When a mainstream company takes over you lose that special small business personalization. There is no concern for the tenants! Office people became cold & rude. The warmth and sensitivity that was Grand Valley Management was gone!
It takes more than half a day to get a return call and pending repairs take days & days for anything to get fixed. It took them a month to fix a broken water line & we had NO water in the house for that amount of time! They let themselves in whenever they want to come in with no call requesting access to the property even if we're out of the house!
The rent set up is a joke through a bank which handles all of Re/Max's accounts so your rent check could get lost in another account, then they charge YOU a late fee which you can't dispute because no one returns your call.
Bottom line: I would never rent from Maxim 4000.

I rented from these guys for six months now. When I reported an issue with an air condition (weather related) unit at the property. They sent one guy that said he couldn't fix and week later another guy that said he could not fix it and both said they would let Maxim know. I waited and waited and hear nothing back. I called again and the women I talked to said she had been working on it day and night and even on the weekends(That wasn't true). She called me back the next day and said she was going to send another person out to see if they could fix the problem. About two weeks later That guy as nice as he was said he doesn't understand why they just won't buy a new one and told me that he would tell them they needed to by a new one. Another week went by and I called again. To my surprise (not really) she had nothing done and said she would have to call the landowner. I was contacted again by a heating and cooling guy who said he was going to get with the landowner and he needed the serial number and model which I provided.

Now here is the kicker that was July when I first reported the issue and it never was fixed.
Now they want to show my property because I'm moving out. So I found out it is legal but talk about some of the rudest inconsiderate people I have ever dealt with. They are not worth your time and energy.

If I was you I would not sign any rental agreement with Maxim 4000 until you are sure your ready. My suggestion is to go with another company but that is only a suggestion. When I mean rude I mean rude.

When I looked at their renter application form, it took FIVE pages to print out.
At the bottom of the form, it said that my Security was NONREFUNDABLE.
This really scared me.
