I will never go anywhere else again. Not only do they match the competition on price, they beat them. Plus, they gave me the better brake pads for less than the other place wanted to charge me for the cheapo pads. They did my rear brakes

I took my car to Brakes Plus for an oil change. We did the oil change + 5k service. Brakes Plus told me a few things that could be fixed on my car, including: new hoses, fix the power steering line, power wash my engine, new wheel barring, and new struts. The total cost to fix this was around $2,000. We decided to just go with the new wheel barring. Once they were finished, I got into my car to drive away and noticed the "service engine soon" light was on. We went to notify the employee since it was not on when we brought it to them. He checked it and said it was giving him a code stating the transmission solenoid was bad. He reset the check engine code because he said it would not have been a problem with what they had fixed. The next day the light came back on and my car was not driving correctly. It was not constant at the time, but started happening more frequently as I drove it. I took it back to them a week after my oil change. They drove the car around the block, then 4 smoke breaks and an hour later they told us they didn't really know what was wrong with the car, but that they were 100% sure that it was not their fault, it was a freak coincidence that the car came into the shop fine, but left with problems. Then they said, "We did not even touch the transmission fluid or anything to do with the transmission." I then asked, "Isn't it in the package we purchased for you to check the fluid?" He responded with, "Oh, well, yeah, we checked it, but.." After he had nothing else to say, I asked, "So, you did touch it?" He responded with, "Yes, but we didn't mess with anything else." I feel completely ripped off and do not think that this was some "freak coincidence". The car has never shown transmission problems the entire time we have owned the vehicle, but within minutes of getting our oil changed from Brakes Plus (I did not even leave my parking spot) there is now a potential $1,000 issue with the car's transmission. I believe they either made a mistake they can't admit, are trying to rip us off, or they are lying to us. Regardless, we now have to either pay them to fix it, or probably find a different shop to remedy the problem.

I would NEVER recommend any one to go to Brakes Plus!!!!

When another Brakes Plus store's technicians misdiagnosed a camber problem, this very experienced alignment technician determined that there was no camber problem and no costly repair was needed. Instead there was just a minor toe-in situation easily corrected. Hat's off to the proficiency of this store's technicians obviously earning my repeat business.

Pros: Very competent, informative, professional, and congenial

Cons: Sometimes very busy necessitating a wait
