You might not believe this...this store does not permit women to bring their purse inside the store! Because, as the sign says...things have been going missing from the store. Not a direct accusation, of course. But, I got the implication. If you have a purse in the store, as I did, you will be asked to leave. Don't ask for a phone number or the name of the manager...the employees on duty do not know that. Women shopping without purses...sounds like dogs and cats playing together.

I have to say, being new to the area, this was the worst experience in my life. 1st visit: walked in with my wife, who was carrying her COACH bag, to purchase 3 bottles of wine that I called ahead to order... upon arrival wife was stopped

First time in this store today. We went there because Power Liquor Mart didn't have Boag's beer. SLO didn't either but I didn't expect them to, its kind of an imported speciality.
First impression was that they have had security problems since I had to send my wife back to the Jeep with her purse.
Suggestion: pull out the broken carts. Not that many people use the carts anyway, and having to go through four of them before finding one that we could use was a little annoying. Went through the store aisle by aisle and looked at all the wares. Seemed to have a good selection of the every day run of the mill wine, liquor, whiskey and beer as well a fairly well thought out selection of not so common.
I was in the store for about an hour or so and I was approached by no less than four employees to see if I was finding everything I needed. We selected a bottle of Chambord vodka but had no idea how to drink it or what to do with it. The employee we talked to was informative and helpful. SLO does carry a brand of beer that many other stores in town don't (Arrogant Bastard).
All in all we purchased about $100 worth and was offered a membership on check out. The owner was very pleasant to us and boxed our items and helped us to the door.
I will be going back...I gave SLO four stars instead of five because when I asked one employee if they had BOAG beer, he did try to find it, but he didn't offer to order it. I would have gladly paid up front for a special order. I don't know if SLO does special orders but if they did, they would have my business for good.
Was very happy with my visit...and I would gladly recommend it to any of my friends. In fact I already have.
I don't have any whiny friends or friends who are too good for a warehouse environment so they will all give it a try. We are more than happy to accomodate whatever security the store owner feels is necessary to keep her prices down and her customers safe.

This place truly does not do Colorado Springs any favors. I personally can not wait until it goes under. I have seen the (I am assuming) owner, (the lady with the grey hair), yelling at people, (both customer and employee) and their customer service lacks in every sense of the word. The helpful people no longer work the...re. You would think that by having such a large (and probably outdated and expired) inventory, their prices would be better than the corner store 3 blocks from my house. But, they're not. I can find many of the same items cheaper at the smaller stores (including the newly released products) as well as better sales. This store has the same sales over and over and over. I've seen these products at better NON SALE prices than the discount here. Their prices continue to rise and they can't even get their heads on striaght as far as their discounts, it was 20% then 15%, then 20 what's the deal? THERE IS NONE!!!!. I for now will go ANYWHERE except these stores

This is a great liquor store! We live on the west side and try to stop in anytime we are out east. An awesome wine selection and there is always someone there to help you pick out just the right wine for any occasion. And they don' t try to up sell you either. They can recommend some great inexpensive ones. They also have a great frequent buyer discount program.
