I have been going to see Richard for a little over a year now and every time I leave his chair i feel like a million dollars. I have pin straight hair and he always gives it such a beautiful, lasting shape that I feel like I should be in a shampoo commercial. He knows how to make you look great and give you exactly what you want. Richard gets an A++ from me!

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now and I finally am, sorry it is so overdue. Candace is not only a sweetheart but she knows how to make anyone feel beautiful, not just from the outside either but she has a lot of great things to say and is always positive. She is one hairdresser who will give you her honest opinion and doesn't talk so much B.S. like so many do! Thanks to her I have gained confidence in myself and get compliments on my hair cut and color often.
If you want someone with a warm and fuzzy heart, someone who is positive and won't rip you off GO SEE CANDACE POST!!!

I have tried so many other salons in Denver, and it seems like almost all the other salons in Cherry Creek. The environment at Hot Heads is really welcoming and stylish. I went to see Richard for a cut and color and he did not disappoint. The price was comparable to anywhere else in Cherry Creek and he worked pretty quickly, but what really impressed me is that he gave me lots of options for styling my hair from business to funky depending on my mood. I'm really happy with my new do and I plan to return!

Alex is a bright, vibrant stylist! Her easy going manner and exuberant attitude make her a true delight to be around. She is an artist; continually expanding her knowledge base by attending classes all around the country. She is a great communicator that works with her clients to do what they want; but, will tell you if she thinks you are headed down the wrong path. I have been to stylists all over the Eastern and Midwestern United States and in Toronto, Canada, and she is one of the best I?ve had the good fortune to know. She is committed to her profession and to staying on top of the latest trends. I highly recommend her to my friends and anyone looking for a wonderful stylist!

I came in with my 14 year old daughter for a color repair. My daughter has been coloring her hair DARK brown for 2 years. She is a natural blond and wanted to return to her natural color befor her first year of high school. We made an appointment with Candace Post. She was so sweet and spent 5 hours gently bringing back my babies blond hair. She was so careful not to damage her hair any further. Not only did the color turn out beautiful she also gave her a great hair cut and style. Lets just say the last person who cut her hair butchered it!! Thank you Candace for helping my little girl start school feeling beautiful and confident!!! I would travel far for your services agian!

If you're like me, you do not have unlimited funds, but I'm telling you, save up and go see Alex for extensions! She is diligent, patient, confident (since she knows what she's doing), and is a person you would have fun spending a few hours with while she is transforming you into a gorgeous new person! I do have to watch my budget very carefully, yet, I know I will do extensions again even if I would have to live on noodles for a month! The best part is looking at your "before" picture right afterwards; you will wonder how you even drove to the salon that day with your old hair. I was also very worried that my husband (to whom this was a complete surprise last night) would not like it, but he absolutely loved my new look and even with an eye for catching imperfections, could not believe how real it looks...

If extensions are not your thing - visit Alex for a hair cut or color. She constantly updates herself and is very talented. I promise you she will be "your stylist" for everything you might need from day one... I could not be happier!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I go to Richard who always gives me exactly what I want. He is especially great if you bring a picture of what you want. He is really honest and doesn't try to sneak in extra charges for dumb things like 'conditioning treatment'. He really knows hair and has made mine look healthier than ever. I have been to a lot of salons, and in my opinion, this is the only one worth the money.

After my haircut with Alex my hair pretty much styles itself. I am really low maintainance so I know when when I get a great haircut and it has been awhile until Alex cut it. She is really fun and made me feel comfortable. I sat in her chair and she immediately knew what to do. I think I may even let her color it! I have told all my friends and family about her. Alex is a life saver! It's really sad when you have been highlighting your hair for years and you never realized how fake it looked until you switch to a professional hair stylist/colorist. It's even sadder when you realized how much you were overpaying all of these years for such mediocre work.

Alex really knows what she is doing! It's very hard for me to shut-up and just listen to what my hairdresser is recommending. Since switching to Alex (about five months now), I have gotten so many compliments on my hair color...from friends asking me for Alex's number who have never even expressed interest in [blonde] highlighting their (like mine) dark brown hair...to a random man at a restaurant coming over to tell me that I had beautiful hair (this is a true story!).

I will never switch from Alex....I wouldn't risk it...not even for Ken Paves!!

If you are seeking a life changing experience, or even if you don't know you are, then please do yourself a favor, and GO SEE ALEX! I look forward to reading your rave review afterwards. You can thank me later!

I walked in with high expectations of this salon based on the glowing reviews I read on Citysearch. I wish I could turn back time, because I would have saved myself over $175 and the trauma of having utterly destroyed hair only a few months before my wedding. Not only did I bring several pictures of myself displaying the specific color I desired, but I talked at length with the stylist, Raymond. What I got was SHOCKINGLY over-processed yellow hair of a hue that is not found in nature. I could have easily bought an $8 box of bleach and it would looked more natural than the tacky, embarrassing color I was left with. When I insisted that the color was wrong, I was told by the stylist that it would "darken" over time and he said, "You asked for blonde and that's what I gave you." I asked him to fix it and was charged for a treatment that was completely unsuccessful-- he even agreed that it did nothing to fix the problem but charged me for it anyway. He would not correct my hair further because he was "busy" and turned me away literally in tears. I am still in shock that he treated me with no regard whatsoever when he obviously ruined my color and refused to correct the problem that day. His audacity, rudeness, and lack of compassion is unparalleled in my eyes and I cannot believe I was still charged the full amount. After coming home and showing my outraged fiance the results, I called the salon back and a true darling of a stylist took pity on me and offered to fix the damage for free. I walked out with normal-looking hair again and my tears dried, but I have not had hair in this poor condition in my life. The second stylist, Candace, was an absolute miracle worker, very talented, and very sweet, and my rating for her is five stars based on her caring attitude and willingness (and ability) to help. I can only hope with several months of expensive deep conditioning and babying, my hair will return to a normal state in time for my wedding.

I've been a loyal Hot Heads client for almost two years now, and Alex has always been my girl since I found her through her AMAZING reviews here on Citysearch. I had to come back to tell everyone just how fantastic she really is. I'm currently 7 months pregnant with twin boys, and on strict home bed rest for the next 6 weeks, and was so bummed that I had to cancel my appointment to see Alex last weekend. When I had to call her to cancel, without hesitation she offered to come to my house to give me the haircut I so desperately needed! She even offered to do color, too, but unfortunately I can't be sitting in a chair for that long right now. She just left a few minutes ago, and I can't even begin to explain how great I feel - there is just nothing better than a great haircut and blowout from the best stylist in Denver. Seriously. I've felt so "blah" since being released from the hospital, and this was EXACTLY the pick-me-up I needed.

I have been to several high-end salons in the Denver Metro area, and never really felt like the salon and/or stylist really cared that much about me. Hot Heads is different, and Alex is most certainly different - in a good way. She is always so caring, fun, spunky, and she knows what's "hot" now, and I just love that about her. I guarantee you that no other stylist I've seen in Denver would have ever offered to make a house call for a haircut, and that's why Alex has a client for life. I'm off bed rest on March 10th, and have already booked my color and haircut appointment for March 11th - I can't wait!

I have finally found my stylist. Alex is fun, energetic and extremely knowledgeable with hair. I have had bad haircut after bad haircut after horrible haircut! I have very fine unmanageable hair. I feel like it never looks good. The second I sat in Alex's chair I got good vibes. The salon is great and upbeat, and its always a good time. My hair is better than ever and I give all my thanks to Alex. I have found my new favorite salon and Stylist! Thanks a MILLION ALEX!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work!

I found Candace on this site. I have been looking for the right stylist for sometime now. I read about her through all the wonderful review. I will tell yo everyone of them are RIGHT!!!! I felt comfortable from the moment I called to make the appointment. She has a very welcoming smile and makes you feel like you have known her for years. Trust me I never feel that way when trying someone new for my hair. Anyhow I will tell everyone about her. She is an amazing colorist and cutter. Go see Candace you will never want a new stylist again.

Hot Heads Salon is an amazing place, it's filled with friendly faces and amazing staff. I always go to Ashely Steele, she knows how to get my color just right and I have naturally curley hair , so I'm extremely picky about it. After she cuts my hair it looks so healthy , I feel like one of those girls from a hair comercial. I would recomend Ash to any one. She really knows what will look good, and I know I can trust her.

My hair is so thankful of finding Alex. Every stylist I have ever been to has wanted to make my grey, blonde! I didn't really like it but no one suggested otherwise. I went into to hot heads to see Alex and immediately she suggested we make me darker. I was hesitant at first, but i had heard nothing but rave reviews about her, so I decided to take the plunge! My hair was richer and had more body and was definitely softer and in better condition that before I came to Alex. I never thought that a new hair color and style could make me feel and look younger. I got it done before the holidays and then traveled to see my family. My brother who has never complimented anyone gave me the best compliment! I was astonished! I have found my hair girl. The salon is also very inviting and warm. The atmosphere is very comfortable as well. Alex wont do you wrong! Give her a shot!

i just moved here from minnesotta, i loved my girl there and wanted to find someone better here in denver. i work for janus funds and was referred by a male co-worker to jen at hotheads. i thought, yeah right, a barber! however after having a horrible cut accross the street i tried jen out for a full color, highlights and a cut. i was nervous she was confident, sweet, punctual and affordable. i love my hair more than ever and it shows!! she's the one you want for consistant and proffessional service!! thanks jen,see you in February!!

I found her from citysearch and due to her rave reviews, decided to take a chance on her and ended up with the best hairstylist I have EVER had. Not only do I get amazing compliments on my hair, I always have a great time chatting it up with Alex and all the other stylists. I found Alex (my god-sent) on this web-site. I came to her with a huge hair dilemma! My hair was turned grey by another stylist and it was brittle, thin and so unhealthy. The last stylist I went to tried to darken my blonde and it turned out to be a disaster. I called Hot Heads and needed an appointment asap. Alex was booked but I told the receptionist that it was a hair emergency and Alex got on the phone and told me she would stay late. I was overjoyed by her flexibility and complete understanding of my hair. Alex told me it would take some time to get my hair back to normal. She did some serious reconstruction and damage control. I left the salon feeling revived and more like myself again. I have been coming to Alex regularly now and my hair is better than it ever has been. Her professionalism and expertise is top notch in my book. My hair thanks you, Alex!

It's surprisingly difficult for a guy to get a good haircut around here. Seems like I had tried most of the salons in the Cherry Creek/Wash Park area before I found Candace at Hot Heads, but now I will never go to anyone else. I can always count on her for a clean, professional cut and a good laugh, and everyone at Hot Heads is friendly and easy going. Guys, give Candace a try next time you need a cut.

I have been struggling with my hair for a long time. I have alot of very fine natural blonde hair and I love to get highlights. Alex is the first stylist who has finally gotten it right, everytime she does my hair it looks fantastic. There are no funky lines or spots. And I am not afraid of low lights anymore either, she really knows what she is doing. Alex always makes recommendations and will always tell you the truth. I LOVE THAT ABOUT HER! She cuts my hair just right too. She is funny and personable and whole experience at Hot Heads has been just great! If you are looking for a new stylist, look no further, go to Alex!

Candance is top notch in my book! Candace listened to my request for my color and cut and she also guided me and helped me when I was stuck in a rut with the same old same old. Annie's terrific!
She gave me an awesome manicure and pedicure. I have been to numerous places since I lived in Colorado over the past 10 years. Finally I found a place where not only is the foot massage out of this world but my nails look great! Hot Heads is extremely clean; everything is sanitized completely. Hot Heads is a hip salon and Annie was wonderful.

I started seeing Candace about 1 1/2 years ago after reading rave reviews about her, and I was not disappointed. Candace is so professional and listened to what I wanted and also gave me some ideas when I asked for some help with my style and color. She is so friendly and after my first appointment I knew I had found my life-long stylist and a new friend. She also has stayed late for me when I couldn't get in to see her during her normal hours and always has open ears for me to talk to. Go see Candace and not only will you have found a new wonderful stylist you will also have found a friend.!

I have been going to Hot Heads to see Alex for almost 2 years. I have felt comfortable with Alex from day one. Like most women I do not trust just anyone and will be honest in saying it has taken me years to find some I love! She takes the time to get to know what you a really looking for and I am ALWAYS happy with the end result. When I catch myself in a rut she will offer suggestions that suite my style and comfort level. I love my color and cut from the day I get it done all the way until it?s time to come in again. She is professional and yet very approachable and listens to her clients.
I wouldn?t change stylists for the world!!

Richard has been cutting and coloring my heads for a few years now. He has always done a fantastic job and in June I was ready to go short! The only problem was that I am getting married in a few weeks and wanted long hair for my wedding. He had the perfect solution - Candace custom creates custom clip in extensions made from real hair and measured to fit! They are perfect! I picked them up yesterday, Candace and Richard worked together to make then exactly my color! When Richard was done with my cut and color, Candace put in the extensions and cut them to fit exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I even slept in them last night to see if they would hold up - they didn't budge at all!

The best part is that Richard will style my hair with the extensions for the wedding and then I can use the extensions anytime - they can be colored and cut to match whatever I do with my hair in the future!

I highly recommend both Richard and Candace.

I made an appointment for just a simple hair cut. I have long, layered hair, and to some this may sound like an easy cut to do, but believe it or not I have had some terrible cuts! When I arrived, Ashley greeted me with such a nice, energetic, and positive attitude that I new I would have nothing to worry about. Her attention to details, (including the most AMAZING wash) was impeccable. It was so easy to converse with her. She was very approachable if I wanted a slight change - she made it clear that WE were working together to not only improve my looks but to also make me feel better about myself. I will definitely be making an appointment with Ashley for my holiday party's!

Since living in Denver, I've been to so many stylists and salons. Alex is the best one that I've seen! My hair always looks great and I get a ton of compliments on the cut and color. She's creative and is continually learning new techniques. My hair looks natural and is so easy to style. I love that she teaches me how to style my hair on my own. Best of all, Alex is personable and fun. It's always a positive experience to see her at HotHeads!

I've only had a few hairdressers in the past 30 years. None of them were able to do anything very exciting or hip with my hair. Since Ashley has been doing my hair I love it ALL the time. She makes me feel so good, and young! I pretty much let her do what she thinks will look the best and it's always GREAT!! And with color, well' she's just amazing!! I've never had so many complements about my hair. She listens and suggests and shows she's a true professional.

I have been around the block when it comes to salons and stylists. I have never been compelled to write a review about any of them until I came to Hot Heads. Alex was highly recommended by a friend and I was getting stuck in a rut with my old stylist, so I decided to try her out. I had to wait a few days to get in, but it was well worth it. I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist who offered me a drink, then Alex came up and introduced herself. She is really cute and very personable. She immediately asked me what I was looking to do with my hair, and I told her my ideas and she told me what she thought as well. The color came out so vibrant and shiny and exactly how she had described. She made my experience relaxed and fun. I feel like I have known her for years. The atmosphere is really inviting as well. Definitely not your usual stuffy Cherry Creek salon (and I have seen the inside of many!). To sum it up.... ALEX is your girl!

Candace rocks! Not only does she give the best color advice and cuts, but she listens! I've followed her around town for a while now and was a bit apprehensive about her move to Cherry Creek, but honestly , this salon is full of good people and makes you feel welcome the second you walk thru the door. Candace will work with you and provide an honest opinion without being pushy. She will always do what you ask and with a big smile on her face. If you haven't been happy with your stylist, it's time to see Candace! You won't regret your time in her chair and will walk out of the salon feeling and looking like a million!

Alex is an artist. I've been seeing her for over a year and I hope she never moves!!! She gives great cuts that are fun and flattering and easy to care for without being boring, and she is an expert with color. I have never loved my hair so much since she's been taking care of it. I moved to Denver in June and found Alex through City Search...I see her once a week for a wash and style (I am waiting to win the lottery to have her move in with me, so that she can do my hair every day-until then you can see her too)!!! She does my color and cut and I think she is FABULOUS! She gets how to style hair, I am a blond and need someone who understands color-she has a gift...I went to see Alex to get my hair done-but have received so much more-a great friend and great hair!!!

My first experience rocked. They greeted and hosted me while I waited, only briefly, for Ray. Ray is that mix of rock star and hair dresser with the performance well worth the ticket price. I am picky, finicky and high maintanence and this guy treated me like I had been a customer for years. Dig it, dig him, dig my new cut and dig Hot Heads. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the owner Teri and her girls are hotties.

I have been going to Candace for almost 3 years now and WILL not go to anyone else. I am a FREAK about my hair, as most girls are. I have busted out in tears many times with other sylist who color my hair wrong or worse cut it wrong but not with Candace. She listens to what you want and always does a wonderful job. If you go home and decide you don't like it, she will fix it for free with in a week b/c she really cares about her customers being happy. That is only one of the things that makes her so great. She is also a hoot. She makes you feel comfortable with out digging into all your personal matters. As long as Candace is in Colorado, I will go no where else. I would follow her out of state but I am to poor, lol!

She also does great cuts on guys. My boyfriend has been seeing her longer then myself and he loves her.

Pros: great people, great service, great prices and they are a bumble and bumble salon.. what more could you ask for!

I would highly recommend Alex from Hot Heads Hair Salon as your personal hair stylist. She has all the traits to make herself great! I went in there asking her to help me tame my difficult, thick-frizzy hair and she gave me a technique that has changed the way I maintain and style my hair forever. In addition, she added low and high lights in my hair giving it the ideal balance of color-heaven beauty!!! I didn't want to be too blonde or too brunette, so Alex gave me the perfect medium and a creative cut to go along with the ultimate-hair package! Not only is she a great stylist, she's got a friendly spirit, and an amazing energy! If you go to Alex, your money will be well spent and your experience definitely worth it! I have tried this salon several times, hoping I would see what was so incredible about it. This review is specific to my last (and final) visit. While waiting 25 minutes for my stylist Alex, who was late, I heard another stylist ask her client for a good review to offset a bad one that was at this site. I had to listen to my stylist fussing with other personnel over sharing tips and then telling me how unprofessional they were.

At previous appointments as well as this one, I have asked my stylist to leave more length in my hair but she refuses to listen. She never asks me if I like the color or if I want to make changes. Considering she is the most expensive stylist I've ever been to, I am really disappointed!

Pros: First visit - loved my highlights and color!

Cons: Stylist does not do what was asked! Stuffs product in hands to pressure you to buy.

Teri Russo has been cutting, highlighting, and styling my hair for 21 years. She is the most phenomenal hair stylist and is one of the many at Hot Heads. I get more complements on my hair color from random passer byes than I can count. I highly recommend Teri for both men's and women's hairstyles, up-dos, and facial waxing. I don't know what I will do when she retires!

From the time you walk in the door, until you're on your way out, you get top notch service without the pretensiousness of most high end salons. It's just like walking into an old friend's house. The atmosphere is always up beat and happy, and they have great decorations for the holidays (especially Halloween!).

Candace is fantastic. I'm ridiculously disinterested in spending a lot of time on my hair, which makes me likely to end up with standard, boring cuts from other stylists. Candace never sends me off with a boring cut. She creates wash and wear styles for me that look like I care about nothing other than my hair. I know it doesn't matter whether I say, "I want to look exactly like this" and point to a picture or say, "Do whatever you think is best." I will always leave excited about my look. She's brilliant with color and willing to make expert suggestions.

The salon itself is comfortable and fun - go check out their Halloween display - it rocks. :-)

I am very happy with my experience with Hot Heads. I found Alex because I saw this fantastic color and cut on this woman at the mall and I stopped her to find out where she goes. She was delighted of the compliment and told me about Alex at Hot Heads. I am so glad that I did. When I called to make the appointment, the girl that answered the phone was so pleasant and helpful! I wasn't able to get in with Alex right away but she got me in in just a few days! Well worth the wait. I was greeted by a lovely redhead who offered me something to drink, then Alex came over and introduced herself. The salon has a great feeling and the staff seems to really be like a family. It was such a comfortable place and best of all I couldnt be happier with my hair. Alex understood that I didn't want anything too high maintenance and I needed something easy to do yet stylish. My hair is sooo cute! She completely changed it! She put just enough highlights to bring some life to my hair. Alex is very confident in herself and her work and it shows! I love this salon and my new stylist! Thank you Alex.

I have been going to Candice Post for three years and have always loved my cuts and colors. I don't even need to bring in a picture...if I want Jennifer Lopez, Candice can do it. When I want Courtney Cox, Candice can do it! She is always flexible with my schedule and I never have to wait long to get in for an appointment. Hot Heads Salon is warm, cozy and welcoming. I have always enjoyed my experience there. The free parking in Cherry Creek is also a big plus!! We all know how frustrating parking can be.

There were so many things wrong with this place I don't know where to begin.
I was forced to wait 45 minutes for my apptmt because the stylist had put one of her other clients ahead of me.
She ruined my hair color turning it frost and red and did the worse job styling it. The place is dirty and a hole in the wall I felt so uncomfortable there I will not be going back.

Alex is a great stylist. She always knows exactly what I what. Everyone always asks where I get my hair done and I have referred several of my friends to go to her as well. Not only is she the best stylist I have ever had, she is also an awesome person. The perfect combo!

Need a change? Go see Alex. You will be so happy you did!!

I started using Candace after my daughter had been going to her for a short time (about 3 years ago). Her hair always looked great and I needed a change. My hair is quite fine and thin with a mind of its own and Candace wasn't intimidated by it at all. She knew exactly how it needed to be cut and then waved her high-lighting/low-lighting wand to create a magical color just for me. After going to stylists for years (who never seemed to listen to me) who insisted they knew best, Candace actually listened to me and provided exactly what my hair needed. If I ever needed proof of that, I got it this past weekend when I had several comments on my hair & its color. Being a middle-aged woman, it feels good to have someone tell you that you have the most beautiful hair on the place (especially when you're one of the oldest folks on a weekend camping trip without the use of shampoo for a couple of days.....ha). All I can say is, THANK YOU, CANDACE!! Everyone wanted to know where I got my hair done. So, when I said Denver, they were astonished........as I live near the Smoky Mtns. of E. TN! So, now when I plan a trip to visit my daughter & son-in-law, I always make sure Candace is in town, too!!
