I'm rather confused by some information I got from a clerk at Yellow Cab. I asked for the fare cost between two points, and was told that the cost would be between $34-$39. I then asked about their mileage rates, and was told there was a

I will only use Yellow. They are the only company who seems to monitor their drivers. I had a horrible situation in a Yellow once where the driver made a move on me late one night. I contacted Yellow Cab and they told me the situation will be taken care of immediately. I promised I would never use them again until I found that same driver working for Union a week later and once again he tried to pull the same crap! When I called to complain, Union did not do a thing! It is absolute crap that if a driver acts up with one company, he can just move on to the next company and keep acting like a fool! I understand that the drivers are contracted and it is really the luck of the draw but I feel a little more protected in a Yellow Cab. I use cabs on a regular basis and I always feel more comfortable in a Yellow Cab late at night then any other taxi service.

Waited another half hour while my groceries were defrosting and called again, the dispatcher said I don't know what happened I will see if I can get you a driver. Took a Cab from DIA on Mar 28 after a long international trip. The cab was dirty but the driver nice so I gave him a good tip.
A couple days later I noticed he ran the charge thru twice. Reported it to the credit card company immediately but I am still waiting for the refund.

Called for a cab this morning at 9:15 up in the Denver foothills. Apparently either dispatch or most drivers thought the town was somewhere in Montana. I waited an HOUR before calling asking the status. Meantime, my expected time at work had come and gone and I had to call someone else to open up the shop. Lost customers as a result. Dispatch said "oh, I'll call him again." Asked the driver if it was his first call or if he'd been notified previously - he'd just gotten the call - at least he had the decency to phone and ask me to wait that he would take care of me! Their service is ROTTEN - they had my phone number, as mentioned by another, why not have someone call once they've picked up the message? Don't they do any sort of follow-up on their requests?

Thank God I have an understanding boss. I sure won't be calling them directly ever again.

I used yellow cab about a year ago and they are still charging my debit card. They did this twice after the original transaction took place. When I try to call and dispute it I only get a voicemail and no one calls me back. The only way to get this to stop is to cancel my debit card and get a new number. I will NEVER use this company again!

I was driving home from work on i-225 heading toward the parker exit last night around midnight (technically 12/9) in the snowstorm & a yellow cab driver was trying to pass me, flashing his lights & following so close there wasn't even 5 feet of space between us. Granted at the time I was in the left lane, just as I was about to get into the right lane so he could pass, he swerves into the lane I'm about to get in, (thank god I was paying attention otherwise he would've rear-ended me) & is driving so fast in that lane that he's swerving all over the place clearly going way too fast than the car can handle to be driving at a SAFE SPEED, which is putting himself & others around him in danger, especially in a snow storm, at night, when the highway hadn't even been cleared yet! You think that someone in that profession would know better & care, but apparently not. It's really disappointing to be involved with that kind of road rage when driving is their profession!! I've never used this cab's services (and probably never will because of this instance) but if its anything like how they drive then it must be horrible!!

Cons: They stink, over-charge, and are always late.

Come to find out, I waited for 40 minutes in the cold before they arrived. At 15 minutes past the pickup time, I called and was told that they cannot guarantee their drivers will be there on time, but that my driver would arrive in 5 minutes. At 30 minutes after the arranged pick up time, they told me the driver was 5 minutes away... again. Only after I canceled and got a "Sorry, ma'am," did the driver get there 10 minutes after I hung up with them. Public transportation proved to be more reliable in my case, even if I was late to my appointment.

I don't know who wrote the previous review, probably someone working for this company, but this cab company isn't all that great. If you need to be somewhere by a specific time, it doesn't matter how in advance you plan, THEY DON'T GUARANTEE A DARN THING! My advice is to either arrange public transportation, or pay the extra money and get some other kind of ride service that can guarantee a little more driver commitment.

The driver was an older man who had been driving for 30 years or so. He had a college degree but choose to drive a cab because of the job flexibility and the ability to assist others. He gave me his business card and I now call him directly anytime I need him. He is always there on time and when he is not able to pick me up, he has another driver show up. Over the years I found out how the industry works and I will never complain about a cab driver again. What I have found out that all the good drivers personalize their business. They do not need to go to hotels or chase calls because they make enough money serving their own private customer base. I suggest when you find one of these drivers, you hold on to him. They are very hard to find but from my experience, Yellow has most of them.
