Wasted weekend.

Our Chevy S10 pick up was having electrical problems and died three times on Friday evening. Unfortunately, the closest place was Pep Boys in Wheatridge when it died the third time. We dropped it off and were told they would run diagnostics and give us a call to let us know what they found. We never heard back that night. Sat. morning they said the truck was ready, they had replaced the alternator. We picked it up that afternoon and paid the bill. Driving away we realized the problem wasn't fixed. We took it back in and they said they would try to diagnose and fix the electrical problem and if they couldn't, they would refund us the money since we never authorized the new alternator. The staff Saturday evening was nice enough. We came back a few hours later, they had not found the problem. Our dash board was opened up so we waited while they put it back together. They said they couldn't refund our cash that night because a manager wasn't there. My husband went back in Sunday morning for his refund and they made him wait while they took out their alternator and put his back in. He waited for three hours. When he started the truck it now makes a new, horrible noise upon starting. He was too frustrated to deal with the store again so I called the store when he got home. The manager on duty, Jessie, started off by telling me he would need to charge me for the diagnostics done Saturday night, when I finally got the whole story out about the new noise created by their work, he said he must not have tightened the belt and we should bring it back in AGAIN. He said other than that he couldn't help me and he hung up on me. DO NOT EVER GET SERVICE AT THIS STORE!!!! They do not know what they are doing and they will refuse to admit this.

Terrible Experience
by Christine F.
First visit to Pep Boys Wheatridge for an oil change and will be the last visit.Worst, unfriendly customer service ever. I was told to pull into service center for an oil change, after waiting 5 minutes in my vehicle I was approached and asked what I needed and was told they could not change oil for another two hours. I left and came back early morning 8:30am next day and was told it would not be possible to change oil as there were not service attendants in to change my oil. I wasn't offered a time to come back or any positive communication regarding my oil change. Pepboys has the audacity to call this area a Service Center. I am employed by the largest apartment management/owner in the country and if we dare treat our customers in this manner, there would be no way we would be in business!! or even have a job as we take customer service very seriously. No recommendations here.
