This is very authentic Japanese sushi! The raw fish is usually very fresh and is presented beautifully. The rainbow roll is also very good. This place can get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights so go for lunch on the week-end instead of dinner and you will get better service.

One of the two best places in Boulder for sushi

Sushi Tora is a great place to eat sushi if you really know and understand sushi. Sushi Zanmai and Sushi Den in Denver are the only places a real sushi Affectionados will dine. Go to Hapa or japango for OK rolls that suit many people lacking in experience or for typical american appeal.

I wa a little surprised to find such a good sushi restaurant in a land-locked state. This place was very good. The service was excellent and the food was served very fast. It took us a while to get a table because it's usually quite busy. Some of the sushi was different than what I'm used to. The tuna rolls were cooked tuna rather than raw, which was not what I was used to. It was all very good though and I look forward to going back.
