I was ripped off by this company when they replaced the part in my refrigerator with the right part, but WRONG BRAND. The only problem with these folks is that they blatently lie to you about having done anything wrong, when their own technician showed me both parts and the difference.
I am sure they will log in and tell you that this is not the case, so believe what you want. But I know the truth in the matter - be VERY cautious when using this company. If they screw something up, they will not even so much as apologize - let alone refund the money for the terrible service.

I am being suied for around $8500 for supposed training that I recieved from Action Appliance over 2 years ago. The traing was supposed to be a 6 month course but was moved to tech status after 3 months. They tell you that you will be making good money upon completing the training but I went from $8 while training to $10 when I became a tech. The training was very shotty. I never received any kind of certificate that I completed any type of course or anything. While I was "training" I was expected to complete their dryer vent cleanings which was making the company money. Once you complete 1 or 2 dryer vent cleanings, it becomes obvious what to do. If anybody has had a similar experience, please email me at sixteyfour@yahoo.com as I have a court date 8/24/09 and I could use a witness to stop this travesty.

Action Appliance came to fix my washing machine. After replacing a flow meter, pressure switch and control board on two separate visits over two weeks, it still gave the same error code with the same problem. A new technician was sent out and found that the filter was plugged with a few pencils and pens. After taking them out, it worked great. They refuse to refund me for all the parts they put in and the labor they charged me to do it. I offered to let them put back in the parts that they took out, as I still have them, but they won't and are extremely rude on the phone. I had a similar experience as the other reviews as far as trying to talk to the owner. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and will dispute the charge on my credit card. This is not my first bad experience with them, but certainly my most expensive and most definitely my last. Do not use this company, and tell everyone you know not to use them.

I have been a customer of Action Appliance for many years. Every experience I have had with the technicians or the office staff has been nothing less than expected. They operate rather quickly and the same day I call with a problem, they have a technician at my door. I would never dream of using an unfamiliar company when I know exactly what to expect from Action. I recommend them to all my friends, family and anyone I hear needs something fixed in their home. Before using Action Appliance, everyone in my family used Sears. And let me tell you one thing, the service they provide is 100% better in my eyes than Sears. Trying to get Through their automated line was hard enough. I always get a live person when I call Action. I also called one time after 6pm and they were still able to get me on the schedule and with no extra charge. Im sorry but if thats a bad business, I guess bad is good.

I use to work for these guys. they have you sign on for two years while they train you (ha). most new trainees do the vent cleaning while other techs do the repairs. I was privy to how they work and let me tell you out of maybe 30 techs they have half of them really know what they are doing. I spent more time on the phone with the office than I did repairing the appliance. They run their company like the military. They give you a little training and then send you out into the public to fix stuff you have never worked on. OJT is what it is called and you either get it right or not. I even went to calls a so called seasoned tech was at and fixed their mess. Once I figured out their operation I quit and they kept my last pay check. Told me it would be reimbursement for the training. The only excuse they should have for not fixing an appliance the first time is the part is not available.By the way Kimball Jordan in the main man and it is a family business. They all own large pieces of property east of town (10 acres or more) Kimball's wife drives a Caddy (new ).

They charged me $250 to change a fuse. They had a 500% mark up on the parts, and charged almost $100 dollars an hour for the "technician". When I called to ask why I was charged this much, the person on the phone blatantly told me that they hide their operating costs in part mark-ups.

We called Action to repair a Whirlpool dishwasher. After 6 visits, 4 different techs, and $400, our dishwasher was still broken. We talked to Ashley in their office who was very rude and refused to tell us her boss's name, where they were located, who the president of the company was, etc. We wanted a refund before the 4th tech came out for visit # 6 and Ashley asked me if I would apologize after this tech repaired the dishwasher?@!#?!!! My husband finally talked to John, the "president" (not true, fyi), and he called my husband sarcastic names such as "sport", "ace", "pal", not to mention "jerk". He yelled at my husband and was very rude and disrespectful. The bottom line is we have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have since learned there are 96 complaints against Action Appliance in the last 3 years, 49 of which were in the last 12 months. They have lost their accreditation standing with BBB as of 8/8/08. This is the worst company we have ever dealt with, but hopefully the BBB will help us get our money back. Be ware - Don't call Action!!!!

I paid them 54.95 to tell me it would cost 300 to repair a 100 machine. I found another company who fixed it for me for 115 which included parts labor and trip.

I want to let you know of a company to avoid at all costs when it comes to appliance repair.
Action Appliance Inc.
2290 Chambers Road
Aurora, CO 80011
Phone: (303) 366-1950 Fax: (303) 366-1697
http://www.actionapplianceinc.com/index.html
Their e-mail link does not work....I tried. Figures. I called them to look at our dishwasher.
Service call $30.00
Diagnosis $24.95, of bad control board.
THEIR Price quoted for board, $179.79 + tax
Bought new control board from Arvada Appliance for $71.08
Savings?? $108.71 !!!
Replaced it myself. DW still doesn't work.
Called Arvada Appliance, the original place of purchase and installer, to re-diagnose. Good Control board, bad door latch. Arvada Appliance returns a few days later, problem fixed in 20 minutes.
ACTION APPLIANCE'S response to my inquiry?? 'Amber' says, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do."
When I asked for an e-mail that works, 'Amber' says, she "does not have access to that information."
When I asked if I could speak to a manager, 'Amber says, "sorry, there's no one in the office."
Be sure to tell 'Amber' how 'helpful' she was.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LET THEM KNOW, THAT THIS E-MAIL HAS BEEN SENT TO EVERYONE I KNOW, EVERYONE YOU KNOW, AND EVERYONE THEY KNOW!! (303) 366-1950
I appreciate your help, just thought I would let you know. Don't use these sheisters.
