Sonoda's has amazing sushi and a reasonably priced lunchtime menu. Try the salad - it comes with a tangy ginger dressing. Fills up fast, so be sure to get there early. A small patio, but the majority of seating is inside downstairs.

I can't tell you about the sushi at this place because I don't eat it, but I have friends who really like sushi (hence why I was at a sushi place). But I can tell you I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and amount of non sushi options. I ordered a shrimp plate which was very good. (Note: There were non seafood options too.)
The restaurant got very warm (it was August when we went, so that was to be expected) since their air conditioning isn't very strong.
Also the fruity drinks were very good.

Probably the best sushi for an affordable price anywhere in the city. The chefs really do a good job and you can tell their fish is fresh. I am a big fan of this place and it rivals the fancier sushi places downtown.

I really like this place for sushi. The servers and sushi chefs are very personable and the menu is great. I went during 5280 week and got a fabulous deal while trying lots of different courses, all of which were great: lots of different sushi/sashimi, seaweed salad and green tea ice cream. Excellent!
