Mostly Good  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

We recently visited Las Delicias on 19th Ave. with a group of seven. The service was good. Everyone was satisfied with their meal, but didn't rave about the food. We tried the flan and the sopaipillas for dessert. Neither were very good.

Bad Food, Bad service, Bad attitude.  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Business was slow but waited 10 mins to be seated. given wrong order. staff was unprofessional at best. way too expensive for the average food quality. My girlfriend sent a complaint email and owner David Bowen included an ethnic slur in his responce. Horrible Business. I have have eaten there a few times and always was let down by food and service. Bathroom was very dirty as well.

Las Delicias a mile higher than the rest.  5 Star Rating - World class

I've lived in Denver for 52 years and I love Mexican food. I believe I've eaten at every Mexican restaurant in town. This is the REAL DEAL.If you're into Green Chili, this is a must.

Price was very reasonable. For under $10.00 you can't go wrong. Las Delicias is located close to down town Denver.

Much better than average 5 Star Rating - World class

Good food good people. I have been to many mexican wantabe resturants, very good food and price. I have taken friends and fanily to the one on Arapahoe road for a great meal. We have had mexican food in Santa Fe and other New Mexico towns that were not as good as I have had at Las Delicious thank you very much. Air Conditioner was out one time which was not good. Try Arapahoe, you will like it.

Pros: good open parking
Cons: none

Good service, unimpressive food 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

While Las Delicias is a convenient and fast place to get a meal, you could do better at pretty much any other Mexican restaurant in town. The service is consistently fast (often to the point of feeling a bit rushed) and food arrives quickly. However, most entries are bland and uninspired -- tamales frequently come out broken, flavorless, and nearly indistinguishable in coloration from the beans and rice on the plate. Nachos are edible, but nothing that can't be found elsewhere. Drinks are about the same price, if not more, than a lunch plate and don't stack up to other places, such as Rio Grande, or even Wahoo's. If you need a quick Mexican fix, Las Delicias is a choice, but you can find better.

Pros: Quick, cheap, convenient
Cons: Lacking flavor, generally poor food

What Happened?? 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

This used to be a great place to go for lunch or dinner (used to go at least once a week), but it just does not feel the same anymore. The servers are still nice, but the food is not what it used to be. The price is great, can't complain there, but the food is not. This place is truly going downhill...

Pros: Low cost
Cons: Almost everything else...

Please save your time and money 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I was excited to go to this resturant after hearing it's praises. I went on a Saturday afternoon when there was not too many people and was sadly disappointed. The food was worse than my Irish-American version of Mexican. In fact I would have rather gone to Baja Fresh than torture myself with this "Mexican".

If you are thinking about coming here.... don't.

Gone Downhill 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I've been eating LD food for years all over Denver- even the now defunct Blake Street location. It used to be fantastic. My recent experience at 19th & Penn was like canned refried beans and salsa from a jar. I recommended it to a friend and was embarassed when our food came. Our margaritas were syrupy sweet but low on alcohol. The service has always been bad, but when the food was good it didn't matter. I'm done with LD now. There are better options.

As to the review below regarding "real" Mexican food in Texas- that ain't it. That's why it's called Tex-Mex. My in-laws from Mexico City assure me hardly any Mexican food in the US is true Mexican either. In Colorado you will typically find the New Mexican style, and the food at the 19th & Penn LD is a very poor attempt at it.

Pros: good prices
Cons: TV dinner quality, inattentive service, tough parking
