I have brought pictures of my rooms to get advice on paint colors from some of the staff at Belcaro Paints. I love the small vials to test the colors at home, The quality of the paints they sell is top notch. I love the small size store, fast service, great people and location. Great for the do-it-your-selfer.

Belcaro Paint can give you better advice than a huge national chain store, and they have a wide selection of paint and decorating supplies. The staff is friendly and forthright, and you can buy sample bottles of the paint colors you're considering.

We always turn to Belcaro Paint & Decorating Center when we are looking to put a new coat on the walls. They have a great selection, staff, and facility (including paint supplies and wallpaper.) My favorite thing about Belcaro is their small vial sample sizes. I can take 10 different shades of beige home and not feel guilty for spending a fortune.

I recently went back to Belcaro Paint & Decorating after using several other paint stores or big hardware store for my paint projects. I had a specific question to ask, What water based clear coating can I use for a new hot tub? I had been told to use a marine spar varnish or Thompson's waterseal. Both I had used before, not on a hot tub, and hated the finish I received with them. Asking John on what to use, he first suggested a Benjamin Moore water based acrylic, but did some research for me and recommended a different product because what he first suggested would of caused the hot tub cedar to turn white. I turely appreciate his extra effort, otherwise I would be having to strip and re-coat within the year. He went above and beyond in getting me the right product.

As first-time homeowners, my fiance and I chose to shop at Belcaro for our house-painting project. We wanted top-of-the line paint and the customer service to go along with the money we'd be spending. At first, Belcaro seemed like the perfect mom-and-pop business to patronize, but as we spent more money and moved forward with our project, we realized that our money would be better spent elsewhere--and would go farther too! They were only helpful when my fiance was with me--never when I was by myself or with a female friend. Their color consultants must not have experience with exterior paint or with the historic homes of many Denver neighborhoods, as the colors they recommended were completely off-base and ridiculous for our 1925 bungalow. Of course, once you purchase paint of any color from them, you cannot exchange it or return it. We brought our architect and used her discount to buy paint--but when we finally went elsewhere (& vowed to never shop there again), we found that it was cheaper to buy the paint at True Value Hardware--same exact product & cheaper even than it was with the architect's discouunt. Not to mention, the customer service at the hardware store was 1,000 times better. We will NEVER go back to Belcaro. If you want Benjamin Moore paint, go to True Value Hardware on Colfax. If you want color consultants, go to Guiry's--or hire a professional.
