This was my second time at Jonesy's. The first time was for a smallish happy hour on wino Wednesday and I loved the feel of the place and the french fries so I decided to set up a larger happy hour a few weeks later. \r

The owner's of Jonesy's have successfully created a great spot. It is a neighborhood joint with great food, decent prices, an amazing beer selection, and stellar design... all without being pretentious or full of obnoxious hipsters.

The buffalo fries are wonderful, you have to try them! And the linguini dish we had was also great. The veggie sliders were decent, but it was really just goat cheese and some greens. We didn't taste any fig mayo, and they could have used a bit more soul. But overall, I loved Jonesy's and I will definitely be back!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. the food was not good, the prices were, and the serving size was small. I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich (11 bucks) and I was thinking i would get a sandwich with tons of ham - try again, there was ONE deli slice of ham. Don't waste your time.

If I could give a less then 1 star on this rating I would. A fan of its Painted Bench predecessor, I was eager to try Dish Bistro. I made reservations for my friend and I to have lunch on Sunday at 11:45. We arrived a few minutes early and checked in with the frantic hostess. We weren?t seated until 12:00. We immediately ordered a plate of the truffle fries to share (which were quite tasty) and it?s a good thing we did as we never got to eat lunch! We ordered our lunches just after our server brought our drinks. After 40 minutes with no sign of our food and no mention of it?s whereabouts from our server, we let him know that we were attending an event and needed to leave as close to 1:00 as we could. The stressed out server went to the kitchen and returned telling us that they ?yelled at him? and that our meal was third on the line and wouldn?t be moved up. Are you kidding me? He offered to go back and again and plead our case. At just about 1:00 the table sitting behind us, who arrived 10 minutes after we did, received their meals. That was the last straw. We told our server that we were leaving and he said he would go get our bill. Our bill? Really?? Get your act together Dish Bistro, or better yet, give that great restaurant space to people who will put it to good use.

I love going to the Dish Bistro for dinner, so imagine my excitement when I found out they just started opening for lunch!!! I went in with a couple of friends today, and was very happy with the lunch menu... Lovely sandwiches, pasta dishes, and salads... The prices are incredibly inexpensive for the amazing quality served up.. The staff is also really friendly.
Try them for lunch, try them for dinner, and try them for brunch!

Pros: Food, staff, ambience

Cons: None!

After being surprised with a Sunday birthday dinner at Dish, I was excited to see what this place had to offer. The ambience was very peculiar but fun, the only exception being the uncomfortable booth seats. Our service was mixed, wrong dish brought to the table, but extremely attentive. As far as the food goes, out of eleven dishes that we ordered, a few were memorable, including the roasted mushroom appetizer which was the highlight of the meal with its wide array of textures and earthy flavors. The $5 slider appetizer from their special Sunday list was ridiculous as it was one slider with mayonnaise and one slice of speck. I know of several area restaurants serving similiarly priced slider appetizers I would rather enjoy for the number and quality they offer. I was the only person of four to like their entree. I had the braised lamb shank with gnocchi. The lamb was succulent and tender, while the gnocchi was sweet and delicious if not a bit oversized. Avoid the duck, duck, goose dish as the whole mustard sauce that arrives with it overpowers all other flavors including the foie gras butter. Lastly, I did enjoy the sweet peach bread pudding, but how can you mess up bread pudding? Overall, this place really reminded me of several other Denver restuarants that are struggling to find flavors that blend well on a dish and please with their appearance, average overall.

Cons: presentation and flavors need a little help

This place use to be the Painted Bench, which had a good bar, but the food was never really better than average. Unfortunately The Dish continues that tradition.
The menu looks great, but the execution of the dishes leaves a lot to be desired. The cheese plate was a strange combination of flavors that didn't blend well. The pasta was over done and the salads weren't crisp. The food took a while for the simple things we ordered and it wasn't very busy. I think there were two other tables there on this early Wednesday night. The staff was pleasant and attentive, but nothing remarkable. The place looks a run down inside and is in need of a serious remodel. It's quaint, and could be good, but if this is shabby chic, they missed the chic.
