I only go here because unfortunately it is the closest Indian grocery store to where I live. It is overpriced, not very fresh, and the dvds are all pirated and crappier quality than the old VHS tapes we used to watch back in the 80s. But if you ask, they are all "good print." I've even bought a DVD (though I knew it was pirated...shame on me!) that turned out to be blank! No refund!! I think it's worth it to make the drive out to Sathvik Foods, but unfortunately don't get to do that too often. The only saving grace of this store is that they have a decent selection of regional food items.

I recently went to Indus exports and vowed to myself that I will never go there again. 90% of the stuff out on shelves are well past due dates ( lets say, pickles have 2004 expiry date). Its too pricey as well. A pack of almost spoilt curry leaves is sold for $2.

I am not sure if this is the standard in denver! I recently moved from the Dallas area, and I did realize , I cannot expect the same as in Dallas. But ive lived in cities like Nashville, where there isnt a lot of indian population, but the stores are much better than here!!

I have not been to other stores yet..but I will never go to Indus Exports again!!

Indus Imports has been around and serving the needs of Indophiles and food fanatics for a long time; they were the first Indian food store in the area, originally located on Broadway. Not only is their collection of ready-to-eat merchandise extensive, the store owners are very happy to get any specific item you want that they do not stock at the moment. They carry the staples like the dals and various rices as well as fresh vegetables and videos of Indian movies.

Though the name doesnt explicitly mention it, Indus imports is a grocery store where you can get all Indian grocery items. The rates are reasonable and the store is stocked very well. The store also has a separate section for DVDs where you can rent Indian DVDs (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu language movies).

It's an Indian grocery store where you can get all the Indian groceries, spices, snacks and Indian sweets. All items are well organized and fresh. And you will get all latest release of Hindi, Tamil and Telugu DVDs and video cassettes. You will also get all types of frozen items. The rates are better when compared to other Indian grocery stores in town.
