Executive Coatings just finished a complex i live in Aurora, CO. We were moving in while they were working on our building and our first thoughts were less than spectacular only because we knew it would be a hassle moving furniture around them. Boy did they prove us wrong, they were courteous and professional and let us pass by quite often with no headache! Our complex looks great too! Thank You for a great experience!

Our townhome association in Aurora was recently renovated by Executive Coatings And Contracting, we are all responsible for the carpentry, but not the painting, so Executive Coatings was nice enough to give homeowner each a detailed proposal of each unit and the cost to replace damaged siding or any other wood before painting, the price was right, and it was done exactly as written on the proposal and in a timely manner. I had a few questions about the timeline of the project as when to leave my dog inside, Pete called us right back to let us know exactly when they would be at our unit and they finished just as promised. I know that the value of our property has gone up and I have never been happier with my home! Thank you Executive Coatings!

I rent an apartment in a large complex in Highlands Ranch that Executive Coatings painted this spring. I was not home during the process and the painters were kind enough to cover up my patio furniture and plants during the process and it was like they were not even there by the time I got home from work. There were no spills, messes or issues what so ever and our complex looks brand new!

I am a homeowner and boardmember at a Townhome Association in Littleton, CO. We have had Executive Coatings and Contracting doing phase painting and carpentry work at our association for the past three years and have just recently finished another phase. Over the past three years I have never witnessed a more professional, clean and organized contractor. As a homeowner it is nice to find comfort knowing your biggest asset is being treated and taken care of to the highest standard. They have always notified our homeowners to let them know when, where and what they would be doing on the building and the results have been nothing less than perfect. As a homeowner and board member, it is a no brainer to hire Executive Coatings And Contracting for your association.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The company painted half of our condo/townhome units in July and August. I agree 100% with the negative reviews. I just received a phone message from Jason McCool of Executive Coatings. I may return Mr. McCool's call, but I'm sick of wasting my time with this problem, and I resent the fact that I need to spend more time on it. Here are just a FEW of the problems. I'd need more than the maximum allowance of 5,000 words to share everything.

NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH. More importantly, they did a LOUSY JOB. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO SUPERVISION, NOR ANY ONE WHO APPEARED TO BE IN CHARGE. Painters painted randomly, and never indicated where there was wet paint. They would show up and paint part of the trim on the door, disappear, show up 2 days later (or 2 hours, or 2 weeks) and paint another bit of the same door trim, then come back later (hours, days, weeks) and paint the door trim that they didn't paint the first two times. This was how they worked the entire two months they were on our property. The person who did the power washing damaged the wood, and possibly damaged the roof we had replaced the week before Executive Coatings started. They refused to cover my patio furniture until I forced the painter to. I asked (tried to anyway) when they would be painting the patio, so I could move my furniture, but no response. They broke the light on my patio, and left the parts in the yard for nearly a week, until I moved them myself. I asked (pantomimed with Spanglish) them to fix it, but it never was. They would just nod, and then disappear. I would ask if there was someone who spoke English, but they said there wasn't. I've talked to my neighbors and they had the same types of experiences. Mr. McCool stated that he just learned of my problems today (2 months after the completion date), and wants to fix them. I've had enough of my time and money wasted by Executive Coatings, and resent having to take even more of my precious time to deal with fixing them, but I don't have much of a choice. Don't let your management company put your community through this. If they even MENTION THE POSSIBILITY OF HIRING EXECUTIVE COATINGS, STOP THEM COLD!!!

Also, I find it interesting that the positive reviews are from the President of the company, and a couple of property management companies. The negative reviews are from people who actually LIVE in the properties that Executive Coatings has painted. Hmm....

I am Jason McCool, President of Executive Coatings & Contracting, Inc. In response to L.B. and Anonymous: If you are really residents, of complexes that I have painted, and you're sure that you have the right company, pick up your phone and give me a call. My cell phone number is: 303-901-3830. Again, if these are real complaints, and I actually did work for you, along with my cell phone number, you also have my address. Please call me directly, and I will take care of any issues you might have, like I always do. When people act like adults, they pick up their phone and disccuss things. If you're never going to call me, only fire off complaints, how am I supposed to fix things?! By the way, L.D. had an issue with the colors of her complex. We don't choose colors. We paint. Why don't you fire off a nasty email to the management company about the colors. I can't do anything with you being unhappy with Executive Coatings if you do not let me know what the problem is. I CAN do something about you firing off false, ridiculous accusations about us using illegals and some of this other crap. So, I would be very careful if I were you. Again, please pick up your phone and give me a call so we can figure this out. This is mainly in response to L.D., since the Anonymous one was written so long ago. If this is one of my competitors writing in again, because they have nothing better to do, business is booming and I'm hiring. We can get you off the computer and back to work.

Executive Coatings was contracted to paint our condo units. They started at the beginning of October, painted three or four units, then vanished. This is what's left behind:

* weeks of total chaos
*Primer painted in stripes here and there but no base coat.
*No power washing of buildings - painters actually spray painted over massive clumps of spider webs
* Caulk used to patch rotting wood which was then painted over.
*Unfinished paint jobs - half the units aren't touched. Half have some work done. Not one unit is completed.
*What IS finished is so ugly as to be embarrassing. The trim is exactly the same color as the base paint. The numbers of the units are painted over etc.
* The workers provided no documentation, credentials and spoke nothing but Spanish.

The Tricolor door picture is a great example of what we ended up with. After 2 weeks of banging around the exterior, they began to paint the doors. However, they did not paint the edges. This was a project scheduled for 3 days later. After we canceled our plans for the follow up to allow them access to the doors, the company never showed up and in fact has not returned to the property since (now over 2 weeks absent). They have left the job not even half finished, and needlessly dragged out what little work was actually accomplished.

Do NOT hire this company.

I am Scott Alexander, the Construction Division Manager for Omni Apartment Communities, Inc.
First - The post by Greg G. below was not done by the actual Greg G., President of Omni! We are appalled that someone would log in and post something from us as us!
Second - We are a large property management company located throughout the front range of Colorado and have used Executive Coatings for many of our projects. They (Jason and all of his team) have provided us excellent service and quality on every project they have completed for us. They have always gone the extra mile (or two) to provide us a great final product! We have been using them for several years and anticipate doing so for many years to come! You get more then what you pay for! A lot more!

I am amazed at what is posted about Executive Coatings. They have a satisfied customer list from large HOA and Apartment management companies. I am well acquainted with Jason McCool and the repeat business he acquires each year is a testament to his professionalism and follow-thru with all paint projects. I will be more than happy to furnish qualified information upon request.

Executive Coatings will give you the cheapest bid in town. Unfortunately, that is why my company chose to use them. Three months into the project, we had to fire (a fisrt for our organization) Executive Coatings (Jason McCool) from our site. The work he promised to do - actually, the work he was CONTRACTED to do, was very poor. For example, on the wood replacement, they used non-galvanized nails to fasten the new wood to the buildings. We had major rust problems before the new wood was even primed!!! Granted, Jason McCool is a great salesman, just not a good painter. I would rank him up there with a snake oil, or car salesman. Additionally, as a woman, I was deeply offended when he sent in a half dressed sales person, with her breasts bursting out of her top. I would be very careful when considering Executive Coatings and Jason McCool. In my opinion, judging from the work they did, most of his painters were in Mexico the week before (no english here). Jason McCool is definitely the cheapest! and his work proves it!
