Book Store  5 Star Rating - World class

Tattered Cover is awesome and really huge. They have such a nice comfortable setting for such a huge place. Tattered Cover has so much that you will need a few hours at least.

I love this place!  4 Star Rating - Very good

Tattered Cover is the best! The Lodo location is smaller than the original, but just loaded with treasures. The staff is knowleadgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is great at this location. Parking is limited, but I've never had a problem finding a spot.

My favorite bookstore  5 Star Rating - World class

Whenever I am downtown, I stop at the Tattered Cover, and I rarely come away empty-handed. They have a great selection, are housed in a big old building with loads of character, and the people working there know books. There are lots of nooks where you can tuck yourself away with your books and read for a while, undisturbed, as you choose which books you will purchase. The coffee bar is excellent as well, and (important to me!) they don't charge extra for soy. I've also been to events there, which makes the Tattered Cover a real community place.

PROS: Location, books, staff, coffee bar

You won't find a better used and new bookstore in Denver. They have everything you want and the atmosphere that you want. The staff is very knowledgable and polite. I love just going in there for the atmosphere. Just ask for what you are looking for because they will probably have it!

This cultural Denver icon is an attraction to popular Authors. When people think of books in Denver it's associated with Tattered Cover.

Don't let corporate America take them down 5 Star Rating - World class

I have to give credit to this book store. My kids grew up in the one in CC. I hope everyone supports this bookstore, they are a Denver Icon. They staff is wondeful, and it feels like home.

Great bargain bin finds! 5 Star Rating - World class

Although we prefer the Cherry Creek location, these two stores offer about the same books. The staff is friendly and the bargain bin is worth checking out from time to time. They also make an effort to have lots of authors and book related events, which is unique. (I have had poor customer service from the in-store coffee shop.)

Pros: Events, bargain bin, seating
Cons: retail pricing, leftist bias
