If you like Pita Jungle's Hummus you would fall in love with theirs.

The hummus is the best i've ever had. the lamb was also exquisite. I would give this place the best review, if I didn't feel uninvited by some of the staff. Honestly though I probably wouldn't see a reason to write a review if I didn't feel so awkward about my visit to this restaurant. I felt judged and unwelcome. A great restaurant for those that look middle eastern. Probably not so good for Caucasians or those who look it.

WOW!!!! Great Food and Excellent Atmosphere
by S R.
I am of Middle Eastern Decent, and have been there a couple of times the first time was on on Friday and the second time during the week with my wife. As with any other good restaurant the weekends seem to be busy and the staff recommendation is to call ahead with a reservation. on the last visit we ordered the Hummus for an appetizer, this was simply the tastiest and best Hummus I've ever had. for my entree I ordered the Lamb kabob, while my wife ordered the sultan combo plate. The meet was tasty and cooked the way we like it. Our overall experience was exceptional and I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends. I think that staff and the service combined with the food and atmosphere make this among the top Middle Eastern restaurants if not the top one.

This place has great kabobs and the lamb is excellent. The baklava is great for dessert and the prices aren't bad either. It is in a convenient location and is easy to find.

Delicious!
by ichuta
A co-worker suggested House of Kabob for lunch and I tagged along. Best decision I've made this month! We started with the hummus, which has a rich flavor and velvety texture like no other. Amazing! The lamb kabob pita sandwich was delicious as well.
I brought my wife here the following week, and she could not stop raving about the hummus! The Sultan Platter was a variety of skewered meats, rice, hummus, baba ghanouj...it was wonderful!
I can't say enough about my experience!
Pros: Great variety, authentic

WOW!!!!! Authentic Food
by lur0518
The food is great and the service is family friendly! I was so happy to find a place that provides authentic food at reasonable prices. It is a family run business with good food & good value. The Hummus is absolutely the best in town, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Atmosphere, friendly service
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Fantastic

I have been to the House of Kabob several times and I have not been disappointed. My fiance is a very picky eater and she was hesitant to go the first time. Now, she makes the suggestion for us to go there. It a great restaurant, wonderful food, and a fun atmosphere.
Pros: Authentic
Cons: Tight Parking

Although I was grown with middle eastern food, I had the worst Middle Eastern food in House of Kebab.
by tanercelebi
I ordered combo plate and it came with 2 piece of chicken and 2 piece of beef 2 falafel and the rest was hummus. I don't look for quality but I look for freshness at least. Chicken piece had a bone in it, The food was not fresh, it gave me the taste of a casa bonita. And I was right, when I saw the guy in the kitchen was speaking spanish. GET A real middle eastern chef will you?
Pros: good falafel
Cons: not fresh

A MUST TRY
by srassas
My Fiance' and I happened into this wonderful family resturant one Friday night to try something different. It was fabulous! We've been back twice and have never been disappointed. The wait staff made excellent suggestions the first time we went. I haven't liked the taste of lamb in the past, but these lamb chops were superb! They melted in my mouth like butter! The basmati rice is delicious, and the fattouch salad has a fabulous dressing that's not too overpowering. On our most recent visit, I tried the chicken kabob.... I have to say, it was the best chicken I've ever had. I highly recommend this place for atmosphere, service, and delightful meals. IT IS A MUST TRY!!!!
Pros: The food is excellent, i like the Lamb Shank
Cons: Parking is a little tight at times

Delicious!
by greenlove00
We found this little gem today on citysearch and do not regret it. The food was great and the atmosphere was cozy. It was quiet enough to have a decent conversation and had nice Arabic music playing in the background. We ordered the Lebanese Lamb Shish Kabobs, Persian Salad and Hummus. The meat had such a nice grilled flavor and the hummus was wonderful. The waitress was very helpful and genuine. It is located near I-25 and is in the same parking lot as a Hookah store and another restaurant called Damascus. We'll definitely go back.
Pros: Great food, cozy but not lavish, nice staff
Cons: None.

Awesome food, great entertainment and excellent service
by shr0220
This restaurant is definitely the best Middle Eastern food I've had in Denver. I went here recently with some friends, halfway through the meal, we ended up ordering additional meals because the food was so delicious! My friends commented they had not had such amazing Middle Eastern food before now. The ambience is great (nice, yet comfortable) and the service was outstanding. Everything is well-priced.
The next time you are looking for a great experience stop by and visit them and be sure to order the Hummus appetizer...it's a must!!!
Pros: Great Food Quality, excellent prices

Very good overall experience!
by ladyluck831
I loved everything about this experience! Service was excellent and prompt, we were seated immediately and a waitress greeted us and got us drinks. She was very helpful in guiding us thru the menu considering no one in our party was familiar with any kind of middle eastern food. She suggested a dish that had a variety of sample foods so that we could get a taste of a bit of everything on the menu. We went on a friday and it was very busy but service was still excellent. There was a very beautiful belly dancer that I guess is there on friday and saturday nights...this was such a great addition to our evening. Everyone in our party especially the kids loved her! Our little girl kept calling her "Princess Jasmine." Overall a wonderful experience will be going back VERY soon!
Pros: reasonable prices, ample food
Cons: Parking can be tight

Food is excellent! loved the atmosphere, it's relaxing and comfortable. The dishes are very authentic and well priced. Huge portions! Enjoyed the belly dancers and the music... can't say anything negative about this place. They also have a hookah bar next door, it's a great place to hang out with friends & family!

Excellent food. excellent atmosphere.
by jarrudy
We went for lunch, and were very pleased. The food is excellent and very affordable. The music and the decorum make you feel like you're stepping into another world. What a great find in the middle of Colorado Blvd. chain-restaurant-madness.
Pros: Food. ambiance.
Cons: Parking can be tight.

Best Middle Eastern Food!
by gray99
My husband and I have been going to the House of Kabob for many years because the food is delicious and affordably priced. We haven't found better middle eastern food anywhere and we truly enjoy sampling the wines from Lebanon. We always receive friendly, appreciative service so we feel quite at home. The recent redecoration of the rooms is beautiful and seeing the belly dancers on the weekends really adds to the fun!
Pros: Food, entertainment, service
Cons: Parking

As always, the food is amazing
by drlsubaru
When it comes to middle-eastern food, I am very picky. Hands-down this place has the best shwarma and hummus in town. Service is getting quicker too!
Pros: Shwarma & Hummous
Cons: Slow service, kinda dingy

Great chicken, veg, lamb, beef, fish...great service, low lights romantic, low prices, large portions
by drdunk53
I really enjoyed this place, everybody there welcomes you as if you're family, have never been to a restaurant where there were so many delightfully different tastes, that knock you out....this is such healthful cuisine, i.e., Mediterranean Diet, great service with waitresses who spoke so many different languages, small groups would love it here, VERY, VERY INEXPENSIVE, and marvelous belly dancing that was also fun....low lights that were romantic, music and atmosphere so authentic that you felt you were dining in a foreign country.
Pros: The average meal is $3-$4 less than other comparable restaurants-what a bargain, and the food is so good/healthy
Cons: none

The Best of the best, but crowded
by mitch1980
My girlfriend and I went up and down all of the South Colorado Blvd. Restaurants over the past 6 months and this place, hands down has the best value: terrific, hip atmosphere with great lighting, cute layout, great location, and a terrific staff. The two waitresses that work in this small resturant provide better service than all the wait & bus staff across the street. It's prices are great, but a bit crowded, but if you are looking for a great meal, and a fun atmosphere, this is the spot, especially for groups of two or three.
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Excellent, I love the Tabouli!!!
by nhughes
I went to House of Kabob with a couple of friends and was pleasantly surprised. All our dishes were elegantly prepared with the highest quality ingredients and great attention to detail. The menu, while small in size, had great variety and quality. Best of all, however, was the service. The wait staff goes out of their way to make your meal a memorable one.
Pros: Great food selection, excellent tabouli...
Cons: Parking, please do something about it

To eat or not to eat???
by tonywise
Having read the other reviews, each says something true about House of Kabob. If you are hungry and on a limited budget, it's fantastic! It's so different from everything else around Denver. Lots of food for Little cash. The old management was awe (really bad) wait staff used be less the attentive, does it really matter? NO, cause now it's under new management I know they have improved, but the parking problem still exsits I tell everyone I know that they should go to House of Kabob once at least. To me the best part about House of Kabob is the humus and tabouli, I have been a regular customer since 1995.
Pros: Great food, curtious staff
Cons: Parking, next time I will ride my bike that way I could park!!!

Ok I am hungry thinking about it!
by brandysue
Where do I start? Ok old management was bad and I mean really bad, but wait all I care about is great food, and that they got, prices are average, good for weekend --belly dancers--, my daughter loves the shirazi salad, oh and by the way they have new management now, mr. saad the owner is really a nice person, last time he removed his vehicle so we can park, the little details count, maybe a little drink bar with experienced staff would be great for the weekends, maybe???
Overall I would say great for family, prices are good, but expect to have trouble finding a parking spot, they could improve on the waiting staff, again I love this place...
Pros: Price, selection, and the enviroment
Cons: 10 minutes to find parking??? maybe they could provide a better parking!

Excellent menu, quick service, friendly staff, THE BEST KABOBS in denver, period!!!
by pamela_furmen
I was there this past saturday for dinner with couple friends, the food was awsome, and the belly dancer added so much to the place, great place to go out and dine, and the prices are excellent, I would recommend this place for anyone, if you have kids you shouldn't worry cause the enviroment is family friendly, the owner is such a nice person, I really dig this place I would rate 10.0 if it wasn't for the parking, but they get thumbs way up for food and service.
Pros: Quick Service, excellent menu
Cons: PARKING... :-), pls work on it.
