Pros: great staff and service, pleasant environment and parking!

Cons: It's the type of store you walk in and want everything!!!

This was a great store 20 years ago but they do not carry many designer clothing anymore like Yohji, Margiela and Cavalli. MAX down the street has those lines now. Still a good place to buy an expensive Italian sweater for the winter season.

Pros: Nice environment although a little stuffy

When you want clothes that have great style, fit right, and look fabulous, there's only one place to go: Lawrence Covell. The sales staff are personable and friendly and eager to help you find just the right suit, sweater, or casual clothes for work. Everything from Etro to Paul Smith, from Kiton to Barbera. They do all their own buying. Enjoy the experience of buying clothes in a relaxed atmosphere--have an espresso or a glass of wine while trying on the sumptuous clothes. Styles and designers change seasonally; the standards are high and quantities are limited. To beat the prices, hit the twice-annual sales--the merchandise gets heavily discounted late in the sale to make way for the next season. Or buy a Children's Campaign booklet and get a 20% discount on a great piece of clothing (going on now). A wonderful store; great clothes; and talented, warm people.

Pros: Many designers, Unique lines, Free parking

Cons: Pricey, but worth it

I recently shopped at Lawrence Covell and was amazed by both the level of personal service and the phenomenal selection of clothing lines. Kiton, Etro, Borelli, Barbera, Paul Smith, John Lobb to name a few. A store with lines of that stature could easily intimidate shoppers, but the experience at LC will put you at ease. I didn't feel pressure while browsing but when I did decide to try something on, the excellent staff helped me choose a piece that truly enhanced my wardrobe.
The interaction with the staff is extremely personable and collegial; and rather than clothes, you'll find yourself discussing an off the beat restaurant in NYC or a great boutique hotel in Paris.
If you are looking for exquisitely tailored clothing using the finest materials in the world and the best service to match, there is only one store in Denver that warrants mentioning: Lawrence Covell.

I visited the store recently. The selection wasn't much impressive especially in ladies department but the most shocking thing was that i was treated rudely by an older lady which i found later was the owner's wife. I guess i didn't want to believe the rumors and wanted to check it out for myself. I wish i didn't! I will never go back to this store again. I don't have to deal with neurotic, arrogant, customer service clueless people. There are lot of great shops in Cherry Creek and in Denver that i'm sure will appreciate my business and will give me excellent customer service. I will shop with kind and nice people only.

I've been treated like the prime minister in the Michelin 3-star restaurants in London and Paris when I wear my made to measure suits and shirts from Covell. Believe me, the maitre d's appreciate stylish clients. No other place in town--not Andrisen Morton or Neiman Marcus--really have the right nuance of European styling like Lawrence Covell does. If you can afford the best, this is the only place between Chicago and LA to shop. Why go there Covell rates as the top anywhere.

Pros: European only, the best lines, savoir faire

In Short
Opened in 1967, Lawrence Covell was bringing European lines to Denver long before everyone else caught on. The staff here is knowledgeable and impeccably dressed. Located in a villa-styled shop in the heart of Denver's…
