We dine out and spend a minimum of $5,000 per month on dinner. Everywhere we go, we spend $350+ on sushi. When trying a new place, we try everything they have to offer, even if we just have a little bit because we tend to order too much!

Going to Wasabi was like going to a cafeteria. We only went there because we didn't know about Mountain Flying Fish, which has the best sushi we've had anywhere, including our favorites in San Diego and Hawaii... where they fly it in and it's less than 24 hours fresh.

Wasabi's fish was not fresh, so it was the only time we ever tried it. Why go back when it's inferior quality? Now that we live in Breck, we go to Mountain Flying Fish two to three times per week when we can... as much as we can. It's our favorite restaurant in Breck, next to Modis, Briar Rose, Relish, Fiesta Jalisco and Luches.

I just want to warn people because I don't like making the mistake that we did. It's a waste of time and money when you can have a real dining experience.

Pros: in the heart of Breckenridge...

Cons: like going to a cafeteria... not fresh!

It was my birthday and we wanted to try somewhere we have not been to. The sushi was at best okay but the worst part of the meal was the mere fact that the sushi would fall apart no matter how you tried to eat it (chopstick, fingers, and finally fork). I have up in the end and used a fork just to get at least a 1/4 of the roll all at once. It was also my first time listening to Taylor Dane and country while dining in a japanese restaurant.

Pros: sushi in summit county - never going to be great though

Cons: everything else

For me and my sushi freak friends, this little family business was a culinary discovery of the year.
The menu typical for a sushi place, offers also delicious eel, and crunchy crickets fried in syrup. Everything squicky fresh. Real wasabi, not some green colored horseradish.
We came there tree times. Almost everything was delicious. Sushi with such a richness and subtelty of flavors, evoked in intensity of experience tasting of great wines. From many others, spider rolls are particularly worth trying. Only green tee icecream was below par. Try instead wasabi icecream with quite specific taste.
Original Japanese green tee is a must if you want to know how real green tee shoud taste and look like. Hey, it is actually green! Service was excellent and gracious. Prices very modest . If you can tolerate rather ordinary although very clean ambiance, you'll get a sushi treat for a connaisseur.
