Yuan Palace was the first and one of the best Mongolian barbecue restaurants I have found. The selection of fresh ingredients including a selection of meats and vegetables to add to your bowl is extensive. There is a choice of one bowl or an all you can eat option is available at a greater price. I highly recommend that you get there early in the evenings as this is a very popular restaurant.

Used to travel to Asia quite a bit with my old job. Spent a lot of time in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc...
Since returing to the states, I've had a challenge finding good Asian cuisine that matches what I enjoyed overseas...
Yuan Palace is the exception, the food is awesome. Gets a bit croweded during lunch, but that is a good sign. And no where near as croweded as some restrauants I've been to overseas.
It is my place of choice when I'm craving Mongolain BBQ, and I pass at least one other Mongolian BBQ restrauant from my house to get to this one.
HIGHLY Recommend.
PROS: Great Food, Fresh and good selection of meats, veggies and seasonings
CONS: Can get croweded at lunch, so if you hate crowds, get there early.

With Mongolian barbecue you fill up your bowl with meat, veggies, sauce, etc. then watch as they cook it for you on a huge round griddle. The ingredients are fresh and tasty and the meal comes with rice and soup (try the hot and sour). A nice change from the usual chinese.

Best Mongolian BBQ in Town!

My family has been going to Yuan Palace for 15+ years. The wait staff is attentive and helpful. And even though we only go 3-4 times a year, the recognize us each time.
The food on the buffet is fresh and always stocked. Good selection and different choices. The menu items are always excellent. I recommend the crab wontons.
Enjoy this local tradtion!

Very unhappy with barely edible food

Some of the buffet trays were empty and not refilled, bean sprouts looked and tasted old and the food, both buffet and from the kitchen was bland and unappealing. Just tasted like slop.
The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was embarrassed as I brought in a party of four--it was my turn to 'Pick a place".
Pros: none sorry to say
Cons: vegtables did not look fresh, and food very bland

The Best Ever Mongolian BBQ

This was the best ever Mongolian BBQ and my all time favorite restaurant. I have been going here for 9 years and the quality has never declined. I had to move out of state and I cannot find a Mongolian BBQ that can compare to this one!

Great experience

I was introduced to Yuan Palace years ago by my wife. The restaurant doesn't look like much, but the food is fantastic. We have been going to Yuan Palace for over 4 years now and have never had a bad meal. As compared to competitors like BD's, Yuan Palace has a fairly limited selection of ingredients. While this may seem restrictive, it reduces the chance of creating something horrible (which has happened more than once at BD's.) The ingredients at Yuan's Palace are always fresh and of good quality. The meats are not fatty and the vegetables are crisp. There is only one sauce, but you'll never want anything else.
The waitstaff has worked there for years and are kind and responsive. They remember the regulars and will even give out a few perks as thanks for the return business.
The food is simple, but always delicious. Lunch can be busy, but dinner isn't quite so hectic.

THE BEST EVER

This is the BEST Mongolian BBQ I have ever had. If it was closer I would go every week!! Great selection of vegs and meats to put in your dish and lots of sauces to pour over it before it is cooked by the wok chef. WONDERFUL

Great service, great food. Mongolian barbeque bar is the best. The best of all the denver area mongolian barbeques. This is my personal favorite. Serving 3 or 4 meats which sometimes includes lamb, sprouts, cabbage, onions,peppers, etc. all slivered and julienned and ready to pack into a bowl you build yourself according to your taste. Several sauces, oil of orange, garlic,ginger, and more. I can only remember my favorites. Check it out, a Dining Experience but one you will go back for again and again. They are open Mo-Fr for lunch and the barbeque is half price at lunch, around 7 bucks, the same meal at dinner time costs twice that. On Sat and Sun they are open at 4 for dinner only.
Pros: Wonderful food, service,ambience, and the kids like it too.
Cons: Can't think of any. Tucked in the shopette between Safeway and Grease Monkey. Look for the round red double doors.

I like the fact that you can pick your own ingrediants to go in your dish, you can add or detract anything on the menu you want. It is a fun place to go and the service really good.

What a great place. completely fresh new concept for affordable and healthy asian food. Great place for lunch or for take out. Large clean salad bar type of area allows you to select anything you want.. as much as you want.... then you give it to the chef and he "woks" everything in front of you. Great price... amazing lunch for under $8!!
