Pathetic. We were trying to enjoy a meal together as, then, regulat custimers, and were invaded by a freshly over the border mexican boy who ran a vacuum during our entire meal. The vacuum stood unattended while he attempted to flirt with a waitress. The frail young individual was asked politely to shut the vacuum cleaner off because of its noice and because it agains t the code of the Department of Health. He then proceeded to bang the vacuum into us under the table as we told him to leave. He actually wanted to fight. Again, he was quite frail, which was only outine by his stupidity and arrogance. Management didn;t seem to care. I personally called them after this incident and no type of apoplogy was offered. Maybe it's a cultural thing? Are they all classless?

This was not a good dining experience.
My friend and I ate there a few days ago., at the dinner hour. The restaurant was quite busy. Despite this, we were seated quickly, and our order was taken in a timely fashion. However, the FOOD was awful.
The chips and salsa were not good.. dry/ stale chips, and a salsa that was more like watery hot sauce. We ordered Fajitas for two and it came out quickly.. too quickly! It was obvious that the meat had been re heated; it was over seasoned. as well. The side dishes were slopped onto one large plate.. refried beans that were grey, over salted and cold, a pile of iceberg lettuce, and a pile of green-grey gucamole. The server delivered this quickly, and did not return to inquire if our food was edible! Unacceptable. She came back at the end of the meal to ask if we wanted dessert. Are you kidding me.?! I am so disappointed as this restaurant was recommended by a neighbor. There is never an for substandard food. If we had been asked how our food was, we would have sent it back and likely went somewhere else to dine. My friend reluctantly ate his and I refused mine. Never again.

Pros: Quick service

Cons: Food DEFINITELY not up to par

I have been going to Las Delicias for over 30 years!! It is my favorite restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. I love the green chile, and usually take home a quart. Try the smothered bean burritos, it is the best!!

We recently visited Las Delicias on 19th Ave. with a group of seven. The service was good. Everyone was satisfied with their meal, but didn't rave about the food. We tried the flan and the sopaipillas for dessert. Neither were very good.

Business was slow but waited 10 mins to be seated. given wrong order. staff was unprofessional at best. way too expensive for the average food quality. My girlfriend sent a complaint email and owner David Bowen included an ethnic slur in his responce. Horrible Business. I have have eaten there a few times and always was let down by food and service. Bathroom was very dirty as well.

Good food good people. I have been to many mexican wantabe resturants, very good food and price. I have taken friends and fanily to the one on Arapahoe road for a great meal. We have had mexican food in Santa Fe and other New Mexico towns that were not as good as I have had at Las Delicious thank you very much. Air Conditioner was out one time which was not good. Try Arapahoe, you will like it.

While Las Delicias is a convenient and fast place to get a meal, you could do better at pretty much any other Mexican restaurant in town. The service is consistently fast (often to the point of feeling a bit rushed) and food arrives quickly. However, most entries are bland and uninspired -- tamales frequently come out broken, flavorless, and nearly indistinguishable in coloration from the beans and rice on the plate. Nachos are edible, but nothing that can't be found elsewhere. Drinks are about the same price, if not more, than a lunch plate and don't stack up to other places, such as Rio Grande, or even Wahoo's. If you need a quick Mexican fix, Las Delicias is a choice, but you can find better.

I've lived in Denver for 52 years and I love Mexican food. I believe I've eaten at every Mexican restaurant in town. This is the REAL DEAL.If you're into Green Chili, this is a must.

Price was very reasonable. For under $10.00 you can't go wrong. Las Delicias is located close to down town Denver.

This used to be a great place to go for lunch or dinner (used to go at least once a week), but it just does not feel the same anymore. The servers are still nice, but the food is not what it used to be. The price is great, can't complain there, but the food is not. This place is truly going downhill...

I was excited to go to this resturant after hearing it's praises. I went on a Saturday afternoon when there was not too many people and was sadly disappointed. The food was worse than my Irish-American version of Mexican. In fact I would have rather gone to Baja Fresh than torture myself with this "Mexican".

If you are thinking about coming here.... don't.

I've been eating LD food for years all over Denver- even the now defunct Blake Street location. It used to be fantastic. My recent experience at 19th & Penn was like canned refried beans and salsa from a jar. I recommended it to a friend and was embarassed when our food came. Our margaritas were syrupy sweet but low on alcohol. The service has always been bad, but when the food was good it didn't matter. I'm done with LD now. There are better options.

As to the review below regarding "real" Mexican food in Texas- that ain't it. That's why it's called Tex-Mex. My in-laws from Mexico City assure me hardly any Mexican food in the US is true Mexican either. In Colorado you will typically find the New Mexican style, and the food at the 19th & Penn LD is a very poor attempt at it.

Coming from a Mexican family and having dined at Mexican restaurants in Texas and Mexico, where "real" Mexican food is abundant, I was terribly disappointed in Las Delicias. Like most Denver so called Mexican restaurants, it is just an attempt at authentic Mexican food. It is average at best. The servers were okay, the food was okay, the atmosphere was okay.

Seating was immediate tipoff..non-smoking requested and ushered to rear of restaurant even with completely empty front non-smoking available! Salsa was running and didn't stay on the chip which were cold and stale. Burrios were bland and uneventful. Prices were in line with other Mexican Restaurants but food was MEDIOCRE!

This place proves that making large burritos with lots of filling and something resembling cheese is not necessarily a food item that is tasty, seasoned correctly, and a pleasure to eat. Very bland overall, if you like tasteful food, skip this place, if you want quantity over quality, go here.

All I have to say is Fantastic. This restaurant has something grand on it's hands and its name is #37. This delicious treat is a wonderful combination of all the all world ingredients Mexico has to offer. It not only satisfies your hunger but leaves you pleased in a way that only Las Delicias can.

It's been a while since I have had such good Mexican Food. Las Delicias made me melt in my booth. Maybe it was the fact that I was really craving Mexican at the time, but, WOW was I ever satisfied.

What can I say, I love refried beans and red sauce and I'm sick of the "healthy mexican" thing. You know that black beans, rice and all. Not that Las Del isn't healthy, because it makes me feel really great! But if you want the traditional style of Mexican food at a good price this is the place to go.
