address. The two other companies responded within 2 days. EDS responded almost two weeks later. I chose one of the other companies. Good riddance, EDS!

I have had a commercial dumpster for several months. Service was fine, but I missed a few times because we had cars in the way. When I tried to call them I could never get a hold of anyone, and they would never return my calls. I asked if they could relocate the dumpster, no call and no response.

They are a very reliable company. Their customer service is outstanding. If they will be changing their schedule due to holidays and such, you will always get a phone call ahead of time to remind you of this change. In the mountains, when leaving your trash out for an extra night warrants bear and lion visits, this is extremely helpful. They are a very personable company.
