Gold Pan Restaurant is decent, but not great.

by Michael C.

The decor was right out of a wild west gun slinger saloon and the waitress was cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable about the bar's history. The breakfast was average diner food, not great, not bad. Very reasonably priced. Definetly not on the "must see" list, but if you are walking down Main Street and want to eat at a local place...try the Gold Pan.

Gold Pan Restaurant

by Patrick B.

Having worked at the Pan, you must understand that dogs are welcome inside/outside must people that live in Breck. have animals that manner and just lay down. They are not allowed in the kitchen. Depending on what you order it is cooked in a stone oven, and the breakfast is great. I can't speak for the bartender, there was no "she". Not sexist, there just wasn't one, and as far as using a chair that is unused, no big deal. Bar stools another matter. Don't pass up the chance to see the Pan, it is the only continuous running liq. license west of the Mississippi. You would think spelling Mississippi would be easy from someone who lives there. Had to check my license.

Great Atmosphere- Bad Bartender

by Elida G. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,145

Being the oldest saloon west of the Mississippi, we thought it would be cool to see. The female bartender however is coarse, rude and uninviting. If you want to experience an authentic western saloon where out of towners are unwelcome, visit the gold pan saloon. Make sure you don't move a table or chair for your large group without permission. They'll let you (and everyone else in the bar) know they don't like you touching the furniture. The booze is cheap and dogs are welcome, apparently.
