Great service on a tight schedule and budget. Yeah - InsiderPages gave me the option to rate this place WorldClass and I will. They stayed late to take our laptop in, fixed it in two and a half days, ordered the part we needed in overnight and I'm back on the road only out about $100 for the fix. Pretty darn good if you ask me. No - actually, WorldClassy

I am just an old lady living on fixed income. My computer would not turn on, so I took it to one of the big-box stores. They told me it would cost at least $300 to fix -- told me it was a bad motherboard, whatever that is. Too much for me.

You must be related or the owner? I have a LAN management degree as well as a few certificates in the IT related field. So I know a few things about hardware and software. The truth is these people pass themselves off as being educated in respects to their business when obviously not. The owner even showed interest in hiring me after I let them know of my education. I politely replied no thank you, as I thought F/U! Their business ethic is extremely wanting; as well as, not being intelligent enough to know a lot of business comes from return customers and word of mouth. My time is money as well and I find it worth my time to spends some know.

I'm very surprised that this guy is still in business! After reading the other reviews, I found many similarities to my experience. I was in the process of building my own computer and had stopped in to see what motherboards he had in stock. What he had wasn't quite what I was looking for and I decided to go elsewhere. The owner immediately began cursing at me as I headed to the door! He definitely has some issues... I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

I've had the very same experiences with them, I bought a used motherboard from them to replace one in my own PC that had developed some problems. I was assured that it worked, and it had a note taped to it that said "Tested good." I took them at their word, paid for the motherboard, was told "no returns" but reassured that it worked fine. I got it home, and it was dead. Wouldn't even power up. The only thing they stand behind is their "no returns" policy...

I was rudely hung up on after the person who answered the phone called my husband "Greedy" when I told him we saw a laptop in the paper for $450 and asked how much a used one with the same components would cost me. He wouldn't even give me the answer to my question. This man has some serious mental health problems.

My name is Brian Winsler and I've been a customer of Axess for some time. I needed a backlight for my laptop screen and found exactly what I needed at Axess. Nobody else in town has these things. I just happened to read some of the stuff on this page and thought that the guys at Axess don't really need this kind of crap. I guess if you can write something anonymously you don't really have to tell the truth. Axess has always treated me fairly and honestly. They have been in business at the same location forever. They must be doing something right.

I have been dealing with these guys for years. I started buying stuff there because I can get parts as cheap as I can online from places like pricewatch and such but without having to pay the shipping. Yes, they are real geeks and not the best in sales and kissing up to the customers like you would get at bestbuy or someplace. But depends on what you want and if you know what you are looking for. I like to get the BEST PRICE on my parts.

Pros: Low Prices on Parts

Cons: Need to know what you are doing

I have been doing business with these folks for over 10 years. What I like is they always have what I need at a reasonable price. The other thing I find great is their knowledge of computers. I had 2 pcs fixed there. One took just two days. The other took about a week, but that was because they needed to order a part. They have always treted me great.

I hate to admit this but I actually worked at Axess Computers for a year (It took me that long to figure out his agenda) and would like to reveal his TRUE policies and procedures, which are the reasons why I left. Let me also say that I also understand cost and overhead. Another thing that I would like to say is that all of these reviews have been posted AFTER I quit Axess Computers and I did not work on the actual machines and have seen the work done by his shop recently on a laptop that was brought to me and there are things that I would NEVER do. Here are his policies spelled out:
#1. If you buy it it is yours. NO RETURNS!
#2. All things under warranty have to be sent to the factory, causing a delay of 2-3 months to get your part back.
#3. Advertise $60 an hour for service but actually charge $120-$180 per hour, since it is never verifiable. (see review by Matthew K.)
#4. If the customer LOOKS like they might dispute a charge, they MUST pay cash. (see review by Matthew K.)
#5. The customer is always wrong.
#6. If a customer can't find an item anywhere else, remove the price tag and sell it to him higher.
#7. Try to get around the warranty on custom built computers any way I can.

I would not do this so I decided to quit, rather than have a bad reputation on my name. I also have NEVER visited his shop since as I can get better warranties, better prices etc. from MicroCenter. My advice. STAY AWAY!

I think the owner may have some serious issues. I was there for a speciality adapter and after asking a few questions in an attempt to figure out if what he had was what I needed, he oddly got very angy and ultimately refused to sell me the adapter. Don't waste your time here, they apparently don't want any business. It didn't surprise me to read the other reviews here after my 10 minute experience in the store.

Rude, deceitful and incompetent.

AXESS computers of Thornton replaced the hard drive on our laptop computer for $380. The hard drive failed and I took the computer back. AXESS initially refused to recognize the 1 year warranty. After showing them my original invoice they finally conceded and told me they would call me in a couple of days. After four days and 3 messages, I finally spoke with an employee that informed me they would replace the hard drive for no cost and for $15 they could attempt transferring the data from the defective hard drive to the external hard drive I provided. I authorized the $15 transfer. Two days later I called back and they told me they couldn't transfer the data and replacing the hard drive would take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. After asking them about other options, I gave them permission to replace the hard drive and waited patiently for their call.

Approximately 1 month later, I returned to the store to pick up my computer. I waited 40 minutes before being acknowledged by the owner. After looking up my account, he told me it would cost $225. I politely told him there must be a mistake, described the circumstances of the service request and asked him to explain the charges. He become defensive and stated ??We offer only estimates, not actual quotes.? I was frustrated with the unanticipated inflation of the quote, but remained patient and asked for a breakdown of the costs. The owner said he didn??t have a detailed invoice off hand and I would need to return tomorrow.

When I returned, I was ignored for 30 minutes before the owner snapplishly stated ??It??ll be $135.? I told him I recognized that his time was valuable but still struggled to understand the cost and would appreciate a detailed invoice. The owner replied, ??I??ll do this one f--g time and that??s it!?? He disappeared for 5 minutes and came back with a small sheet of paper on which he had scribbled 3 different charges, totaling $90, for unsuccessful attempts to transfer the data, a $20 fee for loading the operating system software, and a $25 intake fee, which he explained was for dealing with my ??bull--?. I repeated that I recognized his time was worth money, but that his employee told me it took only a few minutes to attempt to transfer the data. He replied ??I??m tired of explaining this f-- bill. You find his [the employee] a-- and have him do it!? I remained patient, telling him that I was a professional and a Christian and would not speak to him rudely. Gritting his teeth, he responded ??Well I??m not! You can either pay the $135 or leave the computer. I don??t f-- care.? After several unsuccessful attempts to diffuse the situation, I offered to pay the bill. He then refused to take a check or the credit card I had paid him with previously. I told him I would appreciate if he took the payment because I was late and needed to go home to my wife, who was 9 months pregnant. He said ??I don??t care about your time or your pregnant f-- wife.? Not wanting to drag out the interaction or contend with his belligerence, I offered to go to an ATM and return with the cash in 10 minutes, but he said he was about to close and (it was 3:45 pm on a weekday). I decided to leave, but before walking out of the door told him he left me no choice but to report this to the Better Business Bureau.

My wife went to the store the following day with $135 in cash, and, regrettably, the owner was also rude to her, although refraining from the profanity and vitriole he unleashed on me. After paying him the money, which he spent several minutes scrutinizing as if my wife were a criminal, he hastily showed her our laptop and she left. When I checked the computer that night, the audio was no longer functional and the screen brightness faded in and out unpredictably. Additionally, the external hard drive that we provided them for the transfer of data no longer functions.

Very poor customer service. Promise 3 days and take more than 2 weeks. Went in to buuy items in thier advertisement in Computeredge, and the old guy was clueless. Would not honor price in ad, and said he knew nothing of it. They are awful and only sell cheap products, do not go there, spend few bucks more and go somewhere else.
